i feel henry cavil might play omni well, considering he played negative characters in mi, zsjl and positive characters at some point in both the franchises
@@Batt-man acutally invincible animated movie would be cool but only if it was like some special episode for example invincible war and conquest fight would be nice
@@shxvnk7461nooo!! The finale is always at movie length !! Keep the ep. at 40/50min! So they can focuse and make the story that much greater! Or else its going to turn like mcu, to many food items on their plate! Then they start going to shiiiiiiiiiie T !!
Maybe I'm on my own but I don't see the need for Live Action everything. It is peak as it is, Live Action just makes a slightly shittier version of it (and those are the good live actions) It doesn't feel the same and doesn't hit the same
You think there's a chance that all 8 billion people in the world doesn't think the same thing? That's uh pessimistic statement if I've ever heard one before...
For live action were not at a point we can do what animation is capable of. It's why most anime, and even comics in general don't translate well to live action They heavily nerfed the avengers to try to ground it more in realism and infinity saga was goated. But when they tried to step further into it besides the atrocious writing it just didn't translate well. And it's also why I feel DC is so much harder to make good movies since the scales in DC are wonked
They shouldn't focus on the live action right now. Let the animated series play out until it's complete, give it a decade just in time for a new generation and put the live action movies out. Each film should summarize an individual season into film form. This is the only way to go about this without self sabotaging your own franchise
@GRANIMATIONS-fy8um well like I mentioned in my comment, that movie can be for another generation. We already have the show right now. We don't need the AND the movie because that's overkill and that's how you wear out a franchise quickly. Someone has to learn from Marvel and DC's mistakes
If Simmons were a whole lot younger, he'd still nail how Nolan Grayson looks. And not all voice actors would be able to look like their onscreen characters in real life.
That could be cool, but there would be absolutely no heroic protagonists to root for. If you haven't read it, I won't spoil anything, but movies should cover the infinite amount of story potential in the epilogue final issue of the comic that gives you glimpses of the next few decades, centuries, and millenia after the main story concludes. That would be so cool. Without giving it all away, you could get some superhero fun, but it would be a really unique space opera.
Making it an R rated move INCREASES the fans!!! Age 0-17 or 18-100, who has the most people? I can care less about a PG-13 movie, but an R rating helps peak my interest and there's tens of millions of males that would say the same thing. 👍
Yes, there are more over 18 year olds, but I think people under 18 have more interest in superhero genre. One of the reasons why Disney avoids too much gore in MCU films. I love R-rated superhero media tho.
R-Rated movies have the possibility to make less money because entire families don't go to the movies to see them (if they have kids). Therefor, the adults in the family simply don't always go see the movie. Invincible HAS to be R-Rated, I agree, but it's not like R-Rated increases the cash. Ps: You said millions of males? Wtf? So there are no female Invincible fans according to you? Get a girlfriend lmao
If they were smart. They would make two versions....the one in the theater should be to grab as many viewers as possible to justify a second.... then release the unedited version rated R sometime after.... make a hole event about it.
Frankly they need to be worried about the show right now. The show is great, but this idea of releasing a season in two parts months apart is stupid. They should iron that out first.
That was all Amazon trying to pad out the schedule to compensate for the lack of production during the strikes. I'd bet on that being the cause. It's still dumb, though. No show less than a dozen episodes should ever have a mid season break. It only worked for something like Stranger Things 4 because each episode was extra long and some of them the length of short movies. The final episode alone was as long as entire 2.5 hour movies in theaters.
It's the people who think anything good can't be legitimate or fir "serious" "adults" if it's in animation. See whoever thought it was a good idea to remake every other Disney classic for an example.
They have multiple seasons planned, a live action movie planned, and supposedly a triple A studio game all at the same time. Just seems like Kirkman is stretching his ip too wide until it slowly falls off again
I only have high hopes for the show itself. The game? Well, the first Invincible game, Guarding The Globe, is just another idle RPG with a brand slapped onto it. The movie? Well, I predict that it's going to suck.
@@theoriginalstarwalker4357 yeah there’s the idle rpg game but there’s talk of a full on triple A studio level game eventually. I have very little to no hope for the movie
If it were to be directed by Guillermo del Toro (Hellboy), and Frank Miller (Sin City), HEAVILY supervised by Robert Kirkman, and with Bill Pope (Scott Pilgrim; I think it would make sense to have the movie be filed comic-like how Scott Pilgrim was but far more drastic and scaled up) as the lead cinematographer, and some people from Marvel? I think we'd have a pretty damn good product if the casting was done correctly. And Guillermo has great casting in the past.
i think if anything the live action movie should be more about omniman’s story of the first couple years he had on earth slowly realizing he doesnt actually wanna conquer it
It's not an anime guy's also comics books fit's well in live action since a couple years after Superman and captain America comic came out and they were released almost a century ago.
The only way I can think of this even making sense if it starts off at the point Mark goes back in time in the comics. If it's done as a sort of sequel/spin-off to the animated show itself.
