Instructional video for iOptron latest CubePro with a 8408 hand controller. It also displayed how to use a secondary dovetail saddle package and how to convert a CubePro to an EQ mount with an AZ base.
Thanks for the video! Very clearly put together. Do I need to use the counterweight if I hook up a camera = Sony A7RII + 400mm lens (total weight, 2.4kg length 34cm). Alt-Azi vs EQ mode.
Can the mount be used with ZWO ASIAir Pro for Auto Guiding with ZWO MINI Guide Scope attached at one end and a DSLR with Zoom Lens attached to other end ?
Hi Ramesh. I do not know if you have found the answer to your question, so I will offer my opinion. Yes, if you set this up in the equatorial mode, you should be able to take long exposures with your camera. I am not sure how easy it would be to get an accurate polar alignment, or if the mount can accept instructions from a guide camera. Realistically, you may be better off getting one of the dedicated camera trackers that are available (including a very good one from iOptron), because (a) there are compatible polar scopes that are included or can be purchased separately, and (b) some of them have the ability to respond to instructions from a guider. These camera trackers can be used with a small telescope too. A really good resource on RU-vid are the videos on the "AstroBackYard" channel. He has a lot of helpful info, informal reviews of equipment, and beautiful images for people who are looking to do wide field astrophotography with a camera & camera lens. Good luck with your future purchases & your astrophotography!
@@smedleybutler2935 no word from them. They replied saying they can’t return anything after certain days. But once I asked about the missing parts they did not respond.
