Hello my fellow dweebs and welcome back to my Invincible reaction series! In this video I watch and react to season 2 episode 7, ‘I’m Not Going Anywhere’! For early access to my videos, full length reactions and more: / alyciadweeb
I went to read the comic after I finished watching season 2, and that scene with the comic artist is also great there, but he's talking about cutting corners when making comic books instead, like reusing panels and stuff, I loved how they adapted the same way for animation instead, and it also turned out pretty funny and meta.
Yep, as I was watching it I was cackling because I remembered the comic doing the same thing. It's a brilliantly self-aware nod to how long it took to get things done for this season.
@@Zartoo_3rd_Overlord_ofBlargon7 Absolutely. The show consistently makes better choices than the comics. Really the only time they messed up was how they handled Amber already knowing about Mark in season 1.
11:12. Maybe it's just me, but I feel Levy's hatred of our Mark is unjustified. Levy said that in most other dimensions Invincible helps Omni-Man take over the planet, but our Mark didn't. Sure, the transfer of memories of his other selves showed Levy what an evil Invincible could be like, but he knows our Invincible is a hero. If Levy is mad at Mark for stopping the memory transfer, as Mauler pointed out by taking of the helmet it caused all of his other selves to die (which Levy seemed to gloss over) & his brain to be deformed. Also, Levy was the 1 who decided to transfer 1,000 minds all at once instead of 1 at a time, so was his own carelessness that caused him to become a villain. Finally, I feel Levy should have teamed up with our Mark to learn more about why he opposed Omni-Man & the Viltrumite Empire since he knows most Marks teamed up with them. If Levy had discovered why our Mark was unique in wanting to protect the Earth he could find a way to stop the Viltrumite Empire here.
This pair of last episodes is crazy good and they hit all the marks if you'll excuse the pun. Plenty of surprises to come in the last episode, so get ready!
This show does a really good job of adapting the comics, I will say that the majority of the Donald stuff is not from the comics and is made for the show, and honestly it's so great, a wonderful addition to an already great story.
Heyyy how are you doing girl! I've been waiting for your reacts, they're so funny. I think you should do a rating video of every seties you watched and rank them! Hope you the best! ❤
That speech Donald gives is one of the best (reason for not committing suicide) speeches I have ever heard in a series. I feel like the person that wrote that has had to deal with some heavy stuff in their life.
We may not be able to relate to their relationship problems since superheroes don't exist for us but just imagine it's her dating a cop firefighter or military service member and that's close enough. Someone with a risky occupation.
I gotta say, I really enjoyed Anissa's introduction into the Amazon Prime series, though I'm not really looking for "that" particular moment between her & Mark being adapted. Also, I was surprised that she was remodeled a bit in the show that she resembles Sasha Calle's Supergirl.
@1:31 You are the ONLY reaction vid that has enjoyed that scene as much as I did. I do not get how reacting to that scene was left out of the ones I watch. Thank You!!!
