I've just been purchasing pulls for our new kitchen and our kitchen designer told me that pulls for the appliances need to be specifically built for that purpose because of the amount of force it takes to open a fridge etc. Make sure that the pulls you are looking for are built for appliances!

The neighbour in the window at 8:07 is like "What's going on?!" 😂 expect some renovating, sir, but it's gonna be gorgeous

When ordering the hardware for the fridge, it should be ‘heftier’ than the cupboard hardware (not just longer). Usually there is a fridge option if you’re ordering from a specific product line. You need it beefier for the weight of the fridge doors & how often they are used. I know you’ll find something beautiful 😊 You & Drew are awesome together…bouncing ideas around. Love it!

Tell him to run an ozone generator in his new home, they are AMAZING!

Hey MaCenna! I live in California, but while I was on a road trip to Texas (born in Arlington), I was going to Louisiana, there was a antique store just like the one you visited in Los Angeles. It was amazingly crazy fun - They had so many knobs, back plates, a whole lot of vintage beauties. Omg! It was amazing. I was raised in a very very old home, so I love and appreciate anything and everything thats vintage. It was so great seeing you and Drew together on your Vlog. I haven’t commented on your Vlog ever, but watching you work diligently on your cottage has been an amazing journey. I hope you find the perfect knobs, handles, and latches for your kitchen. Thus far your cottage, (your home) will be that beautiful perfect masterpiece.

OMG, two videos with Drew and MaCenna. We are a very lucky DIY community! I love, love the character of Drew's home. I hope you two can collaborate on some kind of home projects at each other's home. This may be a very strange tip or comment regarding handles. I have learned that spiders absolutely love hiding out in the cup pull style of handles. So it is a handle type that I have changed my mind on rather quickly......especially if you are not a lover of spiders. I absolutely love your long handle choices. The rosette style handle is beautiful as well. So many choices; I often don't envy you with the decisions you have to make but I love watching the process and outcome. As per always, thanks for sharing. ps.....Drew's new home has the colour scheme of MrKate's tropical rainbow colour choices per room situation. So I guess he is on par with MrKate, only in Cali, not Hawaii. Mind you they said it was temporary until the real renovations begin.

Cast iron can be brought to a powder coater that can put colored enamel on the cast iron. Over time, the original finish may have cracked off. So if you really like the cast iron hardware that’s an option.

They’re made to withstand the load and your fridge doors are SOLID, those pulls will be getting a workout. Can’t wait to see what hardware you pick!

I love the pulls for the fridge. The ornate pulls from the Antique store are GORGEOUS, but I think the simple ones you showed later in the video are a better choice. I could spend hours in that store.

Oh MaCenna, when you said you have trees in your courtyard, I went 'Where? All I see are a few columns.' Then you panned up and the columns became palms.🤣 Being from Puget Sound, I would still need more 'real' trees. LOL (I hadn't seen his apartment before...and I love it. Wouldn't want to move myself. But can't wait to see what becomes of this new space.) Take care....🙂

I did a clean out, from a house, and the payment consisted of money plus "taking whatever we wanted" from the house that was left. (I clean houses) and I got a box of drawer knobs that are just like the ceramic brass ones. I have used them in all kinds of DIY stuff. I even used the glass ones, on my dresser in my bedroom. Wish I could post a photo. =)
