I am so sorry Judy. Sending you lots of love and hugs.❤❤❤ My family is thinking about you. You're right. Any type of cancer is a big deal. Surgery is a big deal. Your feelings are absolutely valid. My father, grandfather, and mother-in-law have had big basal cell skin cancers removed from their face, nose, and head area. We are here to love and support you. Please keep us updated ❤❤🙏🙏🙏

Sending strength and remission wishes your way doll! I know it’s not our place to judge your partner but you really need someone who will fully support you in these trying times and his attitude towards your reaction to bad news doesn’t sit well with me. Find a cancer support group near you and lean on them too ❤

I thought even if was “just” a basal cell, that they always removed it. Why wasn’t it removed?

I have had basal cell andvsquamous cell carcinoma - many, many times. Every time I hear "cancer" my brain stops processing. They are talking, but I am not taking it in. They have to repeat what they said. I empathize with you. I hope you will do another video to tell us about what you are doing. I am subscribing now.

You are so right about the discredit it does to say "just basal cell." it's not only invalidating of our experiences going through treatment for it but it also makes people less likely to get it checked and dealt with urgently. I'm glad there are online communities where we can share our stories and give each other support. Basal Cell Carcinoma is no joke. Thank you for sharing your story and adding to the awareness about this. Best of luck getting this treated!!🌷

Hi Judy. I am so sorry for your experience with dermatologists and I really understand your feelings, frustrations and concerns. As already mentioned by others in the comments every cancer is a diagnosis nobody wants and it should never be combined with ,just’. I am becoming a dermatologist and I wonder if you have ever been tested for Gorlin-Goltz syndrome (because you had so many BCCs in such a young age)? The most important thing for BCCs is to cut them completely out of the skin. In our clinic we do it with a so-called microscopic controlled surgery procedure. We cut as small as possible and all margins are microscopically controlled. BCCs tend to grow like little spiders with many legs and that’s why it’s so important to remove everything. Also in recent years a lot of new therapies have been developed for BCCs, just to mention SHH inhibitors and others. Don’t give up hope and keep up fighting, I am rooting for you ❤. I hope you gonna find the right doctors to trust. I am inspired by your story to treat my patients differently and I wanted to thank you for this! All the best for you and greetings from Germany ❤

Thank you for all the encouragement and hope! I am truly happy you understood my fear and what it feels like to be a patient. I have never had testing done. I will look that up as one of my questions for him. 💕

God bless you, Judy ... I've been a chopping block for the surgical fraternity for at least ten years, and every six months there'll be another one ... However, I'm hanging in there (I'm 74 now, male). How about showing us the off-screen cat (or dog)?

I have also had many, many skin cancers and several moths surgeries. I have recently seen articles about using radiation therapy with no cutting and no scars, but I guess there is quite a a time commitment. Good luck as you get all your questions answered.

Good luck to you as well. I actually had an appointment with my dermatologist recently and asked about the radiation. She said she never heard of it🙄🙄. I have a new one in the very top of my head and DO NOT want it cut on. It’s another good sized one.

I hate to tell you this you can have radiation not surgery for basil cell. Not all docs do it.

I had malignant melanoma they were going to do Mohs surgery but he just decided to cut the tumor out quick. Said hold this towel over your eyes injected something to numb my shin. I couldn’t feel but like heard cutting it was weird. Had a lot of sun on my legs from running years. No-one said I couldn’t drive but afterwards I drove to work and propped my leg on a chair. I never heard of melanoma I didn’t like hearing malignant. Anyway stitches inside and out it was super huge swollen and bruised after I could take the wrap off. It healed amazingly. I have to go back every year that was 7 years ago. I have had pre cancerous keratosis frozen off too. Scared of the sun now even protected. Now they don’t even know if it is all from sun. Anyway seems everything I have had people die from Good Lord thank you Jesus One day at a time 🙏

This is my first time on your channel! I can relate because I was diagnosed with Actinic Keratosis in 2018! Since then, I have had 3 squamous cell carcinomas. One in my ear, on my arm and the crown of my head! I had the mohs procedure on my ear. The other 2 excised. Unfortunately, the one on my head didn’t want to heal. after quite some time I went to a plastic surgeon to remove the sore. He warned me that anytime you have surgery on your head, there can be hair loss in the area! I did have significant hair loss because it took a big incision to remove the sore and to make it so my hair would lay flat when everything healed! I’m telling you this because you didn’t mention you were told about hair loss! ( now I realize you haven’t seen the surgeon yet!) My Cancer was on the crown of my head! had to wear a cap for about 6-7 weeks and then hair pieces because the area was quite large! But the good thing is that my hair is growing back and I am down from needing 9 hair pieces to 4. I wish I had seen a plastic surgeon to remove the cancer instead of a dermatologist! I, too, am so tired of dealing with this! Everyone, take note that areas of your head need sunscreen too, especially where you part your hair. Wear a cap or hat if you can! I will be praying for a very successful surgery! May God bless you and heal you🙏🏻❤️

Thank you for the comment. I had the surgery today. They shaved as little as possible but still kinda a big area. They said where they made the cut that hair is lost but the hair around it should come back. My hair is thin enough as is. Surgery on the crown of your head is extremely painful. How did you do with the pain?

My aunt just had the same type removed from the top of her scalp and they had to go back four times in the same visit to get it all. It was getting so deep because she let it go so long. Good luck to you you will be OK. My aunt is 76. You have many many years to go Judy, 68 not old anymore !!

The doctors job is to scare the daylight out the patient...because then your immune system will weaken very rapidly and then you will probably take whatever they give you. And..as you say you feel scared, no wonder.. Dermatologists cant do much, because it always comes from the inside. Best recommendations: Check you pH it should at least be over 6.5-7-8 Check your tounge if it is not soft turkey red you might have an imbalance. Strengthen your body with, nettle powder, dandelion root tea and milk thistle extract. Find a herbal therapist . Do a hair analasys and you will find out what your body is lacking. As you had some on your face It might be some organs involved ( stomache probably..) try to look back and see if you have had some things that have made an inpact on you,or still have. For your fear take Five flower Rescue remedy it will definitely help you . Or find a flower essence therapist and she will get a personal blend for you. Bless you and dont let anyone frighten you for no reason!⛄❄️🎄
