I used to watch this over and over again when I was still a teenager hoping to meet the love of my life to start my own family. Years later here I am, in an healthy 3years relationship with my boyfriend and I couldn't thank you enough for the hopes you gave me when I thought all of this was impossible.

This commercial is beautiful. Gays can be great parents, because any two people who unconditionally love and provide for their child and each other are great parents.

Who said the baby was forcefully taken away? Adoptions are never like that, they're for people who do want children as an alternative. Understand that much.

10 years later - this still bring tears to my eyes. Though we have come so far, especially here in the U.S., the battle isn't over folks. Yet, through continued strength and love we will endure till the end of time - we have always been here... Love and respect to those who still struggle, are shunned, are abused - be strong - it will get better!!!!!

Just saw this on Tumblr. I seriously didn't expect this ending.. I got goosebumps and I love it! Most of the world doesn't recognize this family, and THAT is a shame. Love is love. Love has no boundaries and comes in all forms! People should be able to process this in their minds and accept this once and for all! No matter the "religion"

This is absolutely stunning and touching. You know, this beautiful message really applies to all kinds of family. I have straight parents and they made huge sacrifices for me when I was a child, they still do, even if I'm a "grown-up" now. I didn't know how lucky I was when I was a child or even a teenager. Now that I do, I feel so very blessed. I think every child deserves to be loved this way and I don't see how the gender of your parents could change the love you feel for them.

i came here through 'upworthy' and i usually share these beautiful moments with my 'friends' on my FB. but lately i realized some of them feel embarrassed for this. this is just too sweet/cute and more meaningful than someone's embarrassment for something like this. so i spared them the embarrassment by letting them go - 'unfriend' them all. and i am so glad, happy to share this on my wall.

Thank you for making this! I found it through Tumblr and have shared it and signed the petition. I can't believe it's 2013 and this is still the world we live in, as a young gay woman who WILL have a family some day this message is very important and I hope people just open their hearts and minds to the fact that we're all equals and gender/orientation changes nothing about someone's ability to be a good parent or their HUMAN RIGHT to have a family and live their lives. I really hope that families like these will be equally accepted within the next 50 years (the sooner the better). I'd be so glad if I can live in an era where homophobia has been finally defeated. Many people, including those who were treated badly or killed for their sexual preference, wait for this time to come. And I am happy we have made such wondeful progress the last years seeing all the support here as a proof- but it's still a long way to go.

I am not gay, but this is fantastic. Hopefully it will make people realize that it is not whether the parents are traditional, but who they are as people and that it is who they are as people that helps determine who the child grows up to be.

Who knows. There are many reasons she could be absent. She either gave her up for adoption due to many reasons (teen pregnancy, wasn't ready etc.) or passed away. While that matters on other levels, it doesn't matter as far as a family is concerned.. She has two loving, caring and fantastic fathers who are her family and they will nurture, protect and care for her the rest of her life and she is lucky to have two parents who love each other. That is what matters.
