Hi Richard, I think they are going to just quit supporting older iPads like they quit supporting older Macs. My Late 2013 iMac missed the cut and won't update past Catalina. I hope they improve file management with the next iPadOS. Maybe instead of bringing MacOS apps like Final Cut to the iPad they will develop a new class of those apps specifically for the iPad. Getting my new iPad 12.9 today! Cheers!
Jim, you are most likely correct that they’ll just move forward and call it iPadOS 15 and a handful of older devices will lose support. You may be onto something with iPad class pro apps - I suspect they’ll be unique and subscription based. Happy New iPad Day to you, Jim!!! 🍎😎
