Music by Horacio Pettorossi, a guitarist and a prolific composer who spent many years touring Europe, just like Francisco Canaro and Roberto Maida.
Lyrics by the great Enrique Cadicamo, author of countless super-hits of the Golden Era.
This tango is very popular and a very safe choice for the TJ, if they want to fill the dance floor. It is played quite often in the milongas, but, actually, it is a very rare recording.
Most of the times it is played out the pretty crap Club De Tango CD version, the equally bad iTunes or (my apologies in advance to those who are sensitive to good music) a low bit rate, MP3 audio copy of some RU-vid versions.
I've also heard few versions manually cleaned by resourceful DJs, unfortunately with mediocre results.
Luckily, I've got a copy in excellent conditions of the EMI triple LP album called "Album XX Aniversario Francisco Canaro EMI4730/2", published in Japan in 1984.
And here it is, for you to enjoy this beautiful piece in the quality it deserves.
