Totally agree with you! This is the best device I've ever bought and it's sad to see RU-vidrs misleading their viewers by putting "wow the crowd" captions and disappointing look thumbnails on their videos.

I already made a holiday tech gifts video but I’m starting to wonder if I should do one just for Apple! These products are bigger than everyone thinks… great video!

I still don’t understand all of the hate for this product. The Android and Windows 2-in-1 competition needs to make Apple pay attention to the iPad Pro (software wise). The iPad hardware has peaked, it needs a lot of attention when it comes to iPadOS.

I still stick with the 11 inch mainly it’s easier to hold since I travel a lot, easier to use while lying on the bed which I do a lot and it gives better battery life than the 12.9 inch version, I admit using lumafusion it’s a tad bit cramped but I got used to it very quickly. FYI I use 2018 iPad Pro 11 inch and Its still blasting.

I’m just disappointed not many apps take advantage of the great features. All the goodies are for the Mac only, even though the processor could be 1/1 identical. I believe iPadOS is a big barrier. I hope iPadOS 17 brings big changes; the problem is that bringing pro features to iPads would halt Mac sales. iPad would have powerful software, a touchscreen and awesome portability; why would anyone want a Mac? It’s a tough spot for Apple. It’s too good.

Plug in what you need, be sensible about it & keep it movin' The construction is plastic but it's a sturdy piece. It has a single toggle switch & the swivel jacks are useful as well. I think the point everyone critical of the M2 iPad is that we all know it is capable of much more, software wise and Apple is deliberately holding back it's full potential. It's been that way since the M1 iPad. These ipads have the power to run most desktop apps and everyone knows it, including Apple.

I stop buying IpadPro since I bought the 2018 version. Since then, I don’t see the reason to buy a new one, specially because they became much expensive to do the exact same thing that my 2018 version is able to do. Also, as you said, is time to bring really Pro apps to the ipad. Lumafusion doesn’t cut it and imovie is just ridiculous to those who want to proper video editing. The only Pro apps that I use in the iPad are the affinity photo and publisher. All the rest are just thought to light use. And that would be fine if apple would said that: this is a light product to do light work. But they don’t. They call it pro, they called it actually a computer and they charge pro money for it. So, there’s something wrong. I want a product that allows me to do everything that I want to do: light work and pro work in just one product.

I upgrade my iPads because of performance. I notice when the iPad isn’t dimming because it’s overheating, or that I can do multiple things without it overheating, and I can game at the highest graphic settings now in at least 60fps. The M1 couldn’t do 4k60 for certain games

The problem with the iPad lineup is not only the fact that Apple didn't release anything new for the products, is that they did it also increasing the prices absurdly. It is literally to spit in the face of everyone, like "I can do whatever I want and people will still buy anyways 🤷‍♂"

Still using my ipad pro 4th gen since it was first released. Gonna hold on to it until they release an ultra version. As of now, I don’t see its worth to upgrade. Over the years, it got me feeling skeptical for future iPad. Sure its the most powerful ipad but the iteration got to its point where its rather boring and unnecessary to keep pushing the specs, yet under utilized

Apple will never give you final cut on the ipad even when it has the m5 chip in it because they want your money. They want you to have to go and buy another Apple product, laptop/ imac to use it.

Trying to stick square pegs into round holes will just end in tears for you. The camera is fine. It follows you around to compensate. No one needs a keyboard anyway, it’s a Tablet. If one needs a keyboard there’s one onscreen. If one needs an external keyboard, a mouse, external displays , one completely defeats the purpose of a Tablet …. it says go get a laptop and stop trying to ruin the iPad. It’s nothing like a Laptop thank goodness & it isn’t supposed to be a laptop nor mimic one. Also, no MacOS on iPads. Me & millions of others don’t want it on our Tablets. Your needs require a Laptop & you should get the new Air (slim, M2, has MacOS, and it comes with a keyboard). You can put FCP on it to your hearts desire. The Air is available for purchase & fits in the category of device that you want.

It DaVinci resolve not LumaFusion LumaFusion has been on iPad for years

Apple stated that the landscape camera will be with its new updated design. The new iPad Pro design has had issues with MagSafe and has been delayed. That new camera is coming but in 18-months time now. The Pencil magnetic strip and charging coil will be killed for a MagSafe alternative. Remember all the Face-ID takes up a lot of space so it is technically difficult to just move it to where the pen charges. There are new keyboards coming with the new design and they will connect differently so there will not be an issue with keyboard space for function keys. FCP is never coming to an iPad, as that would destroy DaVinci sales, and I am sure Da Vinci would not have bothered if that was Apple’s plan. As for software integration with macOS, there is zero chance of that happening. Only a few months ago Apple said “no”. If the iPad Pros get something “more” it will be a dedicated UI, Stage Manager on steroids, and maybe a few more pro apps from developers. I think the iPad Pro is very mature. It will get developers releasing a few pro apps every year, if they think they can make money from a niche market. It is a tablet, and what else can it do? If you start saying you want macOS on an iPad, then just buy a Mac and a cheaper iPad for tablet stuff. The iPad and Macs are complimentary, why on earth would Apple compete them against each other? Fighting Android and Windows is enough of a challenge!!!

Unfortunately the M2 chip isn’t the same like in the MacBook Air. It is throttled and can only be combined with 16 GB of RAM unlike the Air with it’s possible 24 GB. …and that despite the fact, that the iPad reached price regions outside the USA, that could only be explained with massive greed. The iPad Pro with the M1 chip never had any chip disadvantages compared to it’s MacBook Air counterpart. So sad Apples arrogance is growing…and that in times they even couldn’t manage to provide us with iPhones due to greed again…only relying on China to save costs and further increase margins.

M2 ipad is dumb, and pencil hover does not make a good platform. M1, M2 are much the same.

If nothing really changed then how they justify the price increase by $200 CAD
