Inverness airport has a 6191ft runway, which is ample room for an A319 to land on. I used to work there and have seen full 757s with 250+ pax, bags and enough fuel to get them to Spain takeoff and land on that runway. A hard landing requires a full engineering inspection and EasyJet don't have any engineering support at Inverness. I think this particular 'hard landing' was caused by you shaking the camera as you touched down.
No. The runway is not being extended, just resurfaced. The upgrades to the taxiways and aprons mean that larger aircraft such as the A319 can park nearer the terminal, as the concrete nearest the terminal isn't strong enough to accommodate these aircraft. The B757 has been able to operate out of Inverness for years, it just means parking it sideways on the apron and quite far away from the terminal.

A320 has great stopping power, no point in using more runway as they are turning around and backtracking all the way back down the runway to the terminal.
It's over 6000ft which is not short for that Airbus and it didn't seem hard and nobody made any startled sounds. Are you trying to get more views with a dramatic title? Naughty, naughty ;~) I land here with my flight sim quite often and hardly ever run out of runway or crash ;~)
Interesting going back to this video listening to that lol. To others' comments the taxi way is not right down the other end of the runaway is it 😦 lol
