We live in rural Clark County, NV, outside Henderson/Vegas. Last time I wore my Last Dive Bar t-shirt to go shopping in Henderson, a store clerk mentioned she had grown up in the bay area as an A's fan. She (& other people I've spoken to) don't want the A's here. I'd personally go to an A's game at the coliseum before going to one here in Clark County. Plus, none of us want to give Fisher a dime, which will happen if this goes through. MLB owners currently look as incompetent as Fisher b/c they said yes to him. Thank you both for keeping this in the news & giving us A's fans hope. #SellTheTeamDoofus.

While the A's ownership are in Vegas wasting time with MLB's blessing on a half baked relocation the A's could have been much further along in building the stadium on the Bay at Howard Terminal. Manfred should have never came out during negotiations and suggested that they would waive the relocation fee which put Oakland at an disadvantage from the jump. Give Vegas an expansion team and let the A's have their waterfront ballpark across the Bay from the Giants and that's what's good for baseball! Thanks D.A.!

I am honestly surprised the A's haven't considered Sacramento, Portland, Or. or Salt Lake City. I know they aren't huge markets, but they don't lack money or resources to do it. Sure, with Portland or Salt Lake City, they would need a retractable roof stadium. The weather is just too nasty in April and October for a team to not have it. I was honestly shocked Colorado didn't do that with the Rockies. I understand wanting a ballpark to look like a ballpark. But, when there is the potential for 3 or 4 feet of snow in a single storm, that becomes a serious issue. If Las Vegas is apathetic towards the A's moving there, then either the A's need to consider a new city or make a deal work in Oakland. Or MLB needs to force a change in ownership. They have done it before.

I'd like to see somebody get a quote from Oscar Goodman! You think Carolyn drops truth bombs?... 😃...Oscar will carpet bomb the place! The interesting thing would be - and I'm not sure how he's doing healthwise, so I don't know if it's doable or not - but Oscar tried to get MLB to Vegas by hook or crook during his tenure - expansion, poach a team from somewhere else - it was all on the table for him. It would be interesting to hear his reaction in THIS particular instance - having the shiftless, about to be homeless, doomed to failure John Fisher A's wearing the mantle of the city the Goodmans obviously love and have sheparded for decades. There isn't any love lost between the Goodmans and the Governor and his upstart machine at the state level, but for the Mayor to say what she said, and especially WHEN she said it, I think speaks to the level of revulsion with which they probably (don't know for sure, and that's the interesting part) both see this A's, and more importantly, MLB debacle...Not only that, Oscar is a flamboyant, opinionated, and pretty damn effective lawyer to boot. I'd like to get his two cents on prospective litigation against the A's from Oakland and Nevada, MLB losng their antitrust exemption - the whole yarnball...I'm sure he knows far more about the St. Louis v. NFL case law than any of us, so I would be stoked to hear him out...To what end does it make sense for Manfred to act as clueless as he does? Plausible deniability? Avoidance of responsibility? I mean, c'mon! Fisher is bad enough. But if I were any kind of financial officer of any financial firm or political body tasked with doing due diligence for any kind of financial ask - be it loans, revenue bonds, TIF, corporate paper, anything - and I looked at this kind of behavior on Manfred's part, I would have to ask myself...WTF? What kind of a corporate steward is this guy? ("...they'll play somewhere in the West...) Is he really even a lawyer? If Fisher were his client there would definitely be some malpractice charges being spoken of. If not Goodman, get some other lawyers on the record about these shenanigans...Talk about your dead skunk in the middle of the road!... 🤮...Have fun at SuBo LVIII, DA. So let me get this right, A Raiders worker is taking a shot at the A's with regard to winning and success? LMAO, Raiders have had two winning seasons since '03. A's have been relatively successful. Way better than the Halos and Spears in their own division. Yeah, tough year last year but they know how to break it down it down and build it back up too. Started to play better last year toward the end. Wearing a roots shirt, no one even knows what that is, lol. No one cares.

The more this drags out with the A's not even being able to produce a rendering, the less plausible the A's claim that the problem with building a new stadium in Oakland was 100% the City of Oakland.

The Raiders are the only team in the NFL that uses a silent count at home, because there are more visiting fans than Raiders fans at most home games.

A's need a new owner and needs to stay in Oakland where they are wanted and loved. Vegas residents should have been given a voice in all of this , should be allowed to vote on this, but they are not given a voice. Taxpayers pay taxes to run their state not to fund billionaires who give little to nothing back to those same taxpayers. Fisher is an awful business man, awful owner who needs to sell and go away

If the A’s do physically move to Las Vegas, the outcome will be the worst move of a sports franchise in North American History. A Franchise Owner who has no investment in his club and no interest in the sport, a desperate Sports Commissioner who wants to expand into a region based on financial gain and no fan base, two cities whose local governments and residents have been angered by an impotent owner and league ignorance, and what will become if it is ever built a sub standard major league stadium which will be known as the White Elephant of sports in North America.

Just a little marketing research would tell you that most of the baseball fans in Las Vegas are in this order fans of the Dodgers, Angels, Padres, Diamondbacks, Giants, Yankees, Braves. Notice that the A's are not on that list. Oh yea, the Dodgers have 4 Dodger stores to sell their stuff. No.1 store is at Dodger Stadium, No. 2 is in Las Vegas, 3. Universal City, and 4. Woodland Hills.

It’s morbidly funny, how people are more concerned with the A’s moving, than what is going on in the streets of Oakland. Restaurants are leaving, businesses are telling their workers to stay indoors, people are stealing left and right, people are being killed in the streets, homelessness is rampant and drug addiction is out of control…. But it’s all about the A’s, and how to keep them in a decrepit city that can’t even provide enough police protection to its residents. Real priorities and problems take a back seat to a billionaire’s toy. Way to go, love the concern you show for the regular people of Oakland!

A's owner has reached a point where he shat all over his franchise to get out of Oakland that nobody cares or wants his mid sports franchise energy around. Self-inlficted wound.

It’s 90% John Fisher and Manfred BUT Oakland city officials aren’t doing enough to fight the move! No litigation or threats to take it to congress (similar to the steroid congressional investigation.) A lot of Oakland elected officials don’t really care about the A’s and just put on a front that they care. I think Oakland elected officials need to get some backlash too! Push them them to actually do something more then just sending video packages out to MLB owners.

MLB wants to wrench the A's out of Oakland. Rob Manfred trained at the elbow of Bud Selig who said in June 2001 that the A's move to Oakland in 1968 was a "horrible mistake" and then lied about its impact on the Giants and performance in the market. Even if MLB forces Fisher to sell, it will be to a Las Vegas ownership group or an ownership group committed to relocation to Las Vegas. I would bet everything I own that MLB would not allow the A's to continue in Oakland under any circumstances.

MLB may take this as they don't want MLB and not get an expansion team, which is highly likely. MLB has not really fully embraced sports betting. Nashville and Utah are the front runners IMO. But its more the Mayor of Las Vegas being pissed they are not building on the plot of land that the City would get more money from. That's why the comments.

Oakland raised grants plus their but for taxes generated through the project would have been just shy of $1 billion dollars. Fisher had to do 1bil + about 100mil extra for a funding gap. No 1 walks from a project over 100mil. It's because he couldn't afford his half. His finances are gone and is unfit to own a pro sports franchise. He also didn't offer to sell 10% of the team to raise the funding gap. He's trying to raise 500mil in Vegas with a 25% sale. He really is a loser with connections in MLB. Otherwise this limp bum would have been axed off in any other industry.

So it’s okay to have a hockey and football team. But baseball is out of the question. Interesting 🤔
