jing-han me buying the movies multiple times because im “looking into film-making and researching it” but in reality im just obsessive and i want them on all platforms. ESPECIALLY poa
It's just so ridiculous to use an iPad Pro as your main device. It makes your life worse trying to use a tablet as a Laptop with all of your dongles and "magic" 300$ keyboards. One of the best mechanical keyboards you can find in a local store can be bought for 300.
Alex Tud I’m entering high school and I’m going to use an iPad...and plus, it’s not like the objects you use for school determine whether or not you pass.
Lmao Studyquill : It was on sale at the UCLA student store, it’s a reasonable investment to my education Reality : I just really want an iPad, it’s cool
I’ve just got mine as a graduation gift for when I enter high school I figured it would be a good purchase since my school is very study heavy so i thought it would be good for the next four years, I was originally going to get the iPad Air but my paren surprised me with the pro so I’m very thankful
I would just get the iPad 7! I've seen it on best buy for like $250. You'll get all the features, minus the like camera quality and stuff for a fraction of the price. I'm planning on getting one soon. I might get an iPad pro for like grad school or something.
I have the regular iPad, not pro, but the newer version. I got it for a little less than $250 on Black Friday and I think it’s perfect for the average student. The Pro, in my opinion, is for people that might edit on their iPad, or do a lot of illustrations/other creative work. For me, price and quality wise, I think the regular iPad is great for the average college student :)
Likewise I also have the (just) iPad (6). It gets the job done for my note taking, slide annotating, and doodling needs. I’ve saved so much paper and printer ink! Not to mention it’s easier to pirate your textbooks bc you can have the pdf in iBooks and it’s almost like a real book.
The ipad pro looks so nice & i always have a hard time installing screen protectors cause there would always be bubbles which is annoying. Btw, the matte screen protector might degrade the apple pencil tip at least that’s what my cousin experienced
Hi studyquill! Just a recommendation, if u r going to have the Matt screen protector, just remember that it does damage the Apple Pencil tip. U will need some other tips just in case. If u don’t want to keep changing them, then u can use a plastic or glass protector. Just tryna help!
😂😂 I’m glad I’m not alone for justifying purchases. I just got the MacBook Pro 2020 yesterday to be delivered and can’t wait for it, I’ve had the Air which is good but really needed to upgrade for editing with. Love your iPad the new one looks brilliant , I couldn’t be without mine but will have to wait a while for the 2020 maybe wait for the next release as I have another 4 years of studying left 🙌😁
Kyahhh!!! Mine literally just arrived a while ago and I am genuinely thankful! It was just like yesterday when I was one of the people who "love watching things they won't ever have" but look at me now! Indeed nothing is impossible ❤. To whoever is reading this, I'm rooting for you!!! ✊🏻✊🏻😊🔥
Idk I just feel hecka proud that you can afford these things for various reasons plus you’ve been having a lot of sponsorships- it’s a long way from what, I think, freshman Jasmine expected 🥺💕
I bought an ipad air and it's the best purchase I made for my education! I was really struggling before and now I have straight A's! University is so dificult but it made everything so much easier! I love taking notes and studying with active recall! Everyone who has something against her buying it is just jealous! I know not everyone can get it but don't turn it into hate! I had to really work hard to get this with 100% my own money
I also really like OneNote for note taking. Especially if you use a Windows PC. It's easy to access your notes and copy paste between Android and windows and iOS. I like how it's organized as well. Plus it's all backed up in the cloud and accessable through a web browser if your tablet dies (or god forbid get stolen) and you need to access your notes.
@@dreamyanddizzy4076 desktop computer is so much better if you only use it to do presentation ... and so on ...if you buy an ipad you can draw ...and do presentation BOTH i might add... BUT IF FOR EDITING COMPUTER IS SOO much better lmao... it depends on why you want to buy it in the first place....
In her college decisions she seemed pretty dissapointed. I think she wanted to go to the ivies/top 30 schools. Idk why tho since UCLA is an amazing school
I think when you get in into a good school, you deserve to splurge for your future. Heck, if I were to get accepted at UCLA, I would justify buying all the gadgets I need if it will help me pass all my classes. LOL
for people who don’t have an ipad and still want to do *aesthetic* digital calligraphy- autodesk sketchbook is free on the app store and works great on your phone!
Hi there! One word of advice: if I were you I would purchase a tempered glass protector!! I also have an iPad Pro and I use it all the time for school and work, I purchased a matte screen protector and it actually damaged the tip of the Apple Pencil after a few days of use. I had to purchase a new pack of tips. So to save yourself some money, it is better to use the Apple Pencil on the glass or a glass screen protector. It will protect the pencil tip from getting damaged. Have fun with the iPad! Hope to see some videos of note taking and/or bujo on it! love your vids.
2:00 “I rlly like this feature” ... literally any iPad case comes with that 😂 even search on amazon, it was actually harder to find a case with a different design
Annie Astro I got mine refurbished and while it was still expensive af, it was less expensive than the real iPad and I got a lot of storage. I've only had it for a few days, and yet to do any work on it since I am starting class in a few months only, but I like the big screen!
