They have been sooo consistent for all these years. Getting better with every release. I cant believe they still didnt hit a million listeners on Spotify. Hope that changes soon.

My Dad passed in 2018 so the lyrics of this album really took me on a ride. False Meridian in particular hit me in my core. About 3:24 onward ("Night's quiet, with only one to witness the agony"), my eyes were closed and the heaviness of the breakdown and beautiful haunting ambience took me back to the day he died, and how I felt laying down in bed that night, in the stillness of night after experiencing what I did that day. Alone, with only me to witness the agony I was in. This was on my first listen as I read the lyrics. It has gotten easier to look past that moment it brought me to now that I have listened to the song a billion times lol but it really speaks to how their music can connect to an individual. Sorry for the wall of text! 😅

Akeldema has a similar sound and ending to one of there songs just like this track. Of course two different styles but the way vocal melodys are done and the open note riffs are what I'm saying are similar.

I agree. The thing that grabbed my attention was the guitar tone. It's so mean and nasty without being muddy. In my listening experience, that's a tough combination to get right, but it'll usually make me a fan. There are a few bands I can think of right off who got me that way - these guys, Glass Cloud, and Grayscale Season come immediately to mind.

First track I've heard off the new album outside of previously released singles. I really fell into these guys during Greyview, and their back catalog kills as well but this is such a refined sound to their previous work. I loved the old stuff for its raw energy and the guitar work is some of my favorite ever but this is just pure cohesive perfection start to finish. Absolutely cant wait to listen to the rest of the album. Killer work!
Joel did much more experiments in his album and it turned out to be a masterpiece regardless. I’ve always thought Invent, Animate were too boring, and this album changed it for me, and it’s impressive. But still, I think Aviana did some astronomical album with how bold it was and how well it turned out.
This song has the perfect blend of brutality and vulnerable emotion. The technicality, puts this band on a higher pedestal than most other bands of a similar sound.

I thought Rachelle reacts was being over dramatic when she said this may be her favorite album of all time but I see it now. This is one of those situations where y'all are creating EXACTLY what I want to hear and feel like no one else is giving me. The singing is gorgeous, the screaming is gnarly, the drums are faster and more precise, and the mix as a whole is top notch. And somehow y'all are writing these melodic somber yet heavy AF riffs like you always have but it continues to be interesting and different. I was a Periphery fan boy and I love them still but I'm gonna say it, this album and your last EP feels incredibly more focused.

Just finished listening to the whole album and all I can say is HOLY FUCK that was a levitating experience. This and Without a Whisper are def the best out of the whole album ❤❤
I'm coming here as a huge progmetal person. Normally I don't like metalcore but this is different. It's catchy, heavy, and proggy I guess? Prog metalcore I guess is the term, these guys seem like they create great atmosphere New fan now, especially after hearing the sun sleeps EP. Absolue killer
