Can I just address all the comments about this song being about a mixed race relationship because it's not. Michael wrote it after he saw black and white children playing on a playground on tour in 1983.

I was 12 when I first heard this song on vacation in 1984, south from Buenos Aires; I went to the arcades and this song was blasting through the speakers. I became a fan since then. Thank god they came to Argentina three times, in 1985 I was too young to go, but in 1991 and 1993 I was there, two full football stadiums, everyone dancing to their music, jumping all the time, and I remember Michael saying with that great accent:" you are f*cking GREAAT!"

There’s a reason this is still so popular all these years later, because it’s a fucking CLASSIC!!!!

Michael Hutchence was a beautiful man on the outside- he is undoubtedly one of the most handsome and charismatic men on the earth in his time and now. I haven't read a bad thing about him other than his personal affairs with women, but the women he was involved with have only kind words for him . To be humble and kind with his outside features and his talent is unprecedented for most people. It is heartbreaking on a grand scale that his life was cut short, whether he died by accident or suicide. My heart hurts for his family, lovers, and band mates. There is no replacing Michael Hutchence- one of a kind.

I miss Michael. Rest in peace.

I recall first time I heard this song, we were in Wildwood, NJ, US, down the shore and a friend of mine put that song. Loved it right away and heard it after many times in the clubs and other places, listen to it and still love it so much. Great song and great memories.

Esta canción es magnífica, la increíble voz de Michael Hutchence, el ritmo de los sintetizadores, guitarra, saxofón, batería y bajo es increíble. Sobre todo el coro, una mezcla de ritmo y voces (no olvidemos que Daryl Hall canta ahí) que se queda en tu mente y te hace querer oírlo una y otra vez. Y que decir del video, es alucinante. Te da esa sensación ruda y noctura; las luces de las motos y de los camiones japoneses. La ciudad del fondo que aparece en el 0:44, los colores de los globos y artesanías, los peinados y vestuarios. ¡¡¡UNA OBRA MAESTRA!!! No por nada es mi canción favorita.
