Very meta and the use of the quote in tandem with the music piece is very well done.

when a song can pump you up and also allow you sleep. This is a masterpiece that more people need to know about.

If anyone is wondering who is speaking in this, it's British writer and Buddhist philosopher, Alan Watts. A lot of his speeches and lectures are really quite good and prophetic.

The moment that occurs at 1:13 in this recording, without doubt and as a classical musician I have the most awe inspired respect, truely shows the artist's genius and brilliance in form. It's the most intense and refined example of a perfectly rendered "Agogic" accent. I would not hesitate to use those few seconds as an example of how a musician should render that kind of phrase. This one rocks and hurts. It's loaded with wisdom. It was my best friend's favorite song when he locked himself in his room with his depression and loud music. I just kept praying he'd absorb the *meaning* of the song and break out of his mental cage. Well, he jumped off a balcony with a rope around his neck. And broke out. The fall snapped the rope and blew up his leg, but it also shattered the trap like a glass bottle. On the way to the hospital he was crying and apologizing and totally open after a year of being closed. Now he's walking and happy and *free* and **a l i v e** and I can't hear this track without weeping and thanking God for giving him back. Good stuff happens sometimes. Sometimes you gotta wait. Just, d o n ' t o v e r t h i n k i t and try to be happy in the moment.
