@@namkhanhng1802 Hi! It's not the same as the original program, it feels like a light version (as it is). I have to use my computer for more advanced work.
I am super duper happy with my iPad Pro purchase. I am so glad that I found your channel. Now my iPad Pro is the only portable computer. As a medical student annotating pdfs is like a dream come true. I prefer notability over good notes though. Anyways may Allah bless you Noah. You are one of the most unbiased reviewer I saw.
Just a tip for those students who may want to do this but cannot afford the price tag of this iPad. My set up is less than $500. You could definitely go cheaper with a 2018 iPad and cut out the extra stuff. iPad Pro 10.5 (2017) 64GB $320 used - facebook market Apple Pencil 1 $60 used - facebook market A paper like screen protector $20 - amazon iPad sleeve+pen holder $20 - amazon Magic Keyboard 2 $30 - eBay Amazon basics tablet stand $15 The iPad Pro 10.5 from 2017 can easily be found between 300-500 depending on spec and condition. There are even people selling a pen included for that price. Out of the choices of iPad 2018, iPad Air 3, iPad Mini 5 and iPad 2019 and iPad Pro 10.5, go with the iPad Pro 10.5. Promotion, laminated display, quad speakers, headphone jack and still has stellar performance to this very day. I recently just upgraded to one after rocking a 2018 iPad for a paperless semester test run. I also picked up an air 3 from apple to do a side by side with the iPad Pro 10.5 2017 and the display difference is tremendous. Ended up returning the Air 3. Note taking apps: OneNote - while not as aesthetically pleasing or note taking focused as notability or good notes it is cross platform and handles bigger files a lot better in my experience. Crucial for large PDFs that I get in my classes. Then I also do my math homework here by scanning in the sheets given out or importing them from the online portal, I split screen in calculator 2 for calculator needs. It’s a super cool hand written calculator. Apple Notes app - so the reason for this is a little convoluted. I note up a pdf in onenote then split screen apple notes in. I then create an outline for my analysis paper of the pdf in apple notes. Then I split screen two instances of apple notes, whip out the magic keyboard and start working on typing my analysis. Finally apple notes and either google docs or a browser depending on how the analysis is being submitted. One note > One Note/Apple Notes > Apple Notes / apple notes > Apple notes/google docs) Google Tasks - Fortunately this semester my profs all laid out a very detailed schedule so I have every single assignment and test already set up in google tasks. Google calendar - have my work schedule (for the year, I work in a k-6 elementary school. I have fire drills, lock downs, testing days, holiday breaks etc) and class information all laid out for this entire semester.
Also Noah, big respect for managing a successful and growing RU-vid channel while going to Uni. As someone who tried and failed, you’ve got my respect. It’s tough, keep it up! You’ve got loads of potential.
@@vrr8291 huh interesting mind expanding why? I personally have never had any issues with used iPhone, Mac books or iPads but obviously my test group is just myself.
@@anUNBOXING I have issues my self where buying an ipad and tured out there was and iCloud on it and it needed the email and password a d the guy didn't answer me . And another case where I got the mini 5 and it turns off alone every 10 mins even tho I checked it well before paying for It
All i do is watch your iPad videos for 2 reasons- 1. I loveeee the iPad Pro. 2. Your videos on all iPads are probably one of the best ipad videos on RU-vid
I prefer Notability during the lecture because the typing support is better and it also has a voice recording feature. I mostly right my notes on Notability because somehow my handwriting is better on it than Good Notes 5. As for the Good Notes 5 it is an amazing app too. I review my notes there( more customization better highlighter and eraser options) and I organize all of my class related pdfs there because of the better file management system. In Notability you can only open pdfs if it is saved on Google Drive or something which is a bit unconvenient.
That’s the first video of yours I’ve seen Thumbs up for the quality👍🏻 I’d like to know your opinion on whether to get the 11” or 12.9” iPad Pro for college (I have a pc as my main device)
Mohamed Abdourahman the 12.9 inch is kind of heavy if you carry it around for a while, but it’s still portable & yeah, I also found the 11 inch too small as well.
Do you use any screen protector and if not do you get scratches on the screen without protector ? Because I have recently purchased iPad pro and already had scratch on it and minor crack on the screen.😩😢
Are you able to save all the notes on icloud? Looking to get a 64 gb version and currently have the 200gb icloud plan so I dont think i would need a 256gb version
Henni290 I just bought one and I would say go for it, the back to school sale ends the 26th. Also the next gen ipadpro is going to be the same with a performance change
Catching up on all of your videos. I love anything iPad related. Great videos.great quality.maybe you coul share how u film/ edit and what camera /equipment, software you use
Please do a review of the app Time Planner. I’m not big on planning in a notes app (OneNote, Notability, Apples Notes, etc) and would like to get your thoughts on this app in particular.
I am considering to buy the iPad pro 11 for taking notes in class but I am kinda scared by al the bending videos on youtube. Do you have any problems with the iPad bending in your backpack or something??
I also have the Pro 11" + Goodnotes 5 combo, but somehow, it regularly freezes/lags (especially the Apple Pencil 2) that I have to reopen the document that I am currently reviewing for it to work again until it freezes again.
As always 👍 one suggestion though, instead of putting that yellow light on top right hand side of the setup, try keeping it in overhead position, unless you're trying to achieve some sort of color effect in the video.
did you consider using 12.9" for college? Isn't it better? For instance, in multi-tasking, where you could open an eBook and Goodnotes at the same time.
Ivan Gudak I got the 10.5 inch refurbished and so the 12.9 inch would be great for writing and drawing but is to big to be a tablet. But the new ones are fine.
You were rambling, however, it actually made sense! Great video. I write a journal on the 12.9 and sometimes think about the 11” and how that may have been better, then I remember that I’m now 50 and my eyes are shit. 😆👍🏻 New glasses required.......again...*yawn* I am not liking that. What the hell am I nrambling on about? lol
Richard Barnes You sound like my parents haha. Can’t see shit anymore 😂 I’m already blind (horrible prescription), can’t wait until it’s my time to hold my phone 5 feet or 2 inches from my face when it comes time to read lol.
Seeing the point of view of someone who writes left-handed is so weird. You can't see the writing as you write. I wanted to look round your hand...Holy Shit! Anyway great vid bro!!
you have to call your bank for a lost or stolen debit card? what is this the stone age? my bank's app lets me disable/re-enable a card at a whelm and request a new card if I can't find it. your bank doesn't have a banking app?
Then how is the writing experience without one? Next week I think I will get an iPad too and I really don’t know if I should put a screen protector on it or not😅
Bro.. your in depth analysis of your own perspective of your own notes isn't be helping others here on youtube. Be more generalised as you can on your tips and suggestions to us consumers on youtube. But still appreciate your channel 👍
@@NoahHerman dunno man. Maybe cause you're a Russian communist as we saw from your iPhone 4 video! 😂 Lol sorry . I just thought that cause u were studying critical thinking n the evidence doesn't point towards God. So yk...
@@aaribanwar1387 I don't know cousin Nikolai's religious beliefs and critical thinking is just an argumentation class I take for business, not to prove that God doesn't exist lmfao. I'm Catholic but found your comment hilarious no worries man.