*_If they cut everything from 1-2nd seasons on 30-35 minutes, just to pick best - everyone else would be new. That's would save monie and give movie version of battle first 35minutes just for fun._*
We can do without a live action version of this for sure. But if it's gonna happen, they need an insanely good screenplay writer and director. And they can definitely keep it R-rated. R-rated comic book movies do just fine. It's been proven time and time again. In practice, it doesn't reduce the audience size by all that much. I hate hearing that argument. Most of their worries will be marketing and how to fit the story into a feature length film. What parts of the story are they gonna tell, what are they going to leave out. They could go for a longer form movie, those have shown to have some success if they are done right. If they think they need a live action, the best bet is honestly just releasing it to streaming services, they can make it longer that way, and they would have to worry about the gore and stuff even less. But then the question arises, why even make it at all at that point? That also puts it in competition with The Boys. Another extremely graphic and mature live action comic book show. The best solution is to stick to what they are doing right now.
They will cast a Black dude as Omniman for the sake of the DEI subsidies. Then, they won’t need the movie to make much. It will destroy the fantasy for the fans, and the IP. That’s how things work today.
hearing Omni man’s voice come from anyone but JK Simmons seems wrong to me. Same thing with Mark and Steven Yuen. Plus, a live action movie isn’t suited for this franchise at ALL
Well said. Money grabs have destroyed some of our favorite characters and completely rejuvenated others. Iron man had become a second tier hero until the Iron Man film. A perfect casting made it one of the most profitable and loved characters. Invincible unlike Batman and Superman isn't widely known and their back story and origin story isn't engrained in our mind. That is the run time killer because the time to do that does not happen outside of tons of flash backs or narration. Or both, please no. They should concentrate on making the animation show better and making sure another major delay doesn't happen that pisses off all the fans.
i'm definetly on board with everyone else , i dont think it needs a live action. But if they do keep going through with it I think I would have some okay ideas for a fancast.
I think they’re just gonna make movies for some of the biggest moments in the comics. Probably the invincible war, invincible vs conquest, invincible vs thragg, etc. they even release the animated version of it later and do it differently or sum like that
Honestly, I don't really want or need an Invincible movie unless they're going to tell new stories, perhaps set in the epilogue final issue where it spans decades, centuries, and millenia. I won't spoil what happens at the end for those who haven't read it and don't want to know before the show gets to it, but there's sooooo much story potential there. The animated series is dang near perfect. Having a live action movie cover the same ground as the show, especially so soon, just seems redundant. Do something new in parts of the story that make sense for it. Either that or make it another world in the multiverse where similar major beats happen but play out extremely differently. I still think it should be about the series epilogue, though. As much as I love a lot of live action superhero movies, I've always felt that animation was best suited to adapt comics.
To be honest, if I wanted to make a Invincible movie I wouldn’t use the Mark Grayson we already know I would use one of the other alternate reality marks as the main character, such as mohawk invincible. We all know how his story would ends, but we never really got the opportunity to watch it unfold from a firsthand experience. This will bring new and old fans into the mix and could remedy the casting issues as well due to the fact it’s a alternate universe.
I don't hate the idea of a live action Invincible, but if they're doing it they have to stick to the adult themes of the source material as these are the only thing stopping the story from being just discount DC. However, I also do not just want a watered down retelling of the same narrative from the comics and animated series either. Something that could make the movie stand out as a worthy entry into the franchise would be for it to play out as a sort of alternate timeline in which the early premise is the same but the way events actually play out is different. As further incentive to watch it, a character from the movie timeline could cross into the animated timeline as a major character for a story arc with their origins not fully explored in the animated series. This way the whole thing ties together in which it's worth watching everything for full context but still enjoyable if you have to skip out on one or the other.
There are a few actors who could pull off an Omni-man, but who would they ever get to play Mark. Would have to be a relatively unknown actor because I don't think there is a ton of famous people to pick from that would fit the role. I'm usually not one to poo poo extra content being made from an IP I enjoy, but I don't think it would be very satisfying with where the cartoon release is at. Just retreading the origin story in a condensed hacked up way, with little hope for sequel movies, feels like something I`d watch, but not have any real hype for. Like imagine if they did a Game of Thrones movie that just did season 1 events condensed, but also now its animated with different people doing the voices, while they were in production for season 3 or 4 of the TV show. Doesn't sound very good either does it.
I mean with the right funding the movie could be amazing! sure theres some things that wouldnt correlate between the comics and live action but there was the same problem with mcu and they still managed to make good movies out of the comics
because it's a tv show in the animated series I believe it much wiser to make a tv show but it needs a decent budget and the special effects need to not have overpricing since it can be done well without high expenditure The Boys, Superman and Lois (with exception of the bad cgi'd doomsday fight) and even that one dude who proved he didn't need millions to remove cavil's moustache! I don't think a big budget is need thus far examples like one piece have shown adaptations can be done well as long as they cut out the filler that most animes tend to stuff in since animation takes alot of time!, as for the rating i'd rather watch an R rated invincible on netflix or something since they're studios are well built for ventures like this and they're damn good at it
WWhat if we make a Nolan film first starting with his upbringing, his assignment of earth and meeting Debbie, having a son then kill guardians end with him coming face to face with his son. Then an Invincible film picks up with them fighting, dad leaves, son struggles but helps new guardians and fights angstrom ending with him stranded. I haven't read comics but third film could be called Atom Eve as Guardians arrive to save mark and by this point Amber has or is about to break up with Mark. Nolan's Books (idk if they're true yet) could be given to Allen in third film?
bro, if they made it more approachable for kids would do MORE damage cause then they would THINK they would be able to watch the show and read the comics which are NOT FOR KIDS. So yea lets make it PG13 and accessible for kids and then make them unable to look into the rest of the IP cause its rated too high XD or worse end up putting MORE gore in front of them with multiple animated seasons and books and more.
