V2L adapter comes included for Aussies. It's probably factored into the price anyway for us. Also if you disable active sound design, it still makes a whirring sound when you drive, sadly. About closing the charging port via voice: there's also a button you can just push on the inside (that I haven't used before, since I just close it from the outside).
Great look at a very incredible vehicle Ed. Along with the Ioniq5 which is winning all these car awards, this Ioniq6 is crazy cool with all the pixels, the tech’ and the very clean good looking exterior & very nice interior with all the bells & whistles befitting it’s top trim spec!…And I’ve watched other vids on how it drives, it’s smoothness and just terrific driving dynamics, maybe a bit better than Ioniq5 because of its incredible 0.21 drag coefficient and it sits lower than Ioniq5, which Hyundai says is an SUV ok. But I really like everything about this vehicle other than the curious features that you pointed out that don’t work with the voice recognition but like in my Tucson you touch the button to close the hatch in my case or the trunk in this car. Btw all I have to do in my Tucson is push the button once and remove my finger & the hatch closes by itself!…Just thought I’d mention that but the tech’ in the car like the Highway Driving Assist, Lane Change Assist are very nice features I don’t have other than the Adaptive Cruise Control! Thanks for this great look at another New Hyundai model in this case a full EV that will sell very well Ed IMO! 🙂
Thanks so much for the comment! I'm currently uploading a new video on this vehicle. I did a full drive review and the video will be public at 8 am EST, April 27th. Be sure to check it out!
Really hoping these don't see the same crazy waitlists that the Ioniq 5 has in Canada! I put a deposit down for one back in early March, I'd love to have it before 2025 lol
I collected my Ioniq 6 today in Australia. I love the key fob, it’s a brilliant design. Good video many thanks. AWD 20 inch wheels with cameras and HUD. Range at 100km/ hr with aircon on : 462.5km 287.38 miles on flattish road. ( better than expected ). Car exceeds my expectations.
Thanks for the comment! Initially I liked the design of the keyfob too.. but the more I held it, used it and compared it with my old keyfob... The more I disliked it. Mainly, I find it too big, and having to also carry the blade key outside of it doesn't help. I'm going to try to 3d print a new housing for it
Would be cool if the blade was inside the fob like in other fobs. But at least it's light. I've also managed to scuff mine up a bit too with other keys etc.
Do you know if the Pallisade has had many updates? I believe that has Bluelink OTAs. I haven't seen anything yet in Australia and I've had my 6 for a month.
Ed, great details and good bad features. I like the design overall but its a long car, longer that the 5 and the model 3. I dont care for any of the wheel designs but it for aerodynamics…
I’ve now seen multiple vids saying no HUD in the US and other posts from people saying there is……would love the definitive answer. Anyone in the US own one?
@@edsgarage001 LOL. Agreed. To each their own. I hate “Porsche” style….this reminds me of that. I will say that I sincerely hope that all those features will be in the new Ioniq 5 evs….they FINALLY are getting a rear wiper so I am seriously considering that.
