There’s a BIG difference. I’m sold! I just put my order at Amazon for the Innova ITX9900. I don’t need the heat and massage of the ITM4800. I really don’t mind assembling, I’m a DIY’er. Can’t wait for the delivery and get my therapy going. Been wanting a Teeter for a long time, but I really can’t justify the high price.
I have an older table probably 20 yrs ago it was called Hang ups, but I didn't know if that was the predessor to the teeter. I need to get an upgrade. Thanks for the comparison.
I received my Teeter a couple of days ago and was concerned about the assembly process because when I downloaded the Teeter App to my phone the type was so small, I was having a hard time reading it. I message Customer Support from the app and within minutes (literally under 10 minutes) someone responded and directed me to the video tutorials which walked us through the assembly step by step with 3D diagrams and clear instructions. It was super easy to assemble and the instructions were pretty much fool-proof if you follow them. I'm beginning to feel a difference and I've only had it for two days. I can't wait until I've been using it for 2 months! Thank you for providing us with such a quality product.
This is a really good comparison and explanation. I'm sold. I've had an inversion table for 7-8 years. It's ok, but I wish I would of purchased a teeter back then. There is so much more to it than just going upside down.
Just purchased a Teeter table (thank goodness) a couple days ago, and randomly checking out videos regarding it. Glad I picked the right one! Thanks for the info!
I actually thought I was going to have problems putting my Teeter together, because I live alone. It was easy peasy. The video was step by step. I was able to pause and follow. If it was easy for me, anyone could do it. I looooove my Teeter!!!
Very biased for sure. lol My Innova 9600 literally just arrived about 2 mins before I wrote this. Innova looks way more stable, parts regardless, I am happy with my purchase. Should have called this video, lets toot our teeter horn...even tho its not any better other than set up time.
@@TeeterFitness Yes i did see that. I am 230 and have never had a problem. It does what i want which is stretching my back. The pin is strong and well made and makes inverting more secure imo.
You bought the better product with the INNOVA table. This dude is try his damdest to make the Innova look difficult ! Both are made from carbon steel. Teeter used thinner metal. This liar had those pins pre-bent in a vice and acted like he bent it with his weight..all trying to fool people into buying their $300 and up lightweight junk ! Innova has taken 60% of all teeter sales... People are buying the better product without the bloated pricetag !
Hi Matthew, I can assure you and anyone reading this comment that no vice or other tool was used. The pin bent from the pressure of Chris pushing on the table. I'm not sure where you are pulling the sales numbers from but they are not accurate. As shown in the video, the metal used in Teeter Inversion Tables is thicker and stronger than in the competing brand. The difference is also in the engineering and design, this adds a ton of strength compared to the other design.
Comparing a $350 table to a $150 table. The issues present aren't worth the extra $200. Innova has great reviews and it's a great table for those who can't afford a teeter
We hope this video is helpful in showing the difference between a Teeter and competing brands. Taking the step to invest in the health of your spine is a great one regardless of which inversion table you choose.
@@TeeterFitness bro just stop, my injury has ruined my life and you are just worried about protecting your product in every damn comment. I need to hear customer’s honest reviews without you chiming in, you are going to rebutal every comment no matter what
Not really a apples to apples comparison since you’re using the Innovas very low and model compared to a much higher price teeter, even if you bump up to the Innova 9900 which solves most of the things you pointed out on the lower end model. I just bought and love the 9900. I’ve been on a teeter I’m sorry but there’s no way it’s worth 3 to 4 times more for me the Innova. Go try a teeter people and then order a Innova for 1/3 or 1/4 the price you can always send it back but you won’t.😎
I see that the user with a back problem has to bend over to reach the release handle for the ankle strap. Can that release handle be much easier to reach?
I have an Innova itx9800 and the ankle holders are definitely better than this model of innova, not easy to get out of like described in this video and my ankles are pretty thick. Although the teeter in the video seems to have better ankle holders then my Innova, I do feel the video exagerates the innovas low quality. I would've loved a teeter but didn't want to spend over twice the amount of money. One thing I do not like is the padding which makes it more difficult to stretch.
