I am a male, and to be fair, I have seen many cases where the wife takes charge because the husband fails to take his place as a leader in the home and voluntarily gives the leadership role to his wife. Even where the wife tries to get the husband to step-up, he just lets the wife make all the decisions, refusing the leadership role. This frustrates the wife and she starts to take charge more and more by the day.
Many men are outright economic idiots; extravagant shopping ruin families for many years to come, living on borrowed $$. As a parent you have a double mission: do right now because your children copy your behaviour in their lives. I am lucky: Holy Spirit taught me economy since I was 7 yrs old and I teach my daughter these ways. We are plusing up, every month, every year, God 's Math. When you have the right knowledge, you don't need to be lead or ask for advice; you simply make the right decision and go on with your day. I believe education is the big devider because it helps to make balanced choices in life.

And i was also wondering about a covert narcissistic husband who not only passively refuses to lead spiritually, but also “counter parents” wherever his wife tries to instill godliness in the kids by undermining the importance of obedience, honesty, etc - a professed Christian man. My mother was a narcissist and paranoid schizophrenic. She also practiced some witchcraft as well as my grandmother. She had periods she was truly aware of what was happening and was just mean. At 70 I still rale against all this evil influence. My brothers didn’t and still don’t acknowledge it. I have severe medical problems from abuse, both physical and mental. I tried to fight against it as a child and young teen. I now am more devout about my Christian faith than ever and am encouraging my husband to get deeper in love with the Lord.

Excellent sermon! Husbands should take the helm. Many men today live for themselves and that leaves women with more than they can carry. A wife is expected to take care of the home, meals, clothes, children, work, social relationships and - her husband's sexual needs. Men often simply hand over the complete "caring" part to their wives & behave like students on a campus. This makes wives take the helm, otherwise the ship sinks. Some wives really do become witches, smother their children & completely trash their husbands - I believe if the burden was divided fairly, no Jezabel could find a slot to enter a woman. Men should be the ones wearing pants & protect their families. It's easy saying: "Oh, look at that manipulative witch.", there are TWO people in a marriage - a woman is not a donkey that she should carry all the weight of the world. Husbands - face it, You're lifting anchors & letting Your wives drown...Mom's - start raising quality men, stop being Your son's servant way past his adult age. I always think of Abigail and her husband Nabel after he openly insulted David and she behind her husband’s back gathered supplies from their home and chased David down to apologise, thus saving everyone’s lives. God sees everything.
@@Gakeniawanjiru I want to encourage you and anyone else to read this story again in 1 Samuel 25. Actually, Abigail was quite wise and sensible, while Nabal was mean. His very name means "fool". She interceded for her husband by taking bread and other gifts to David to apologize on his behalf, saving his life. Crazy part is, he died anyway. The Lord struck him 10 days after suffering a stroke and becoming paralyzed. It's really a fascinating story. All this to say, I wouldn't be offended about being described as an Abigail.

Manipulation, triangulation, criticism, playing the victim, favouritism of a child over another, constantly blaming others, talking behind people's backs, keeping secrets and deceiving, turning every conversation back to marvellous mother .... the family walks on eggshells keeping the mother happy, warning, "Don't upset your mother!" "Granny won't like that!" She can alienate the children from the father, turning them against him because she must have them "love" her best. She calls it "love" but she wants worship, adoration and admiration. If she has an affair, it was her husband's fault because he wasn't enough. Her less favoured child is never enough but the favoured one is perfect and she lives through them vicariously. She acts harmless and innocent, even ignorant of having done harm, and everyone excuses her. "She's so thoughtless!" "She doesn't understand!" "She just doesn't think!" And they try to explain again what's not fair. But she's doing it in purpose. She is two-faced and can have a different story for different people. It's demonic ... witchcraft, as Derek Prince says.

