Hey Paul, I've been watching your videos for a while, really nice stuff :-) I have a question not related to this particular video but I looked for a video about tabs and didn't find one. I had to hack Ionic 3 lately in order to implement dynamically set tabs, it seems that it's not possible to do it normally. What I mean is let's say that we have Tab1, Tab2, Tab3 where Tab2 and Tab3 point always to their respective classes but Tab1 depends on the role of some particular user so we would have a condition and check if the use is admin, for example, if so than Tab1 should point to the class A, but if the user is not admin then this tab should point to the class B. Do you have a way to do it without hacking the private properties of the ionic Tabs / Tab classes?

How do you correctly format your components.module.ts so that you can use custom components with IonicPage? I get cannot bind to ____ because it is not a propertty of ___custom_compoenent_

Paul im having a bid of problem, im generating magnetic links but when it opens on my default browser it begins with unsafe, technically it doesnt open but when i manually remove unsafe the browser downloads the link and opens it with my default torrent app, how can avoid my browser adding unsafe to my links

Hey how can I manage the navigation of external links and router seperately. The external link are coming from backend whenever I click on the external link the router link get active. I put click method instead of router link but the problem is if I click on the external link the link get open but when I navigate back through the browser the router navigate page is opening how can I solve it

after click one on post page at post-detail.ts page, we get post from getPostsById function on dataprovider. but I thought I should do like this. this.post=this.data.getPostById(this.postId); but you missed this.post. without this.post, nothing is shown but - which I hardcoded getPostById's return type is obserevable. then, how it is linked to post-detail.html's post? we didn't use post in post-detail.ts file. only declared it

In post-details.ts. You need to change the variable "post" declaration to "post: Observable". Also in the "ionViewDidLoad" function you need to assign the result of the "getPostById" call to the "post" variable: this.post = this.data.getPostById(this.postId);

Hi Paul. I have a question about deep link. As I know deep link is a link like 'myapp://somepage' -> Opening an ionic page from external place. However, according to your video, it seems like opening dynamic ionic page from inside of ionic. My requirement is that first, show an external page, once user clicks a button, this server redirect to the my ionic app. In this case, I need a link such as 'myapp://somepage'. Is there built-in function in ionic 3 or should I use a cordova plugin such as Custom-URL-scheme ? Many thanks.

Nice video. After using deeplinks i started getting this in the navigation bar localhost : 8100 / # / nav / n4 /menu / nav / n5 / home . how to remove it
