I won't forget the 1996. Went to Gable's camp. Had a great time. Don't know if he let all the teams at his camp come to his house for a tour and cookout but we were one of three teams at his house. Still got the pictures. Bill Zadick and Joe Williams were there hanging out. The worst part of the whole experience was in the kitchen though. His wife made great cookies and I could't help myself from taking one and talking to his wife and daughter. Then I was talking to just his daughter. Clearly I was a dumb 14 year old at the time. After about five minutes of talking I got that sick feeling that one gets when you know something is wrong. I turned and Coach Gable was there boring out my soul with a stare only a few feet away. I went to the bus right after that and waited on my team to get done.

Was in PE class at Iowa. Guy walked in and told our teacher to leave the room. Our teacher said no. The guy said “I’m Dan Gable”. Our teacher replied, I don’t care who you are! Gable left! LOL! A bit arrogant for my taste!

Jason Waite wrestling for sure because of the natural base and confidence then BJJ with the Gi. I am a purple Belt in BJJ and I fight MMA, I am so thankful for having wrestled since I was a kid through high school and College. BJJ was the icing on the cake, the best transition for when wrestling ends. It was tough getting used to being on my back for the first two years, 7 years later I'm comfortable on my back and transition to submissions comfortably now . Bjj guys really can't stop a good wrestlers takedown let alone attempt to even takedown a wrestler. I've won many BJJ tournaments by racking up takedowns and passing guard and also by not giving takedowns. I'll only pull guard if I get taken down seriously and that rarely happens to me in BJJ tourneys.

Long Jawn bro are you fucking kidding me? So tell me, when do you pull guard if you train BJJ with the Gi?? Forget even MMA right now ? My name is Angel Laporte and my Instagram Username is Angel_laporte. Send me a request and I will be moreeeeee than likely to prove that I fight MMA and I train BJJ. Pictures don't lie bro. I have my first pro MMA fight this upcoming March 2 for Ring of Combat at the Tropicana at Atlantic City. I will accept your request and you can look from day 1 and eat your words. Don't call me a liar man if you don't know facts. By the way, what is your name? What MMA organizations have you faught under? What BJJ school do you represent in tournaments such as Ibjjf international tournaments? I gave you my true and honest information. Your turn.. and bro, if someone takes you down for any reason you either A) get back to your feet or B) pull guard and work for submission whether it be omoplate, triangle or even armbars. Anyway send me a request and look at my pictures for BJJ and MMA. Your turn my friend. Don't call me a bullshitter.

Long Jawn and also I represent Carnicella BJJ for Gi Jiu-Jitsu and I also fight under Carnicella MMA. Google it and please request me. I'll be waiting. And I would like to know your name and your stats and training school information. I gave you mine. And a serious MMA fighter will tell you 100% that if you do get taken down you pull guard. I'll bet anything that you don't train BJJ with a Gi. A serious BJJ player will highly disagree with your statement in calling me Bullshit. You have no idea what the fuck you are talking about dude.
@murkincl69

Long Jawn and dude how the fuck is it impossible to pull guard if you get taken down ??????? Man o man, the first thing you do is escape hips and pull guard bro. Dude do you know what escaping hips even means?????????????? It's the first thing you learn in BJJ/ Gi. Be real with me man , do you know how to escape hips?????? And if you do, what is the purpose of escaping hips man?????????????? It's the first thing a white belt learns before anything , before learning submissions. And I'm waiting for your request and BJJ/MMA information. I gave up mine. I'm waiting bro....

Long Jawn bro make RU-vid videos ?? I fucking told you my info to request me my dude to shut your lying ass up. You know nothing about the sport. Your just a fan that probably wears Tapout clothes 😭😂😭😂. #1 Bullshitter 🙌🏻. It's alright to be a hater and an uneducated fan. It's never too late to learn BJJ bro. You can come to Clifton, NJ and I'll teach you basics. I have a few Gi's and you can rock out. I gave you the address where I train bro. Up to you I'd love to help you learn how to escape hips and work how to pass guard.

NFL and NBA are hard because they are big on teams but wrestlers yea thats simple one person so its easier to stand out
@TheBreakingBoard
@TheBreakingBoard 8 лет назад
Not that easy, first you have to beat your competition, which isn't simple dude

Football players and Basketball players can get off on talent alone. Wrestlers might have talent but it wont last long against technique and work ethic.

'''NFL and NBA are hard'' muahahah..all NFL player puke after a wrestling workout...i wonder why that is...NFL is hard but NCAA wrestling is HELL
@murkincl69
@murkincl69 6 лет назад
Dude don't ever compare pussy basketball players that cry about two fingers on a wrist to wrestlers. Football players too. Football players used to cry going through our wrestling workouts. Wrestling will show if you put in the work or not. It's one on one. Other sports your team can pick up your slack if you are having a bad game. Wrestling you have to pick up your own slack. Dude said basketball and football.

funny how metcalf was lifting those weights not how ur supposed to lift weights its about slow controlled movements is how you lift weights.. that shit does nothing but, pull muscles out of joints. I lift weight religiously & i'm 52 yrs old i put these young guys to shame at my local Y the high school wrestlers try to peacock around me & have nothing on me, not knowing i'm 52yrs old..
@jamessoto5723
@jamessoto5723 3 года назад
this is way of training is more sport specific. trains the nervous system. similar to olympic lifting, emphasizing more on explosive immediate energy. Im sure these wrestlers would sling you around how they sling those weights. all that matters