For a long time I’ve noticed that in many homes the wife is the defacto leader of the family. Not necessarily because the husband doesn’t want to lead but because she just isn’t submissive and wants to be in control. And the church won’t deal with this. It won’t teach godly submission of wives and in fact will actually discourage it.
Weak men create this, men are not praying, men are running away, men are not leading, men are not being obedient to God , just like Adam, there is too much passive manhood and the family is suffering
Submission is not like a light switch. Many of us, men and women came from dysfunctional family backgrounds where the right order of things was not modeled. Hard to do something you haven't seen done. Submission requires a huge amount of trust not only in God but in your spouse. Not saying it can't happen but that it is a process, more difficult for some than others even wanting to do it.
I live neighbour to a pentecostal church. They have female praise singers and two female pastors and Head pastor (male). Feels like knives are cutting within my soul when I attend their meetings. So unclean. Can be dangerous to stay only because of some old friends. It has grown a desire within me to move from here, but it isn't so easy. I've only lived here for 9½ months.
Some women are gifted in praise ministry and singing so they should be able to sing just as well as a man. Some women are called to be pastors but the Bible says a woman cannot be head pastor without a Christian husband. But if a woman wants to be a praise leader or a minister she must have a saved husband and she must be saved. She cannot preach without being first tested to see if she truly believes in Jesus as God and to see if she is submissive. I don't mean she must do everything she is told to do. But a submissive wife will give a husband a home if he gives her a house. She will take care of the children if he does his part. And so on and so forth.
female pastors are fine as long as theyre not usurping authority over men. female shepherds disciple other women and children usually as sunday school teachers because of their maternal God given qualities. it is abuse of a woman to expect her to lead or shepherd men. it isnt safe for her, it is too much of a burden for her to bear.
Sounds more like male chauvinist reasons to me. Most likely and sometimes is, the cutting knife feeling is the Holy Spirit cleaning you out of false hood or evil spirits. I swear my mom has been doing stuff to me, my dad, my other 4 siblings and others my whole life. I had to completely block them off around Thanksgiving. Some things are just for the best. I pray every day she doesn't hurt me or someone I love. She's always been a witch for Halloween and she's goes to church. I think it goes back to the old cult days where they held weird things in church basements and Masons. I'm glad I found this. It's sad to miss a family that was never really a family, I was blinded and so are they. Because love will always apologize and do the right things, not laugh and stare into your soul. i was discussing marriage from a christian viewpoint with a relative and her husband, both atheists. i shared that the husband is the head of the home, he has the final say. i asked the couple how they decided issues....she said we keep on discussing the problem until we agree (which MEANT THAT SHE HAD THE FINAL SAY, "happy wife happy life") she treated her husband like a work horse, and would veto any decision she did not like...she disrespected him and he felt emasculated. he eventually got tired of it and divorced her. nothing in their marriage involved God, religion, overt witchcraft.

I'm thinking that in many families the reason for lack of balance is drug problems. When one parent becomes addicted, the other parent needs to take on all the responsibility. For a family of 4 that means a big house, car(s), maintainence, shopping, laundry, school etc. I meet these women often, the "iron ladies": they manage everything for everybody on pennies, working miracles every day. Maybe due to patterns in her own family, maybe because she didn't understand what an addictive personality looks like, and now she's in it and can't find a way out. Before you start leading anybody, be sure you lead yourself first, to good decisions, economy, housing, education, a stable life, man or woman. When you are there, you will find your mate.
I recently had to get a divorce after 34 years of living in a chaotic marriage. Childhood trauma from loosing a parent and in my case a mother who's career was her priority so at the age of 2 I began working and going to preschool. Still working in my late sixties and am paralyzed in how to sell it all, move away and start over. His life of 70 years a complete waste and my 65 years of never feeling loved or cherished. 😢
I don't understand your pain, therefore I cannot properly empathize. But, God loves you more than any human ever can or will, and he wants what's best for you. You just have to give him the reigns of your life, and let him love you the way he desires too.
I pray you fight for him. You may not have felt loved but God calls us to become the partners we want. I have a feeling if he was there for 34 years he most definitely had love for you. Not the kind you may have wanted, but the kind he could give. I am in your shoes too only I’m 26 and it’s only been 6 years. I am going to fight the enemy on this one even if it hurts. It seems so unfair on a wife who is trying to hold a family together where the man is a delinquent husband and father. I'm not totally disagreeing with Derek but it always seems to be the womans fault. Just don't get married as St Paul said. Because it's exhausting and painful living with a weak man. I hear you! It's not 100%. I have family members where the husband was the ruin. My aunt let him lead, and he led them into occult. My female cousin was abused and has turned away from God because of the mess my uncle led them into. Another child from that church did go into witchcraft because that's where her needs were met. She was heard, she could protect herself, etc. The problem is both men and women. Both men and women need to take responsibility for their hearts with Christ and in their marriage. My husband and I make decisions with and without each other. We both contribute to our relationship. It's not 50/50. It's 100/100.

Yes, I understand that, except the Bible doesn't say the Spirit inhabits our spirit. It says The Holy Spirit testifies to our spirit. His Spirit inhabits our bodies, which is why we are called temples. Light and dark cannot rest in the same place. Nowhere did ever read anywhere in scripture where a redeemed person was demon possessed.

The thing is, is the woman sometimes decides to be the leader of the home because the husband isn’t stepping up and taking on that role… In other cases as well the husband can’t lead the home if he walking in darkness.
Many people here and I've heard this for years, that the reason sometimes women take charge is because the guy doesn't step up. Listen to what some of you are saying. You're justifying why you act the way you do and blaming him. If he's not stepping up maybe you should find books or sermons on the topic and try to help. Watch the messages, take a class, or meet with the spiritual counselor or pastor together. Not giving him the real opportunity, then sabotaging his leadership, and following it up by taking over is exactly what he's talking about here. I disagree in part. Yes women dominate some marriages, but I believe it's not just the woman's fault. It's a combination of the man being passive too. She's merely taking over the position he vacated because someone has to do it and if it's not the man it'll be the woman. It's both their faults. I once visited a church I was considering joining but quit going because the pastor's wife was so domineering. She even complained to him once on their videos about him being too quiet. It looked like she had taken over his role. But it was because he let her.
I agree with you in part. My father was clearly the head of the house and so before I got married I believed I would be too. But after I got married I was not prepared for how difficult a woman could make things if she doesn’t get her way. This is what a lot of Christian men deal with. If a wife doesn’t have a submissive attitude it’s just going to be fights. (Although I’m not saying she can’t have a say.) This leaves the man not knowing how to proceed and is what leads to passivity. And there’ll be no backing from the church. The church really isn’t teaching godly submission of wives. In fact it seems to discourage it.

