I know I am watching this 3 years after it was uploaded but I am so happy for you. My dental overcrowding problems are very similar to yours, both my upper incisors and my canines are protruding and I have finally saved the money required for Invisalign so I am looking forward to starting as soon as the lockdown measures are lifted. I am also thinking I would like to document it, more so for my own sake to be able to look back during the journey, but I must say I am bit a afraid of putting that content out there and I don't know if anyone would be interested in hearing me talk about my teeth.
I have watched and re-watched all of the videos in this series. They have been extremely informative and helpful as I’ve gone through my Invisalign journey. I’m at the stage where my top and bottom bars are on and having to wear a top retainer all the time for a couple of months. No bottom retainer made yet… so my bite can align.
I recently met up w a friend. He was like "why bother with Invisalign; you have such aligned teeth!". I had to show him how bad my teeth were and he was amazed at how far I have come! And I am not even done. Though I almost seeing the end, but still, I am excited!
prankzter starr It's often the way - some people asked if I would be happy if I stopped at halfway through. Truthfully, probably yes, the improvement was so drastic. But it's all geared towards the final tray so that's the one to wait for :)
I have greatly enjoyed watching your videos and I have watched every single one of them! They are great and you are such a "natural" on camera. You really ought to pursue something on film (if you aren't already). Personally, I'm a simple orthodontic case and only have a top tray that I will wear for 6 months. I'm one of many who had braces as a kid and as I grew into adulthood, my teeth shifted slightly, but enough to not like their appearance. Anyway, just wanted to let you know your videos are the best for people who are interested in getting aligners and your transformation has been incredible. You have really good looking teeth and a perfect smile. It would have been a huge injustice to yourself to not straighten them out! Cheers from So. Calfornia. Do keep the videos coming about life after aligners. They are much appreciated.
Hey - thanks for watching :) And I would like to grow my channel, perhaps to talk about games or music (or both), so yes - more camera for sure. And also that's very kind of you to say! I hear a lot from people who had braces as a kid and then have come to Invisalign later. It's certainly good for minor corrections, mine was a rather extreme case. And I will indeed keep the vids up, I'm really enjoying making them. Cheers from Bath, UK!
I have been thinking about getting Invisalign, and I watched your entire diary to get information before i go to my orthodontist. It has been so informative and helpful, and your results look sooooo good! :D I've been feeling so insecure about my teeth for a long time, so I can't wait to go in for a consultation on Thursday :) and hopefully I can get Invisalign too :) wish you all the best :) - Thea (viewer from Norway)
SprinkleOfThea Aww, thank you! Your teeth don't look bad anyway :) But I'm sure you'll be able to have it. Very best of luck, do let me know how you get on!
Thanks for your videos! :D I'm on tray number 3 of 14 and wow the attachments make the movement hurt so much more - but I'm guessing that's from more movement? Seeing your teeth makes me remember it's all worth while 😂! Thanks
Hey - you're welcome! Yes, having the attachments means the trays grip your teeth more, which means when you take them off, it tugs harder at your teeth in the process which can hurt. It will get better, especially as your teeth get straighter so the trays won't be as difficult to remove. And yes - all worthwhile in the end! Good luck :)
I love your videos! Your teeth look amazingly FAKE! But you look gorgeous!!!! Congrats. I have one question about IPR. After you’ve done the IPR, do the tech become more sensitive? I haven’t done it but just a bit concern🤔 thanks.
Did you have to wear the last tray for a longer time than normal, or did they just place the metal lingual retainers and switch you to overnight retainers only?
bench175 The top trays finished three trays before the bottom ones, so I just wore that top one longer. I then spaced out the last three trays as I closed the last IPR gap on the bottom teeth to complete the process properly in time for my final appointment. Then I went in, they took moulds of my teeth in the morning, then a couple of hours later I was given my retainer to take home.
OK what I mean is this my teeth are pushed in on my right upper side. Basically from resting my head on my hand. So I am wondering if invisalign can pull them out. I think I might go for a consultation. But I'm 42 and Im think I may have left it too late.
DaveDangerous74 I understood the question, bud, I'm just not trained in orthodontistry so I couldn't venture an answer. However, looking at how my arc was widened, I expect there's a good chance Invisalign can help. But it really is something a trained orthodontist can tell you, not me. It would be wrong of me to pretend to know.
