I'm so glad to see a story about regular people's lives in a Chinese historical fiction setting. Not *everyone* can be a character destined for the palace; let the laymen have greatness like this more often!
Am i the only one who wants a part two? A happy ending where chi yue gets to live happily with the children and ji hong..where ji hong confesses and chi yue tells them about her actual life and all...??😭😭
That's why i don't like time travel or stories based on dreams. The ending was bittersweet 🤧, i also wanted her to stay there and not go. Best stepmother in the history of stepmothers ❤️. I love that it didn't focus on the romance but dived depeer into other forms of love, nice family. I enjoyed it !❤️❤️
True…but she did love the scholar and he was just dismissed at the end. Didn’t fit in my book. The kids loved him too…so why not have him show up as another actor?
I hesitated to watch at first because I wasn’t sure I’d enjoy a story about a plain stepmother. I was wrong. This was a refreshing break from palace drama! Very sweet story
Simon Chen (Ji Hong character) is so handsome and talented, his facial expressions are wonderful! I hope to see Simon Chen as the main male lead in many more romantic/action dramas!
I just discovered this 😂 and straight up binged it. 😁 I love 🥰 how Chi Yue immediately handled everything that was thrown at her, she had all sorts of streets smarts and business ethics, she knew Kung Fu/self-defense and came to genuinely care for the kids. ❤❤❤ I also loved how the episodes were shorted and immediately jumped to the next one within a few seconds. 😘 One of the funniest parts to me was her telling her Mother-in-law which part of her flesh she gave up to be made into medicine for her. 🤣🤣🤣 The only thing I feel didn't fit was the Magistrate letting Chi Yue's Sister-in-law off the hook so easily without so much as a beating, especially when she conspired against his unborn child. 🤔🤷♀️ Other than that, the ending was good, but I wanted to see Ji Hong appear again. 😚
After watching, I like to believe that she didn't time travel, but instead, she dreamed of her next filming set and storyline. This way, it's less sad. 😂 Because even if she met the kids in current life, they won't be her kids. Since the kids probably have parents of their own. Otherwise, how could they become actors? Also Ji Hong. Not seeing him at the end is so sad. Would have been nice if he was in the last scene too.
One of the best cdramas this year. The plot is interesting and I really like the village setting. I love Chi Yue's character. The three children are great actors and bring their characters to life. Also, I would love to see Ji Hong and Chi Yue in other projects soon, they are great. 💖

Loveddd the storyy..even though their was no love story but the ultimate love of a mother and affection to kidss was lovely to watch....such a beautiful drama...the girl was such a genius...she mastered in every subject fro my pov as she was good in defence,drama, cooking,revenge,business, doctor, engineer and what not ❤❤❤😂
Well what a super talented person she was🤣🤣 from being an actress to having multiple skills with little effort, amazing, who knew she was the inventor of cocktails and guns.😂😂 So didn't get to see a lookalike man to the one who fancied her in the past, now that she's back. Loved how she got one over her mother-in-law when told she had to use her flesh as a cure 🤢. Well done.
Wow, I think I'm going to save this one. This is going to be one of the best mini drummers I've seen in a long time. Doesn't follow the silly tropes and storylines of so many others that we find online. The lead actress is fantastic in her role, but she gets overshadowed by the cuteness factor of the kids in a major way. I absolutely loved how the children presented themselves fantastic actors all of them! I highly recommend watching this one. I look forward to more of this quality mini drama.
Whenever I come across this drama I can't help but to watch it, if am not mistaking I have watch it more than five times I really love this drama the kids are really good in acting in the future them will be a great actor and actress including the FL and ML much love for them ❤❤ keep up the good work more success to you guy's
Chi Yue acting oblivious about Ji Hong feelings made me like, isn't she supposed to be a modern woman who have a lot of people who like her. How can she not get someone being so obvious about having feelings for her.
So refreshing to watch the setting of the drama of the family as a poor background instead of the usual palace and noble family settings. So good to see the relationship between the stepmom and her children as the center of the plot and less love line between couple. Fl is so cute, strong and no nonsense woman.
Omg so i spent 3 good hours watching someone’s dream wow 😢 buh honestly this drama is so nice and am addicted to it. I really lyk the little girl she so cute 🥰
One of the best story ever I hv seen. I always like this type of story in which lady goes to ancient times. So far I hv seen 4 or 5 stories like tht & I really loved it all of them. Thanks for uploading such a wonderful story.
Really awesome version of the plot. YOUKU drama's are on another level. I enjoyed every bit of this drama. And the kids were great. With a dream ending...on to the next!!!
I do get the fl's inlaws to a point. They want her out, thats logical. But the neighbor's mother in law makes no sense. She is again the person feeding her, clothing her and putting a roof over her head. Please, explain that.
I love time travel drama and some time travel the ML travel in time to meet FL and they live happily after, other times it a sad ending but I still love it! There a couple of time travel dramas that I truly love ❤ I will rewatch those
This is a really good mini-drama. I love strong, mature and intelligent female leads. I hope this drama gets more audience, seriously. Acting is good and the good characters are charming ❤.
Fantastic. LMAF. Great story and one liners. But the bad guys needed to be punished and the ending was not complete with out the ML. Otherwise this was great watch.
