Thank you SO much for this video! I just decided today to get invisalign but I was pretty peeved with my orthodontist as they did not tell me I would need attachments until today. I had my initial appointment with them two weeks ago and was so excited since they said they could fix my open-bite with invisalign but they did not mention the attachments until today :| After this video though, I'm not as worried as I was before! Thank you!
Hey! Oh thank you so much for watching, it's so good to hear it's helpful! Ah that's so annoying, they probably forget to mention it because to be honest most people need attachments - it does put a lot of people off but honestly it's nothing to worry about, it just means your alignment will be better! I'm nearly finished my treatment now and am so pleased with the results! Good luck! x
Oh that’s so good to hear!! I am on tray 9 now, honestly the first ones after attachments hurt the most but it just gets easier from there, I’m having no trouble! X
Thank you your details felt comforting since I've just got my first attachments today. I got hungry and didn't want to take them out because when you put in new invisaligns they can truly hurt, but like you said after 48 hours it feels okay. I had to do what I dreaded, remove them to eat. Oh my it was painful and difficult. I didn't know if I could do it but I did! I got them back in now. I hope I don't get hungry because I don't want to go through this again to eat today.
I just got my attachments and trays today and when I went to brush my teeth, the teeth with the attachments are EXTREMELY sensitive and it was so painful just to brush. Is that normal?
@@Tarable02 Yes Tara, the attachments the first week was very uncomfortable for me to eat and brush my teeth, it got better within a few weeks and now I hardly feel them. Yes brushing is painful for a few weeks too but everyone is different. Everytime I put in new ones my teeth are sore too for a few days.
@@MariaJBlogs With working from home and eating out less it's easier to brush my teeth in the middle of the day! Have you experienced any weight loss with invisalign?
Yesss I’ve found the same, I’m so glad I did it now, it’s made the whole process so easy 😂 nah I’m eating the same as I always have, I just make sure to put them in straight after eating and try to only take them out 3/4 times a day
First day I got Invisalign and attachment. While eating my attachments were grinding the inside of my mouth. They are feeling raw and are painful. I’m hope that will go away in a couple of days. Thanks for info.
oh wow! I hope that clears up for you soon, I didn't experience anything like that but I'm sure it's temporary - maybe check with your dentist if you're unsure! x
I have the same issue. I have 18 attachments and the edges are sharp. I was in a hurry to get my aligners back in after eating because they protect the inside of my lips and cheeks!
I was asked if I minded having buttons. They didnt say I NEEDED them, but I had no idea what they were referring to so I said yes. Guess im getting them.
Did you also have to get ICP? The sanding down between teeth is what was so hard for me. That was a rough process. I have 21 dang attachments. My dentist didn’t think I would need this many and also didn’t think I would need that many attachments. But he kept mine to 14 trays so maybe that’s why we went so vigorously with attachments and ICP.
I got my Invisalign 3 days ago. I hate my attachments and have them on every tooth. My teeth really ache when I take mine out. I'm not sure if when people say pain, that is what they mean. Also, they are a pain in the backside to eat with, they feel sharp, and I have one under my tongue which has given me a nasty blister. If anyone has a similar experience, please could you reply, I just want to know I'm not the only one with these pains. I am nervous because i have to go to school tomorrow and am scared that when I need to eat, it will be painful and will take a while to take my trays out.
Hey! Oh noo! I promise you it gets SO much easier after the first few days with attachments I’m on aligner 14 now and they just pop out, just use your thumbs for the bottom and your index fingers for the top ones, it will hurt but you just have to persist with it, it gets SO much easier once you’ve done it a few times x
@@abegailpar9811 yess I got my attachments at tray 3 as well, honestly it does pass and now when I put a new one in they don’t even hurt! They stopped hurting after like tray 5! X
I got my invisalign last week and I don’t feel any pain at all (I don’t have attachments yet, I’ll get them next trade) but my tongue hurt because I have small “cuts” and I can feel I have invisalign all the time. Does this pass after using invisalign for some time?
Hi, no you don't take these off yourself, the dentist does that when you finish treatment. You take your aligners off to eat and brush, they don't fall off! :)
