I’m currently trying to do this on myself and its been SO. STRESSFUL. One twist literally takes me THIRTY MINUTES! My issue is trying to keep the flat twist TWISTED while I feed in the hair. Started on Monday and thought I would be done by Wednesday, but I’m barely half way 🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠 this hairstyle takes lotssss of patience. And I honestly don’t think I can do these on myself again.
@@TishMechelle girl YES! It’s so much better to just pay someone to do it! However, I thinkkkk I kinda got the hand of it. But I’m never doing this again on myself 😪
Have y’all seen BeautyWithTy method?? She adds the hair on the scalp from the start of the flat twist. Maybe that’ll help? I’ve been trying to find more folks who might try her method. That’s why I clicked on this video cause I’m not trying to be stressed. I already don’t do my hair as it is since I’ve been in my grad program 😭😭😭😭😭😅 I’m trying to get my life together.
The twist should go in the opposite direction of the flat twist. The counter tension is what holds the twist together. Like a Senegalese twist Once you learn this, it will be so much easier. You won't have to work so hard. It almost twists itself. All the best❤
Did you listen? She tried that way but it’s didn’t work for her… she also said once she got the other side it got easy for her … so I’m not sure where the advice come in lol
@@robynthomas3977 There is more than one way to skin a cat…it's all about finding your comfort zone of the twisting direction...depending on the direction in which you start the 2 initial twist would determine the direction of the final twist...comparing this to the Senegalese twist technique is actually great advice because of it's similarities...and if someone was struggling with their 2 strand twist maybe they'd find it easier to follow the Senegalese technique to get the same results...just a different alternative...no sense of knocking it tho
I like the method where they make two little plaits and crochet the weave through. It seems easier to twist down versus feeding it in. Thanks for sharing this video.
Very Cute! Been looking for a new style to do on myself! Trying this week 💗💗🥰🥰 Update: I did it and love it! So cute 😍 Was a little challenging in the back but had to keep pushing through lol. For anyone wanting to try, I recommend doing all your parts and twists throughout your whole head first then adding the hair; saves a lot of time!
Finally more videos of the semi big size. Like medium/large. Plussss you twisted the way I twist. Not too many videos where ppl twist to the right for some reason? 🙃
You convinced me to buy this gel man. Had a whole jar my ex bought and ian keep it 😩 30$ but its worth it. Takin my mini twists out rn to try this look
I always say "Im just goin for presentation not perfection" lol as long as it look presentable in the front idgaf what the back look like🤣🤣 its gonna be covered anyway 🤷🏾😭😭😭
Are your tattoos rih inspired? We share a couple of pieces lol. They’re all dope! You’re such a renaissance woman. A real inspiration bc I can’t do my own hair worth 32:25 a damn 😭. I needed a pickmeup and you came up on my newsfeed (ig). Now ima tryna this style on myself :). Thank you for being YOU 💕🫶🏾.
Not long I have them now, day 5 and you can’t see some of my parts in between. I think it depends on the hold with the product being used and how fast your hair grows and maybe how tight you flat twist. My stylist who did mines even told me they will only last barley a month 😢 they are cute and worth it but do them yourself or you will just waste your money letting someone else do it if you want something lasting.
heyy what gel did you use for this hairstyle? or what gel do you recommend to mold it because hair type can never stay put idk if i just dont do my hair tight enough lol