I will be the first to say that teeter is setting the standard for inversion tables. That being said I can't help but wonder about a fact that was even mentioned in one of your ads. It was said that 60% of your body weight is needed to achieve decompression. Now I am 200 pounds. That would be that I would need 120 pounds of pressure on my spine to achieve decompression. I already knew this intrinsically before and have thought of ways to add more weight to my inversion. At first I thought of wearing weighted vests simple but doesn't really provide cervical traction and also can cause more strain after finishing your inversion session and coming back up to standing position. As someone with a herniated disc in their low back and have spent many years trying my best to manage my condition. I couldn't help but think of ways of solving this problem. The most simple way of solving this problem that I could think of was to incorporate resistance bands to the inversion stretch routine. I did this with a head harness that you can easily find being sold with over the door cervical traction devices. I would attach the resistant bands to bars touching the floor. Once I reached the bottom I would then simply use a harnessed metal clip (frequently seen used by climbers to attach themselves to things). This would provide significant cervical traction as well as increasing the traction with resistance pressure thus adding to the decompression that you would get with gravity alone. I do think this idea could be improved on because I do believe that adding some kind of weight system as an add on could unlock even more potential (and possibly full potential) of the spinal decompression that comes with inversion. That one thing to think about. But I also have another. The other idea that the inversion table will always be limited by its inability to isolated your hips. If one would be isolated their hips while inverted it would provided more than one benefit. First it would take pressure off of the ankles. Which is a huge win for consumers. Two, (and maybe more importantly) it would ensure that the low to mid back area would be properly isolated and thus increase traction and effectiveness. Products actually exist in order to solve this problem and I will provide links below. I am writing this because when I see a company doing so well by their customers by providing them with a product that goes above and beyond what the majority of the market has to offer, I genuinely want to see them do well and to keep innovating in order to be the first to market and the first to incorporate more beneficial techniques and methods. I believe the research shows that most back related pain incidences are caused by low back pain. That is why adding some kind of weight (or resistance system most likely) as well as a system to isolate the hips in the process would essentially provide an endgame result especially when added on to the product you have already so intelligently constructed. Back pain isn't going anywhere and billions of people all over the world suffer from some sort of back pain. I think it would be worthwhile to consider these ideas and find ways to incorporate them into an already stellar product. It certainly is first in its class. Thank you for your presentation and your thoughtful engineering. www.inversionbelt.com/
@@yagousera It’s not a fair comparison. Comparing two products on different price points is unfair. You can buy 3 or 4 comparable Innova, and they will outlast 1 Teeter.
@@TeddyR_Official - Very unlikely unless you've had one or the other and I've had 2 teeter and can say that non have flexed from any part of unsafely operation. Compared to Innova it's what you see from 1st product to "NOW".
You bought the better product. I've read reports where heavy people bent the Teeter. The Innova is a heavier table.. hence it's thicker stronger metal.
Hi Matthew, where are these reports located? Teeter Inversion Tables are tested to hold 1200 lbs of static load and 300lbs for 30,000+ cycles. A heavier inversion table does not equal structurally stronger inversion table. The difference is in the engineering and manufacturing, as shown in the video.
Obviously y’all put a lot of effort into the teeter but you also put a lot more effort into disproving the competitor. Like most things in life, you get what you pay for.
You had me until you bent the ankle lock pin in a manner no one would ever use it. I am sure if I pull with all my weight on your pin it would bend as well. Now to say there are benefits to a more well built product, is one think, and with as with anything there are diminishing returns.
Hmmm... I was on the fence about the Innova cuz it's so much cheaper than a Teeter, but it looks like you get what you pay for. I'm going with a Teeter!
I’ve had both an innova and a teeter. I can confirm one of the memorable things about the teeter assembly was how easy it was. It is also a bit more ergonomic than the innova. They do both get the job done, but the tester is also easier to store away whereas the competitor doesn’t really have the option to store without completely taking it apart
I don’t have inversion table, but I did use the innova just to at and had none of the issues described with the ankle brace. I’m very disgusted with how Teeter is misleading people. You can not move your ankle out. You’re securely locked in... The table is also very sturdy. Whomever assembled the Innova table should NEVER assemble anything ever again. I leaning towards a teeter until I watched this video. I also weigh 230lbs.... Teeter, you should be ashamed you have to lie about other products to sell yours....
