Spot on the only difference though between Gran Turismo 1 and whatever the hell that is Gran Turismo at least brings a sense of nostalgia and joy this little electrified piece of shit doesn't do that for me
Eh, the model 3 performance is like $10,000 cheaper for better performance, and it qualifies for the EV subsidy so that's another $7,500. Sound is cool, but it's not 17k cool
I love EVs but as someone who does a lot of walking around my city that has terrible sidewalk coverage....EVs are way too quiet and sneak up on me far too often. So 100% agree.
@TheMinman808 ICE cars are actually really loud, but we have learned to live with it, compared to an ICE, EV might as well be silent and that's why EVs have fake sounds to warn people of its coming, not all of them have fake engine sound like ioniq 5n but all of them have this UFO sound
You’re actually a bit late because EV and hybrid alerting sounds have been mandatory for well over 5 years in the United States. This Ioniq 5 N comes standard with the VESS (vehicle engine sound system) that is active when N mode is off. When N mode is on, the speakers are switched to emit the more sporty engine like sound.
Electric car sounds are the coolest ever😂. Made it a little more fun. Ppl in the comments here find faults where there aren't any. It's just for some fun, and this is a car none of you wa**as are ever gonna buy.
**Start engine in Ignition at night** *Your neighbour:* "Can you please turn down the volume." **Change to Supersonic mode** *Your neighbour:* Okay....
I mean this feature seems like it was made to troll or annoy. EV guys see it as pretentious and silly, while ICE guys see it as pretentious and silly. Guess we found common ground after all.
I find it a way to help the transition into EVs less dull and boring, although it is a bit silly and definitely won't fool anyone into thinking you're in an ICE car
I have read people that are against EV because they're too silent. The argument is that if an EV is overtaking you and they don't hear an engine in high revs, they could smash against the EV if they're changing lanes. Or that you could hit pedestrians because they're not used to the silent EVs. In fact, my EV has sounds at low speeds to warn pedestrians, I think every EV has speakers at low speed.
As a car guy who owns both 2022 Tesla and 2023 Porsche, Ioniq 5N definitely has my attention. It has great reviews from other car guys. We don't think it's troll/pretentious. We think it's the future for car guys who get married and are forced to change into a more family-friendly car but still want to have fun once in a while. I think of it as the fun version of Tesla.
Gran Turismo 4 has entered the chat !!!! Lol these noises sound like cars from Granturismo 4 😂 The first one is like the car revving out before the race start 😂
I feared this with the advent of EVs. You'll have personally programmable external sounds similar to the variability of present ringtones. Everything from the Jetson's car through Luke Skywalker's Landspeeder to accelerating from the lights with the sound of flapping feet and the synthetic yell of Yabba-dabba-dooooo!
I'm a purist but I honestly really like the direction Hyundai's cars are going, in an age where motoring looks to be getting boring and bland with most new EVs, hyundai are shaking things up a bit and it's really working. I would probably personally run it without using the fake sounds, as personally I'll always be a purist for the sound of a wide open naturally aspirated engine, but even still, as much as EVs don't interest me as much, the sound of your foot hitting the floor and the motors spinning up like a hyperdrive is still a pretty sick sound
Despite cars not even accounting for 5% of the worlds CO2 output, we must all spaff £1000's per month to borrow, sorry, lease one... we *must* save the planet! and this is the only way, *you* did this.
The Hyundai Ioniq has near-zero maintenance costs compared to an internal combustion engine, it's built like one, it doesn't pollute the air, it's quiet, it's family-friendly, it only takes 18 minutes every 400 kilometres to run indefinitely, and it's a sports car.
67K for a Hyundai with hard plastics and jet black interior. Performance is impressive but if you ppl continue to buy this shit and don’t vote with your dollars manufacturers will continue to price gouge , 2024 Tacoma Trd is now $65k …. $1000 plus car payment on a depreciating asset is 💸💩🚽
@JohnLee-db9zt mate, I daily a 700hp twin turbo xc90 v8. I've literally got, the ONLY twin turbo, volvo v8 ever produced. And you think I don't own a car? Or even drive one? Fucking idiot. I am into cars, and THIS, is not a car.
These sounds MUST! Be kept inside the vehicle.. We cannot have billions cars flying round msking noise like porsce mission r... My snxiety fron car noises with get badly worse.. I hope this can be taken into account
I know this isn't gonna be like a real ICE but I applaud Hyundai for making it arguably more fun to drive. Yeah it does feel very video gamey, but hey games are fun.
I really hate EVs that pretend to have an ICE engine. I heard enough of the real ones running from all vehicles belongs to freaks during the nights, and now that comes with EVs as well 🤦♂️
EV's aren't boring. But the people that have them usually are hypocrites, they thing their car is beter and green and bla bla bla when in reality this is the complete opposite.
