it's kinda easier to do this cause when you pull out the crown to adjust the hour the seconds hand stops also and that's weird for an automatic watch

The more haters put down Invicta, the more I love Invicta. Negative people bring out the contrarian in me. :-) Seriously, I have the gold-toned old version of this watch. It's built like a tank and has served me well for many years.

Thanks for that - I think there is a lot that these models offer, particularly in the sheer value department, and the quality is by no means shoddy either. Invicta have their issues, but I think this range is clearly very successful.

+Armando Marcial Alonzo - *some* of their oversized watches I would say... most people wouldn't consider these 40mm ones to be oversized. And that's but one of many reasons... there are quite a few others I can think of, not the least of which include having way too many models, and the ludicrous MSRP listings.

It's true...bought the 8926 (Black one on the left) and what a positive surprise. And, it is hacking. As my daily driver, it is rotated w/ an Orient Mako... but I wear the Invicta the most for better time-keeping. Be well.

My $95 Invicta automatic watch out of the box runs +3 seconds a day! I am extremely happy with it! I was going to regulate it but there is no need. Awesome quality for the price!

Nice and unbiased review. I just got one last week and yeah, this invicta pro diver is just standing out. I have a seiko sea urchin pepsi with 7s36 movement and it costs me less than $200 without any hacking or manual winding feature. This invicta has perks especially a nh35a seiko movement. I love both watches but I see myself wearing invicta a bit more because it is fun. Watch snobs will be snobs because they get offended easily by this watch. In the end, dont let the watch snob screw up your day, because you are having fun while they are miserable and grumpy.

I got an all blue dial and bezel from Amazon a day ago. It was 20 seconds too fast in 12 hrs. I was not expecting it to be a precise watch because for $ 78.00 I don't think they even calibrate them (at least mine). It was set right in the middle of the adjustment range. To make the story short, I've decided to regulate it without the aid of a beat counter. It took me a few hours to get it down to gain to 1 sec a day. I used my cell phone clock to check it every few hours. For those of you that like to tinker, get an Invicta. They look as good as some of those $300-400 watches.

Thanks for sharing that Ricardo! You may well be right in that Invicta may not carry out any regulation of the movement at all. Given how cheap they are it's a perfect watch to give it go regulating it yourself - not sure if you've seen my video on this, but yes, there are cheap ways of doing this with freeware and a basic watch kit (

@@PerthWAtch Just got into watches and bought one of these for $50 USD. Mine has a brushed chrome coined edge, and a brushed finish on the band/rest of the watch with display glass on the rear. It just says 8926. My watch keeps dying on me in daily use (I haven't taken it off in 3 days). Also, I cannot seem to figure out how to adjust the seconds hand.

Sorry to hear that it's not working well... maybe time for a warranty or buyer protection claim? For those watches you don't really adjust the seconds hand as such... you can "pause" it (this is called hacking) and start it running in time with your chosen reference.

I have the grand diver cousins to the 8926 and 9094 but that 8927OB looks really nice with the gold accents. Great review great collection of these terrific watches. Affordable, practical, look great.

Definitely agree with your assessment of the 8928ob. Flashy without being gaudy it is my go-to watch for a “night out.” If I feel like a watch with a modern day 007 look and feel, I slip on the 9094. With Rolex and Omega, these mood changes would undoubtedly cost me $14,000! LOL! Thank you, Invicta, for allowing me to slip seamlessly from one to the other for less than $200! And thanks, Perth WAtch, for showcasing these very non-snob appeal timepieces.

Man, your reviews are fantastic! I usually dont like this style of watches, but I just bought the 8927(not OB) just to see if I can pull it off. Gotta say, at 40mm this looks quite tasteful and its perfect for swimming. A whole lot of watch for 85€.

after watch your 5 across tier homage video, i would have thought that you did not like these invictas all that much at all... but watching this video you didnt put them down much and i'm quite convinced these are the best homage watch that money can buy... and with their variety you can really find one that suits your own taste.

Great review.. I was thinking of getting the black and gold version. I absolutely love the looks of that. For those that love the homage look with the pricey asking price , I think Invicta is the watch to get without going to the counterfeit watches from china.

Thanks for that - for under $100 I think Invicta remains unparalleled as a Sub homage. If your budget will stretch to around $400 then Steinhart would be my recommendation. Cheers!

