Iowa Local Food Purchasing Assistance Program (LFPA) 

Established in 2022, the Iowa Local Food Purchasing Assistance program is increasing access to local food through partnerships with local producers and underserved communities. The USDA Agricultural Marketing Service established the LFPA program, the LFPA program is part of the “Build Back Better” initiative, authorized by the American Rescue Plan. To date, close to three million dollars in food value has been dispersed across the state of Iowa.
