Investigating GTA 6's Mapping Project (July 2024) 

it amazes me how the GTA 6 community can map out the entire city using coordinates and be damn near accurate to the actual games map but can’t figure out who the male protagonist is irl 😅

“I can’t wait to fly down this highway” is exactly what I think about when I think of this game. I cannot wait for the new classics we’ll hear on the radio as we drive in beautiful cars down the highway between one city and the other, staring at the sunset and being stuck in traffic. Every detail in this game is gonna be amazing. Can’t wait.

I’ve always wanted to dive into the mapping project! What they done with GTA V is just impressive

Port gellhorn would be based off Tampa bay probably form the hillbilly parts of Tampa but If we get a full city based off downtown Tampa that would be cool

I just want GTA6 to have general feeling like Red Dead Redemption 2. I can walk around whole RDR2 by foot. it feels alive and character has "weight" to him, feels natural but in GTA5 it's different

hopefully they use the same engine so we could use fivem to do some next gen gta roleplay.

I don’t mind mountain ranges and empty land. For hunting and stuff. But if it’s empty land with no life. No thanks. That’s how gta online was for most of its life.

I really want a San Andreas experience. Maybe it was me being young at the time but when going from place A to place B it felt like a legit road trip and a road trip I wanted to be apart of. I really hope with a bigger map and all our cars going back to normal (no more Oppresor mk2s) that they make the journeys between places engaging or entertaining or enveloped. I want to go from the city seeing neon lights and hookers and the radio playing club bangers and travel through the swampy areas where the radio plays religious sermons or talks about serial killers who are on the loose, hitch hikers that don’t look friendly. Back up through the grassy plains where there are just beautiful landscapes and vast animals with trials and what not. Part of the reason why I want the cars to have gas so that we have to stop at gas stations in different areas and explore.

GTA 6 is gonna be like red dead redemption

GTA 6 will have much better police interactions hopefully, being pulled over ect. add a lot more fear into transporting cargo

The game is going to release and the people doing the mapping project won't correct the COMPLETELY OUT OF PROPORTION airport near Port Gellhorn! I find this incomprehensible. I don't understand why they can't just correct the size of that airport.

They were also pretty accurate with rdr2

This map is looking exciting, regardless of how early it is Defo looks like it will be more enticing than GTA V

The highway in gta V is circular it looks very artificial Unlike san andreas has way better and more realistic highways