Hi Knickster, this video is an objective look at the differences between Innova and Teeter. Anything less would not be fair to Innova. Chris has more than a decade of experience with inversion tables and wanted to see how they compare. Both tables were assembled following the provided instructions and we did not lie nor alter anything to emphasize a point.
@@TeeterFitness Why compare two products on different price points? That in itself is unfair. If the Innova breaks, replace it with a new one years later, and you’ll still end up saving more dollars than the price of the Teeter.
@@TeddyR_Official after looking at Innova’s website, I didn’t see a product that matched the price point. They’re just lower priced than Teeter, period. So I don’t really see the problem in showing the general setup comparison since Innova probably all have similar assembly.
I understand to what to have said, however 3 to 4 X's the cost, you did say a life time product, but you did say after 10 to 15 years teeter people replace them due to innovations ! I do have the Innova and I'll purchase at least three more (if I need to ) for the cost of one teeter. Sorry.... the cost does over ride your quality...... Profit is not a dirty word...is it ?
not really . i managed to get a teeter x3 for 300 bucks on offer up and condition is almost brand new.... so there are good deals out there.and since teeter is durable with good material it would be better than getting a used inerva on offer up because it could break.
I have the same thought process. I’m getting the Innova, use it until it breaks, then get a better one ( not necessarily the same brand), and get a newer/better one later. I will end up with a new product and still saving money.
I was given the Innova Fitness ITX9700 Advanced Memory Foam Inversion Therapy Table with Lumbar Pad for father's day 2018 and it sucks! It's heavy and awkward to use, and with a bad back it was hell putting together! You get what you pay for! Innova is much cheaper than the teeter and not everyone can afford the price of the teeter! I hardly use mine, although I wish I could use it more, it's just so heavy and awkward to move around my back is worse after having to maneuver it and put it out where I can use it. So it's not worth the pain and trouble. I wish teeter was more affordable. I'd try to sell this innova to get a teeter!!
Mine is around 20 years old. Assembling them is basically the same way. I keep debating on getting a new table. However, my 20 year old table is in great condition. The table is made of nylon. Does any one else have the original design table? My only complaint through out the years is heel and ankle pain while inverting. That would limit me to no more than around 3 or 4 minutes before I have to come up.
Same here I have a 20 year table, plus or minus a few years with the blue nylon backing, pull ankle pin, with the black metal frame. I loved it, but it's seen better days and now rust has eaten part of the base and the ankle braces aren't secure. Time for an upgrade.

who would have thought that the teeter channel would find their product better than the competition... never mind that it is over twice the price AND the old model of Innova. Also, the fact that it may be longer to assemble is irrelevant as you do it only once. I could go on but I'm not here to fix your video since I usually get paid to do that.
Hi Zewise1, thank you for your comment. We appreciate your feedback. It is of course impossible to be neutral when comparing our own inversion table to a competing brand, but we wanted to be as objective as we could. It's also true that our inversion table costs more but we hope that the video clearly shows the engineering and safety improvements included in that price difference. The ITM4800 is still for sale on Amazon. Although it may not be their most popular model, we've found that the overall engineering and assembly time is similar on their other models. Yes, ideally you only have to assemble an inversion table once. If you are looking for an inversion table, you may already be suffering from back pain. We therefore think it's important to limit the assembly steps needed to not put undue pain and stress on the person assembling the product.
@@TeeterFitness Teeter is over-engineered, it has too many features that’s not relevant to the majority of the users. I wanted a Teeter, and I’ve been researching on these for years, trying to justify the cost. It just dawned on me that I won’t be needing all the bells and whistles, I just need a simple inversion table. And this video proved I just needed the Innova ITX9900. I just ordered it a few minutes ago.
