Her reaction is the best one I've seen b/c you could tell she was having a genuine emotional connection to what was happening onscreen.

In the end, Nolan isn't demanding that Mark think, he is pleading "Don't make me kill you ".

"My time here has been A SPECK in the span of my life." That line RIGHT THERE ☝️explains everything about where Omni-Man is coming from. You see, he came to Earth fully prepared to conquer it, as all Vitrumites do when they come to a world they target. But when he met Debbie, he fell for her and saw how cool she was and that she could help him understand Earth customs and it's people. Obviously, given a Vitrumites lifespan, Nolan figured he could chill for a few decades, act like Earth's hero and goof off and get laid! Then Mark was born. THAT WAS THE GAME CHANGER. Nolan had to see if Mark would develop powers. If Mark developed powers, THEN NOLAN KNEW MARK WOULD LIVE JUST AS LONG AS HIM. AND NOLAN COULDN'T GOOF OFF FOREVER. When Mark developed his powers, the party was over for Nolan. Nolan would have to explain things properly to Mark because VITRUMITES DON'T PLAY. Nolan's negligence made a mess of things because he assumed that since Mark was so late, he probably was just a human and could just wait for him and anyone else he cared about to just GROW OLD AND DIE...then he would conquer. It's easy to understand this mindset, since Nolan showed us clearly THAT HE REALLY DOESN'T GIVE A F#@& ABOUT HUMANS IN GENERAL. He was really basically just enjoying what he thought would be an 80 year vacation before everyone he knew and loved grew old and died!!💯🤯

You can tell everything Omni Man did/said was just him trying to convince himself. Also keep in mind, Omni Man grew up in that sort of very violent culture so he's not gonna just change overnight. It looks like Omni Man's time on Earth had a profound effect on him and this episode was him trying to convince himself he's still a violent and conquering Viltrumite

Omni man wasn't fight or trying to convince Mark so much as himself. He was battling himself and trying to convince himself that what he was sent there to do was still right.

Omni Man said that mark is nearly full blooded, so Mark is basically a full Viltrumite because Viltrumite DNA is so overwhelming, pure and dominant.

I watched this fight like 20 times and didn't cry but for some reason her crying made me cry 😭😭😭😭😭 lol

Her reaction was perfect. This was a gut wrenching episode.

It wasn't meant as much of a flex, as much as it was to show why Mark's struggle is futile. To Omni-Man, he isn't being a "jerk", he's teaching his son the lessons he felt he should have taught him at an earlier age instead of being coddled as a human - and lessons he, himself, had to learn on his home world. It's twisted, but he really believes he's doing the right thing and it's pretty cool to see that you can relate to it without agreeing with it.

I strongly suspect that they made many of those cyborgs from the casualties of the fight between Mark and Omni Man

You know it’s like hard to not cry when seeing mark knowing he would still only have he’s dad for 500 years and seeing her cry just broke me xD damnit

Mark’s name is Invincible not because he physically is... but because his spirit is invincible. He knew he couldn’t beat Nolan, he still fought. Even when he’s being beat to death by Nolan, he still fought. Everytime he’s being beat within an inch of his life in this series, he’s still fighting. His fight for good and humanity, even when there is no hope, is what makes him Invincible. And he doesn’t get that from Nolan, he gets that from his mother.

It was a battle. Of wills. Mark refused to relent. So Nolan had kill him to complete his purpose. And he held on until the bitter end and Nolan found himself unable to continue.

I don’t remember to see Avril Lavigne crying. This is the power of Invincible.

Nolan wasn't trying to convince Mark... He was trying to convince himself to stay on mission. He probably didn't believe anything he said including the pet remark. That's why him abandoning his post was that much unimaginable

Being evil but also having a heart seems like the most human thing. It's the duality of it all. These characters are complex and I digg it! Kirkman is a genius.

While 3 of the zombie soldier cyborgs were not enough to stop him but to stall him. Nolan is just one of a number of pure blooded Viltramites. They live lives as long as Elves in DND (thousands of years) and heavily implied that the more they age, the physically stronger they become. Nolan is possibly more of a middling soldier of Viltramites. However with the confidence of only sending 1 per planet (cause that's all they really need honestly) a small legion of about 50-100, if sprung on them unawares and kept low to the ground, may be enough to kill one. the zombies however are stated by Cecil in the previous episode "Fallen Soldiers doing their duty one last time" implying that they are either retired/disabled veterans that may or may not have volunteered for the project, or straight up using the corpses of their fallen soldiers to make these cybernetic super-soldiers.

My favorite part of the episode is the end with Allen. Not their conversation but the few seconds before where Mark hears something is headed towards earth.. everyone assumes it's Omni man coming back, and Mark no hesitation flys into space and puts his dukes up ready to go for round 2, even though we know as well as he does he doesn't have a shot in hell at stopping his dad. Such a great little moment, goes to show Mark's spirit really is invincible

If you paid attention to Omni-Man's expressions, you can see how conflicted he was when fighting his son. Throughout the season, he was fighting over being a loyal soldier to the Viltrumite Empire or to be with the ones he loved, confessed, and do the right thing. While what he did was monstrous and unforgivable, it is understanding why he did what he had to do as Omni-Man was a victim of years of his people's conditioning, having been raised with a darwinistic and imperialistic ideology propagated by his world's government but now that he's coming to believe that his people were wrong and that the Earth changed him, he was becoming confused and scared, never expecting to have fallen in love with a human, starting a family, and becoming happy with the life he had until everything spiraled later on.

I've seen this episode twice but watching her cry made it 100 times more emotional

Cecil will most likely use dead soldiers as part of his Reanimen, he mentioned it earlier when he used them first on Omni-man. He said something along the lines of “These dead soldiers are serving their country one last time”

Keep in mind the first season covers about the first 20 or so issues in the comics. There was a total of 140+ issues in the series and some of the biggest events are still to come. So brace yourself, the best is yet to come!

I honestly see Omni's point. He has lived thousands of years on Valtrum and only spent 20 years on Earth. It's been like a day in his life span, so it would be kinda wrong of him to turn his back on his real home. I wouldn't spend 40 years in one country and move to another to enlist in their army in a day. The only real bond he will have is Mark and that is why those words hit him so hard. I don't think he is evil, he was raised and lived this way for thousands of years.
