Detectives are searching for a man who left Reginald Stocking, aged 78, with serious head injuries after stealing his light blue Peugeot 207 - registration BK60LXN - from a West Bromwich car park on Sunday night (10/05).
Mr Stocking was moving his car into the gated car park, on Chapel Street, at around 9.20PM when a man, who is believed to have been lying in wait, jumped into the car as the victim opened a gate, and drove off.
He tried to stop the thief but was knocked backwards as the car hit him and was left injured on the floor after being thrown against a wall by the force of the collision.