I just recently stumbled apon this brand believe it or not at a best buy when i was out of town i fell in love with the small circular logo on the hour hand but passed on it because it was at a best buy but after researching the brand a little bit and seeing the movement in action in ur video Im confident this is a good brand and is underrated for its quality

Thanks for that... yeah at the prices they can be gotten it's not surprising to hear you found the at a Best Buy. I do think they are underrated to some extent. Btw that circular logo is what gives this handset the name "Mercedes" and has been copied from Rolex.

That's all I need is to see a collection of my beloved Invicta Pro Diver's. Just ordered the 40mm In Red Micky Disney from Evine and the MOP 47mm Micky Pilot Disney. Great Video Keep them coming and Thanks for sharing a beautiful collection.. I own 2 Rolex certified that are nowhere near as accurate as my Deep Blue, Aragon. Invicta and Seiko watches.

Not really a Mickey fan I do have a Seiko Mickey quartz from 1985 A dress watch. Stunning Perfect accuracy see my video. The Mickey Pilot is also very accurate and excellent quality. Really it is amazing with the Mother of Pearl. Got mine for 100 delivered new. So a Mickey Red Diver with a Seiko and a Mickey 3 watch case for 110 why not. My Mickey Seiko from 1985 is really cheap looking with an almost see through leather band paid $185. These Invicta's are amazing quality. Most of my Seiko's from back in the day were really sub par. Hence the reason I threw so many in the trash.

Thanks for the support! Good question - I would say that the gold blue two tone model is the most eye catching of the bunch. Luminance however is equal in all these models, and Invicta lume is not the best.

Ah I see... there are plenty of options for you I think. TGV from The Urban Gentry (one of the most prominent watch channels) recommends Wrist Candy Watch Club straps.

These are especially well sized for the smaller wrist 40x44.4x14 Lug to Lug 47.82. The NH35 can be regulated to +/-5sec

I think Jody from JOMW channel did a compare with one of my automatics, the Quartz ones should be identical in build and if cheaper then may represent an equivalent option to the Casio. Casios big strength is their long history of producing extremely reliable electronics.

Hi there! Good question but I would say "better" is hard to define. For the same $70-80 price I don't think you can get a "better" Seiko... although you can definitely get superior Seiko pieces for around $200-300. Then again for $250 you could get an Invicta with a Swiss movement, which may be considered better. As to longevity, I expect will be much the same seeing as these Invicta watches use Seiko movements!

Slight correction, the Seiko branded NH35 equivalent is the 4r35, which has only a date complication, whereas the 4r36 has a day date and the non-branded version of that is the NH36.

The absolute best was the Invicta 9938 series. They had Swiss auto movements and last I looked, had SW200's as well. More expensive, but the bracelet, clasp, everything was upgraded and better.

Thanks for that - yeah I think the 9938 is a Swiss movement one, in fact they also have (had?) some that were actually Swiss made too, a step up from the Seiko movements ones for sure, as far as I have read/heard.

Thanks for that Todd. There are a heap of Pro Diver models in the 47mm and I guess it depends on how much of an "homage" you're looking for. The *3044* is an example of an automatic in this size, but does not have the Mercedes hand design. On the other hand the *12567* has those classic hands, but is a quartz. The *0420* has both Mercedes hands and automatic movement but is 45mm. Cheers, Ivan.

guys, i need help. i'm a marine and get roughed up a lot and shoot a lot. shooting causes really sharp shocks to the watch. i've broken 2 g-shocks so far. are there any sub $100 automatic or analog watches you'd recommend that are supremely durable? even if they aren't more durable than the g-shock, what's the most durable watch i can get for that money? i really appreciate any insight. i know next to nothing about watches. trying to get into it. but i'm poor... hahaha.

Has anyone had them pressure tested or used them while swimming? I have the black and gold version, and it's accuracy is much better than expected.

Great video! I am planning to buy my first Invicta watch. I am personaly not a big fan of bright shiny bezels, would the 8926 be the less shinier version of the 89260B? I do love the scalp dial, but more important in my opinion is that it shouldn't be too shiny. Between the 8926 and the 89260B, which one would be the better choice for me?

