iOS 17.2.1 has been released with fixes for iPhone. iOS 17.2.1 doesn't bring any new features to iPhone but some really important fixes.
What is really interesting is that this update contains a battery fix for iPhone which isn't included on the update description but it shows in the update description for a few different languages.

Fun fact, I changed the default language to Chinese and then I checked for update and the update says “This update includes important bug fixes and addresses an issue where the battery may drain quickly under certain conditions” . I believe the update pushed to Chinese and other countries are same.

iOS 17.2.1. The mail apps email swipe function settings doesn’t give you the option to delete. Before the update when I swipe my email to the left I can delete. Now some emails I can only archived not deleted. Now when I swipe I need to choose more and touch delete. Adds another step. How come Apple chooses what can be archived and deleted in my email? Does anyboy has the same problem?

I have a 14 pro and my battery life was exceptional and then I installed 17.2.1 and it suddenly runs out really fast. Anyway to fix this?

Finally an upgrade that fixes the battery drain issue! The battery life on my IPhone 14 has significantly improved since I upgraded to iOS 17.2.1. My battery life hasn’t been this good since like IOS 16.

⁠@@soul2soul399go to settings -> general -> reset iPhone -> choose reset all settings & let the iPhone restart. This worked for me 👍🏻

Same here. Today’s numbers for both of my devices: Today’s numbers: - iPhone 15 Pro: 0 h 49 min screen time = 87 percent, low power mode toggled on. (battery health: 100 percent. Charging cycles: 50) 👎 - iPhone 13: 6 h 16 min screen time = 46 percent battery left (battery health: 100 percent. Charging cycles: 15) 👍

So I updated my phone this morning, I took it straight off the charger at 100% went into my settings and started downloading iOS 17.2.1. I put my phone back on the charger while it was updating because I wasn’t sure how long it would take, to my surprise it was very quick but I was super confused because my battery was then at 95% and not even 5 minutes had passed and my phone was connected and charging on a MagSafe charger when I started updating. Just found that odd. Curious if that happened to anyone else?

I didn’t see any battery drain on17.2 in 15 pro max. Updated to 17.2.1 which apple dropped suddenly and weirdly. And oh man my 15 pro max insane battery life is broken. It’s just draining too quickly. If anyone has 15 pro series just stay on 17.2

17.2.1 fixed nothing as far as battery drain is concerned. I have had my phone plugged in all day and the battery drains as fast as it charges. Literally almost NO CHANGE in the battery level all day.

Tried the same some weeks ago, still on iOS 17.1. Took me 1,5 days to restore my settings after this maneuver - and battery kept on draining anyway.

After update battery drained very fast but i updated all my applications in app store.. After second charging from 0 to 100% now my iphone is 👌 okay.. Now battery not draining quickly.. now it is perfect
