It is not an offcial video. It is one of the many INXS performances on TV, and yes, some of them are odd, but it is part of INXS history, and fun to watch!
I was there, in the Marquee, when this was done. This was 1985, before LLT came out, and I think at that point it was still the 'working title' for the song. After shooting this video, they all gathered together for the camera and said "Hi, we're INXS, and you're watching COUNTDOWN".
Was the stage walker part of the crew?? a random from the crowd? He looked like he was near psychotic! Actually a very poor performance from the 'Countdown' crew. weird lighting, under whelming direction. Like a rehearsal take.
@@MichaelAxe This was a single camera shoot just for some additional footage to accompany the Countdown segment. It was shot during soundcheck so no audience was present, and therefore yes, crew member on stage 😊
Fantastic video....I´ve always loved INXS and their quite unique music aswell as their gorgeous singer Michael Hutchence, his dazzling charisma, magnetic attraction and his powerful and emotional voice, but here it seems so much more close and personal. How truly deeply I miss him and always will....

One of my favorite songs of theirs. LLT was so good from start to finish. Never skipped a song. I remember listening to this on my Walkman on the way to school. Still have the cassette.
That video was release in a short compilation of INXS at Countdown with anoter odd videos, I remember I uploaded this video on August, 2011, with the soundtrack changed by the original from the CD.

This song and "Don't Change" are my fave INXS songs! I still remember hearing that Michael Hutchence was gone when I was in high school and It was a big deal for me!

Saw them in concert twice. The first time at the Bronco Bowl in Dallas Texas, The Alarm opened up for them. The second time was at Reunion area in Dallas, Public Image limited was the opening act.
They sure where a fantastic band in those years .. looking back when they made it big .. wow count down surely brings back years when it was on .. molly was good ( the host of count down )

What's with the hiccups in the beat/rhythm throughout the entire song? It happens like a dozen times, where the tempo just slightly drops or pauses for a split second. It's not supposed to be that way, is it?

It was a one off gig in 1985 - the place was full of big name musicians all coming to see them. Pretenders drummer was standing next to me talking about how much he loved them. They came back the next year for the LLT tour.

What an odd video. It's labelled with the wrong song title. There's some guy aimlessly walking around stage. This isn't an official music video, is it? I've never seen it before.