Thanks for the comment! In answer to your question, the *only* difference between those two models is the bezel edge... one being coin edged, the other scalloped. Everything else including the mix of polish and brushed surfaces is the same. IMO the coin edge bezel presents less polished surface than the scalloped. Hope that helps!

I reckon 40mm is like the sweetest spot in terms of size and suits almost anyone. That's my wrist size too and this watch is definitely not too big.

I recently bought a seiko skx009 Pepsi , it’s ok but I also bought a limited edition no32 of 3000 invicta,, love the invicta cos of the manual wind and it seems to fit my Wrist better , love it,,, gonna sell the seiko and buy another black and gold Invicta ,, I don’t have watch snobbery and I like the invicta s,,, personal choice thanks Shane uk

NH35 and the 4 R36 are two different movements. The 4R36 is the newer more robust version.

Turns out NH35a is equivalent to 4R35 actually... it's not so much newer or anything, it's just that NH designation is when the movement is used by a third party, and 4R is when Seiko uses it in their own watches.

Any tips to take of the end links? Just took about 30 minutes to do it, and I liked the idea to change between nato, bracelet and strap every other day but I dont know if I'll do it sinc3 it was a nightmare

@@PerthWAtch yes but i feel the space to work is to tight, I dont know if the remover size is standard or are they diferent messures, but my kit has spare tips all the same messure, also the spring bar leave a mark on the lug, when remove it, (in all four lugs). Thanks for awnser.

Just spend my entire afternoon practicing putting on and of diferent bands and bracelets on diferent watches and I realise its all about the quallity of your instrument and the fines of your technic, also, puting end links back is not fun. But you are right, its not imposible.

I think that scalloped bezel red and blue differentiated enough from the Rolex Sub to not exactly be wearing an exact copy. I added that toy shopping list on Amazon. I think that'll be my next watch.

Hi dude. You are wrong about the movement. The nh35 is an older movement. The 4r36 is the upgraded movement with Day and date. The 4r35 has only a date.

Thank you for the feedback, but I am going to have to stand by what I said... the movements are the same age, produced from 2010. All trusted sources I have found state that the NH35a is based on the 4R36 - keep in mind that the *4R35a has 23 jewels* whilst the NH35a and the 4R36 have *24 jewels* - how can we explain that discrepancy? Removal of a day disc is an easy mod, adding a jewel is not. I'm have worn my 8926 constantly for the last 9 years, it has a miyota movement, I serviced the movement a month ago, it cost me 20 usd, keeps time like a champ. I have replaced the bezel insert (different colors available) and crystal a number of times, each mineral crystal costs 3 usd, this time I'm planing on using a sapphire crystal (14 usd). I just don't know the gasket measures. With maintenance this watch should last for ever.

8926OB on a black-grey NATO strap is definitely the way to go. Sub-100g weight and still looks great, and still a Seiko inside. Not sure about the bezel action on the non-OB versions though. Even on the OB it's turns quite reluctantly, I'm afraid the scalloped variant just won't give enough grip.

Yeah that’s a nice combo. The bezels on Invicta are variable. Some of mine are quite a bit looser than others.

I have multiple Seiko's and tissots, out of all my watches I love my invicta PD two tone the most! Its the cheapest watch I own but the heaviest and the build quality is on par with most luxury watches... I don't get all the hate invicta gets I guess its just snobs being egotistical

Thanks for sharing that Josh, great to hear! I think Invicta have some issues for sure, way way too many models that need culling, and some designs (not the Pro Diver) that are just plain shocking. Other than that I think you're right in that there's snobbery at work.

Depends on what you do I suppose... I mostly do light office/desk work... if you do manual work of any sort, or if your desk is rough or hard, then I think scratches are inevitable...

A cloth would have to be pretty rough to scratch steel... but any rivets or zippers, or metal bits on jeans/clothing certainly could.

You're better off paying a little bit more for the Invicta Grand Diver, which has a slightly larger dial and bezel, better water resistance, and a more well built solid bracelet and clasp. Although most models are a bit over the $100 level, if your due diligence, you can find some Grand Diver models below the $100 level.

Thanks for the thoughts Tony. All that is actually quite true, and I have in fact reviewed a number of Grand Diver watches here... however one critical thing for many is the size. The watches I have reviewed are all 47mm cases and also thicker to boot, and would be too large for many (if not most) wrists, including my own.
