You need to pay the exit tax one way or the other, so maybe sell the investments at the right time before you leave?

Nice content Mario, and I have a question regarding the aktiesparekonto and the taxation.!! Say I have a got a gain of 100dkk for the first year and hence I pay 17dkk as tax for the first year whether I realised it or not. Let’s assume I get 100dkk again for the 2nd year, so my total gain over 2 years is 200dkk… Now in the 2nd year do I pay the 17% on the 200dkk or only for the 100dkk earned in the 2nd year?

You only pay the 17% tax on the gains you made this year. So if you made a gain of 100dkk in the second year, you pay 17dkk in tax the second year.

If you pay topskat, sometimes paying into a pension can be a good option as you can subtract it from your taxes.

Hey! You can use any broker you want, so long as you declare your investments to Skat. If that trader doesn’t have direct connection to Skat then you’ll need to do the declaration yourself which could be complicated

Hola Mario! Great video 😊 I am wondering whether any of these Danish brokers allow you to easily tranfer your funds to other online brokers (for example if you want to leave Denmark in the future) or if on the other hand you are locked with them and need to sell the stocks before leaving and then buy again in a new broker.

You can do that but it's not super straight forward and the process is different from broker to broker

If you invest in S&P 500 (I.e VUAA) and you don’t want to sell for the following 10-15 years, do you pay tax no matter what account you use ? (ASK or regular account) You have the following info “, you normally pay 27% in capital gains for the first 61.000 kr (2024) that you realize. Everything on top of that pays 42%. For stocks and most ETFs, you pay these taxes only when you sell.” So if you do not realise the gains?

I love your video. I would like to relocate to Denmark. I think that taxes on dividends are very high , and taxes on capital gains. too . I believe Denmark is not a country for investors and traders.