3:00 deadpool disproves that a good movie suffers from a R rating. the movie can be R rated and it wouldn't matter, especially today. i think the biggest issue is that the show already exist and that shortening the story to a few hours would make the whole movie feel extremely rushed. you'd have to have the guardians killed within 15 minutes to make reasonable time for anything else and that would destroy any possible meaning behind the action.
The point about Deadpool is accurate, and I agree. Also, condensing 8 hours of content into three hours would be impossible. In Season 1, we had eight hours to tell the arc. If they try to shorten it, we might end up with something like the Airbender film, where the entire arc was compressed into two hours, resulting in a terrible movie. The same goes for DragonBall Evolution. The best approach would be to commission three films, each spanning three hours, making it a total of nine hours, and then release them throughout the year. I say throughout the year because no-one wants to wait a couple of years to see the next arc of the same story.
Making a live action movie about invincible is not a good idea, the only way that they could make this work is by telling the origin stories of characters from the show and comics, like Conquest or even Thragg. They could also expand even more the info about the Viltrumite empire or the coalition of planets.
Invincible live action would be the same as Transformers from Michael Bay but with people instead of robots, imagine that and you get a picture of how this would need to be, it would be a Saw level of gore but with powers.
Well if Invincible will be a live action TV show just like the boys while they should do a distinction separate the animated TV show invincible and do a live action TV show and to retell the story in a different way to make it more similar to the boys or they should do it similar like a mix between kickass and the boys it will be fantastic if they do that because Invincible it gives me kickass vibes so they could do something like that and also mix it with the boys 9:19
My genuine reaction to seeing this was BRO REALLY, this just isn’t a smart idea at all. Instead of doing invincible MAKE ANOTHER SUPERHERO MOVIE WITH NEW CHARACTER BE FRICKEN ORIGINAL
Even though the comic story is long I feel that the show will take longer as invincibles origin issues can be read in 2 hrs while seasons 1 and 2 take upwards of 20hrs to watch
Instead of a 3rd form of Invincible do a live action Omni man prequel starring Henry Cavil, with a touch of gray and a mustache. Covering the Viltrumite Civil War and the Virus.
The main reason the comics arent as good as the show is because of how rushed so many of the plot points are, especially early on. I dont want to see the events of what pan out in multiple seasons, or even one season of the show compacted into one movie. If there is a live action I really hope its about something that the show doesnt already cover.
No one asked for a live action adaptation especially when the animation is still on going. When will studios learn that adapting animation to live action 9/10 times will fail because the potential for storytelling in animation is infinitely more that in real life.
Please Please please movie would be killer. Tell it for 3rd time ypu can't change a thing. This show (storie, comic) is awesome. Should have a prequel of the first team they looked killer. All over it love it
Why? When was the last good movie he produced? I’ve just been disappointed by him lately. First of all I’m not interested in a live action invincible in the slightest. Just fuck off with that. And I’m not interested in anything Sam rami makes atm after seeing what he did with doctor strange and the multiverse. Rami is good with his evil dead stories. He can’t do superhero’s.
@@yowen2327I mean I didn’t hate his doctor strange film and he made arguably the 2 best Spider-Man films. He also made arguably the worst but it’s well known he didn’t make the movie he wanted to make. I don’t want him to make invincible though regardless. Maybe James Wan.
I love invincible I have read the whole comic series 2 times and watching both seasons way to many times over again and I can’t wait till season 3. That being said. I in absolutely no way want a live action of it.
Why can't they have their original looks? Battle Beast can be CGI just like the Hulk etc. I don't think a live-action invincible would work that well though.
bruh there is already a superhero TV show that is heavily bloody and violent called The Boys, its already a success, also I think the best candidate for a film director is Quentin Tarantino and For Omniman Henry Cavill
@@The__Deadman Well they’d also have to deepfake his face given his old age, since if this was J.K. Simmons 20 years ago at the time of the Spider-Man trilogy, then he’d have been perfect as Omni-Man.
To be honest I would prefer Invincible to be a live-action TV series just like the boys I think it would work better as a live-action TV series they could do more episodes than the animated version of invincible they could do 22 episodes to do a live-action Invincible TV series 3:54
Regardless of how the movie performs it will undoubtably somewhat damage the invincible ip as there is no good outcome to this frankly if we can sus this out with this little info then from a business standpoint I'm surprised that they are even bothering making a movie at all as it clearly wont do any good for them or the fans
