I didn't become financially independent till I was in my mid 40s after having a major financial setback during the covid , Thank God i'm now on my feet . In addition to buying my second house, I'm also making money on a monthly basis through passive income, and I've also met some of my goals. I really hope this motivates someone to know that it doesn't matter if you don't have any of these things yet; no matter your age, you can start today. Investing can help you change your future!

Awesome, thanks for this video. Would have loved this more if the formula you listed can be seeded in a screener app and we can get a list of such bonds/funds, would have saved a lot of time to analyse them separately

The video is good. Please follow-up with a video where you analyze specific categories like Liquid, ST, Medium term, Long term, Gilt funds etc and come up with how many and which all meet the investment criteria. Waiting for that. Put your theory into practice and show us the results.
@ayushgoyal3797
@ayushgoyal3797 10 дней назад
All in all good video... Just last part with suggesting Gilt funds are safest doesn't give the clear picture. Gilt funds can also give negative returns in cumulative weeks, months sometimes. It all depends on the interest rate scenario in the market. New investors can get confused on negative returns with debt funds. Please give clear picture before making a suggestion.

Best is to invest in Bank FD or Post office deposits. Stock market investment returns mostly rely on uncontrollables including luck. Also, in 2023, taking past 3 years return for any calculation could be incorrect. Reason - Most stocks, post covid slump in March 2020, have returned and grown leaps and bounds.

It was really good. I want to know more about YTM and modified duration. In general, what i want to understand is can the debt fund returns be predicable like a FD? Also, when should you invest in short term or medium term since interest rates going up or down is a factor as well. which did not talk about.
@PrateekSinghLearnApp

Debt funds are somewhat predictable but there can be some small changes and interest rate and bond price relationship is again too big to explain. Maybe one more video?

One quick question You said that debt MF has fixed returns then why We should check Rolling returns?
@vasurajtrading1499
@vasurajtrading1499 9 месяцев назад
1. Was the returns were adjusted after the expense ratio. Or from the returns we have to deduct 0.83% TER? 2. Pls also explain on the taxation part of it. Eventually it's only after paying the taxes, investors would get the effective returns.

i am yet to add debt fund to portfolio... but still not sure how much fund to add and y to add it.. everyone says to "cushion" the loss when economy is down.. but doesn't in the long term(10yr) generally any invest is good ?
@PrateekSinghLearnApp
@PrateekSinghLearnApp 8 месяцев назад
Hey, It is better to have multiple asset classes due to their strengths. However, like you said, in the long term aren't all investments good? Well, that is an educated guess - But what if some disaster or calamity occurs? We are basically just being more safer by diversifying our investments :)

You can invest in companies that have high government stake. Search for President of India's portfolio and you will find such companies. But at the same time, isn't investing in any company that's bringing a positive change in the economy also patriotic in its own way?
