cheers for the disassembly/reassembly video. for anyone attempting this, make sure your new screen has the sleep/wake sensor. for some reason the screen i removed had one, but the new replacement didn't, so i had to go without that function. there are videos showing how to desolder the old sensor onto the new one, but none of them are for the iPad mini 2, which may be for the best cause mine was a strip integrated into the connector. again, the new one didn't have solder points so i wouldn't have been able to attach it anyways, just look for that sensor coming from the screen connector, then solder points, and then going to the home button.
@Abde Zen He didn't replace the LCD (which wasn't dead), he replaced just the glass. You have the remove the LCD to replace the glass as the connections are underneath it.
Would have been nice to put at the end how long to leave the clamps on for 🤨 Also some verbal or written instructions during would have been nice. And you missed putting on one of the connectors at the end. I had to take it partially back apart (thankfully not all), jump back to disassembly portion of vid and put it on as it was missed.
if you would be a little smart you would just leave it on there for 1 hour lol imagine if he say to tell you that kind of things you have to be so dumb to take it of after 5 min lol
As others have mentioned. Don't follow the order in this guide. I followed it and didn't disconnect the battery first, like it should be, and it killed the LCD.
you dont have to disconnect the battery idk what youre saying but your comment is completely shit maybe you have the wrong ipad but with this ipad that isnt needed
Mytheroo I burned my backlight by forgetting this step. I believe it burns it when you reconnect the lcd while the battery is plugged in, that’s why you should plug the battery in last.
Dan Savit So i broke my screen and ordered a new one. I did everything to repair expect i forgot the battery connecter and now i can turn it on but cant touch anything is that to do with the battery connector?