I'm confused. I'm a stay at home mom of 2 teenagers. I try to get my husband to lead, but most of the time he won't. I remind him every now and then that he is supposed to lead and he tries here and there. He doesn't want to go to church and we don't go to church, but I read my Bible daily. I try to serve and encourage and counsel my family, I don't bark orders or try to guilt trip anyone because I know how that feels. My Son plays Roblox, which I don't really like. I tell Him I don't agree with it and he's not spending anymore money on it. I guess my confusion is, what am I? Am I a witch? Because sometimes I think I'm not living up to what I should be doing
Girl, it's hard but you gotta get in your prayer closet and ask God to move in your husband while also asking God to help you be the daughter of God, wife and mom you're supposed to be. It's about learning to trust that God, in his perfect timing will bring your husband into the fold, but something to think about is would you be ready/be the wife your husband needs once he takes up his position as leader? When you pray, pray for both of y'all. And if there is any resentment, anger, accusations in your heart against your husband and children repent, let go, forgive and hand it over to the Lord. I've learned that trying to get them or remind them to do something doesn't work, so I just keep things to myself (about God) until he asks me. He has got to want to want God for himself. Also it's his journey and walk, and once you "back off" sorry if that sounds rude but idk how else to describe it, and let God work you'll see changes. Based on what I've been learning, just focus on your own walk and journey with God and pray for your family. And try to avoid any accusatory thoughts and negative thoughts towards your husband... Like "well I read I do x,y,z I'm a good Christian, I'm doing my part etc bc girl that will bite you in the butt hahaha. It's really hard, but try to be patient with your husband and children. Keep trusting in God, fast, pray whatever God leads you to do do that.
Also, trying to be in control of things and dominate ppl is a form of witchcraft. (I've been guilty of it) You just gotta realize your husband is his own man, and has free will. Obviously it would be great if he would lead, but that's up to him, between him and God, and something he has to choose for himself. Have faith!! God can do amazing things!!
@@sergeibodrov8801 I teach my children what's right and wrong. How to face hard circumstances and what God desires and how to treat people, even when it's hard. They ask me questions all the time. Some of them I don't quite know how to answer correctly. But my husband has been through really hard times. He's been in prison for non violent, non drug offenses from the betrayal of his family. His dad just passed away and he asks me questions and has been changing. I pray for him all the time. But it's hard to listen to some of the fowl language that comes out of his mouth when he's mad or says he hates people. I don't beat my family over the head with the Bible or Lord it over them like I'm a Saint. In fact the more I've grown, the more I realize I am just as capable of doing the same things as the next person. Just like CS Lewis said "You never know how bad you are until you've tried to be good". I just have a hard time realizing that His Grace is sufficient.

That's not what I have strived to be. My desire is to be obedient, humble and to do his will. To know what that looks like exactly. I had a child out of wedlock by a very satanic man. I myself was a sinful Christian. What a hell on earth my life and my sons life have been. Even today, tho my son is 37 yrs old, I feel severely and demonically harassed in every possible way. For example, this demon of a man's mother was married 5 times! I find it sad, that this topic is discussed, when proper due diligence of a situation was not done to establish the cause of exactly this topic. When a woman needs to back down so much, and not allowed to speak any Biblical with her husband, as refuses to accept anything, while all that was required was the husband to turn back to God and start reading the Bible again. Proper due diligence of a situation becomes crucial when addressing such matters and in most cases it is not always the wife or woman first.
The Holy Spirit is fighting to remove the demon so it's possible. God is fighting for us and it can take time for demons to be removed while we're battling.

I saw this dynamic play out in my own family and because of that+being indoctrinated with the lie of feminism, I created a similar dynamic in my own marriage (which was very destructive) until I was ready to admit it and do something about it. Christians are indwelt by the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:9-11; 1 Corinthians 3:16; 6:19). Surely the Holy Spirit would not allow a demon to possess the same person He is indwelling. It is unthinkable that God would allow one of His children, whom He purchased with the blood of Christ (1 Peter 1:18-19) and made into a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17), to be possessed and controlled by a demon. Yes, as believers, we wage war with Satan and his demons, but not from within ourselves. The apostle John declares, “You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the One who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world” (1 John 4:4). Who is the One in us? The Holy Spirit. Who is the one in the world? Satan and his demons. Therefore, the believer has overcome the world of demons, and the case for demon possession of a believer cannot be made scripturally.
