Apologies for the lack of introduction to the topic, as it was just a quick vid of me exploring observations of my studies of installing an internal speaker into my mega65r3 board. For folks interested in more of the backstory, might have to read this mega65 discord thread to get the context :-)

The SID chips have a DC offset even on the C64.

Yeah, I had a hunch it did too :-) I recall seeing it in a past project looking at the output of the sidplay library. Also remember hearing/reading somewhere it was what made playing audio samples via the volume register possible :-) So if I removed this dc offset, it's possible that trick might no longer work (though I suspect it still might :-)). Oh, and I think the c64 offset wasn't as large as the one I see here, which seems about the halfway mark

@@IshiTheLastYihi It looks like the mixer amplifies and fades the offset, which of course, it would, so I suspect that's why.