I have to raise a flag here at 18:47 I am 320 lbs and I have the Innova 9600 and it holds me without issue. Of course, if you are overly aggressive anything can break. I understand that you will say that Teeter is better b/c you work for them and that's fine but to blatantly make a competitor look bad through overt exaggeration is ludicrous. Honestly, the Teeter inversion table scares me b/c of my size whereas the Innova looks and is sturdy enough to hold this 320 lb muscular guy.
Teeter HQ is based in Bonney Lake, WA. Our 50-person team manages all elements of product design and development, testing and quality assurance, distribution, and customer support. We maintain close, loyal partnerships with our factories in China, Taiwan, and Thailand, some of whom we have worked with for over 30 years. All products are held to a standard of quality and workmanship worthy of the Teeter name. Innova products appear to be made in China.
The short release mechanism for both tables doesn't address the notion that people who use these are doing so to provide relief for lower back problems. Putting one's ankle into the cuffs can be a challenge for both. I've seen Teeters that have a longer, easier to reach handle - must be a later model that solved that issue. The Innova isn't as light, or as compact when folded. So assuming back problems, one would most likely have to just leave it where it was initially set up. Easier storage is huge benefit of the more expensive Teeter.
Hi Ezekiel, while we don't ship internationally we do have an international network of retailers. Please contact info@teeter.com to find your nearest retailer or best shipping option.
Hi Sonja, Teeter Inversion Table are not padded and there's an important reason for this - Padded inversion table beds may actually prevent you from experiencing the benefits of inversion: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hghBGnFH1fI.html
Wow, talk about a biased presentation. But, you did identify yourself as a Teeter employee. The question is - do you need a $ 60,000 pickup truck or will a $ 30,000 truck do the job? The Teeter runs about $ 550 and the Innova about $ 150 to $ 200. If the Innova will do the job then take the money saved and buy another toy. Note that Innova has a 4.5 star rating with 34,000 reviews. The Teeter table models only have about 1,500 reviews. What does everyone else know that you don't?
From my understanding, all inversion tables work to relieve back pain, if used properly. The differences are the features and built quality. There will be pros and cons, and evaluate what fits in your use case scenarios … and most importantly, your budget.
The better product takes longer to assemble... it's a heavier more sturdy long lasting product ! The only reason for this video is that Innova can produce these products at a lower cost whereas Teeter is trying to get rich before he died of old age ! That's called a truth bomb and I'm happy to drop it for you ! INNOVA IS MADE OF BETTER THICKER METAL !
Hi Matthew, I'm not sure if you watched the video before commenting. As shown in the video, we found the Teeter Inversion Table to be objectively stronger and more secure than the competing brand.
Matthew, you're not being honest. The steel on the Teeter is thicker and stronger. Anyone looking at this video can see that. There's nothing wrong with owning the cheaper product, if it works for you and gives you what you want. But man, stop with the gaslighting. The only thing this video did not do was explicitly state the price difference.
That was hard to watch. The Inova looks like a better product in every way. He was trying so hard to believe in his company’s product , but couldn’t do it with a clear conscious.
You seem like the kind of guy that spills his drink and popcorn when sitting on a couch and need some special tool or apparatus to help you keep clean for only 3 easy payment of $19.99. Fake infomercial. You weak handed sitting up on the Innova and kept one arm by your side when tilting down on the Teeter and still had to catch yourself from banging your head. I'm buying an Innova.
Thank you for your feedback. We strive to provide high-quality products and hope they bring relief and benefits to our users. If you have any specific questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out.
Not everyone needs a Bentley to go from point A to point B. You can buy 4 to 5 nice cars one after another breaks or gets old, and you’ll end up with a newer car after wt to 30 years for the same price you spend on a Bentley. Spend wisely.
@@TeddyR_Official I have a hard time processing your logic. You don't mind if something breaks after you purchase it? This doesn't account for the fact that if the product, in this case an inversion table, breaks while you're using it (the most likely scenario) you will very likely be INJURED. I'm well aware that everybody has a budget but then again, some people are simply flat-out cheap. And buy cheap stuff. Nobody driving a Bentley ever says, "Man, I wish I had bought that Yugo."
