Every parents want to see their children grow up in front of their own eyes. They do everything in their capacity to make sure that it happens.
But, in this village, there are few things which were beyond what they could do to save their children when they got into an accident. They had no choice but to let them go...They were silent witnesses of their dying children. Since then, they kept their pains and sufferings to themselves for several years. But Not Any More!
When members of the community meeting decided to work together to build Jhumlawang as a "Role Model Village" in December 2008, these individuals broke their silence by coming forward to donate their plots of land to build a Community Health Centre in memory of their children so that other parents do not have to go through pains that they have been for too long. These individuals are truly the 'Role Models' of our community. Its their stories...
