Official video of University of Iowa Athletics. Coach Lisa Bluder, Caitlin Clark, Monika Czinano and McKenna Warnock meet with the media following their victory over Maryland
According to ESPN Stats & Info, a Division I player has scored 40 or more points against a ranked opponent twice this season. Caitlin Clark recorded both of them, tonight against No. 8 Maryland and Dec. 1 against No. 12 NC State.
Outstanding game, ladies. Keep up the hard work. Start putting pressure on yourselves now, to treat every game like a tournament game...win or go home, refuse to lose. If you continue to work together, refusing to lose...then you're going to be eating a lot of confetti in March. Go Hawks!
Sorry Coach and Team, a major disrespect has happen over and over for Women's Sports!!!! I am not happy when ESPN has to tell the Lady Basketball Teams they have to wait then the Basketball Games starts without National TV coverage just because a so stupid game of dodge ball is more important than the Lady's Basketball Game!!!! ESPN and Other networks need to stop the garbage TV Coverage..... They should provide half an hour between games for over time and the Sports Desk shortens their time between the Games........... Fire some Executives who can not work out the schedule!!!! Thank You the fans!!!!
Amen! Thousands of people were waiting to watch these two rated teams compete and had to wait until a stupid irrelevant play-time fiasco was finished. As a result, half of the basketball first period was not shown. Network people responsible for this injustice should be terminated. What a message to send to those who value women's sports and true competition.
IMO, Caitlin is a player like Stewie. A part of her success is genetics. Of course, the remainder of the magic that she creates on the court is a result of complete dedication and an unrelenting work ethic. There are a lot of dedicated and hard working ladies playing college basketball right now, but there is only one Caitlin Clark. If she is not chosen Player of the Year, it will be a complete injustice. She is one special lady. Watch out WNBA. She is going to make a huge impact when she joins the W.