The apple pencil works just as well without a grip for most people. But because I'm so heavy handed, I find having a grip is the only way to prevent my hand from cramping. So if you're heavy handed I reccomend eventually getting one. For reference I'm an artist and I easily spend many hours on end drawing. Like 10+ hours on a rotoscope animation I'm only 25% of the way through 💀💀💀. Procreate is a phenomenal app 100% reccomend. You might like playing around with the animation features! One way youtubers use it is to make little title animations. I think Ashley from best dressed and Linh Truong both do that. It's pretty neat.
Ive read that matte screen protectors fray the tip of the Apple Pencil (Which means it’ll break faster) so I would recommend getting a silicone protector for the end of the pencil. I love the video as always !!!!
Hey jasmine! If you didn’t know, notability does have magnification and imports. Magnification is on the bottom right. I’m sorry if you knew this already.
I use GoodNotes for my college notes too and I love it! You can import everything in there and customize everything. I like having the ability to edit, write on, and highlight my numerous course readings. Definitely a great investment for school 😁
so far i've been using it for art + random planning tasks, not notetaking. but it feels natural to write on it after practicing for a bit! i think preference varies though, bc I still strongly prefer the feeling of writing on paper + will continue to use paper notes.
Hello there! I have a small recommendation for the iPad! You should get the "paperlike" screen protector which is special for note taking on the iPad. It can be difficult to take notes comfortably and efficiently when you are resting your hand on a regular glass surface. The paperlike protector prevents scratches and simulates a sheet of paper, it feels like you are writing on paper!
*A recommendation for apps as asked in the video from my side would be to install canva, you can make awesome posters, thumbnails, planner and any graphics!, also has templates, hope would be helpful*
I have been binge watching so many digital note taking on the ipad pro, but was praying studyquill would get one to satisfy my needs. My prayers have been answered! 😭🥺💕 Please post how you take digital notes and how you use your ipad for school! 🙌🏾
my classmate using Macbook: ☠️ really wanna die too complicated me using Mi:😏 -------------------- I've been longing for iPad Pro!! or at least a tablet that can handle 4 years😂
Ale13 Use apple’s website. Click the education promotion, it’ll discount the electronics, then just add what you want to your cart and buy :) Btw there’s a deal going on right now if you buy a MacBook or iPad you get AirPods for FREE!! The education discount still works on the MacBook/iPad with the AirPods deal, and the AirPods are automatically bundled with the purchase so you can’t accidentally miss out! If you were gonna buy one anyway then I recommend getting it soon, cuz AirPods themselves are nearly $200 and now they’re free plus the discount on MacBook/iPad
Hey Jasmine! I was wondering how you feel about the 11" screen size for your iPad since I've been thinking about getting one for notes when I go to college, too. Has it been comfortable to read from/write on? In any case, thank you for sharing your experiences thus far. I look forward to loving more of your videos! 😊
@@Kaylee_20 hello, i’m not the same person but i have 11” pro and its perfect size, it’s not too big to carry and not to small to write or draw, very happy with my purchase
I purchased my iPad Pro a few months ago, and bought a knock off Paperlike screen protector off of Amazon. I applied mine the same as you, with air bubbles left, but I found that over time they work themselves out! Also I prefer Good Notes over Notability. Notability is good for in class notes as it doesn’t have pages, but rather a long stream of notes. Good Notes is goof for rewriting and making aesthetics notes. I did not buy a pencil skin, but I now recommend you do so. It is more for protection than comfort, as I accidentally dropped mine and now have scratches on it. Good luck, and I love your content!!
PRO TIP: When you install any screen protector then push all the bubble together so that you get 1 big bubble that can collect all the smaller bubbles way more easy rather then pushing out each small bubble alone.
I got my own ipad for my birthday and I love it! I can play games, text friends and family, FaceTime them as well and watch hulu, disney+, and Netflix with no ads! I love having my own ipad. 😂💕
This is the most useful and simple video for ipad's! Many others I've seen either go way to in-depth with some apps and then no info on others or so many other different mediums. Absolutely stunning. Inspiring everyday!!!
have you tried onenote, by microsoft? i’ve just started using it since school is now fully online and i’m loving the app! it syncs seamlessly across devices, so you can check your notes everywhere. some features you’ve mentioned, such as pdf annotation and folders are all there. i really recommend you to try it out. i really love your videos, and since we’re practically the same age, i kind of identify myself in you. lots of love from brazil!! :)
Thanks for the app recommendation! I’m using the iPad and pencil for my semester for the first time and this really helped. It also helps loads with taking study notes instead of hauling around notebooks
hey jasmine! nice seeing you try something new :)) i just wanted to let you know you most like will like to buy spare nibs for the pen. it can get annoying loosing the nib since it’s very small, while you do get spare nibs. also get some pen case that you can store the pen in. i use the 1st gen so it wouldn’t matter as much if you had the 2nd gen. it may just be for sparingly space. hope you guys put these to use! ^^ - from a person who thinks you are lovely!
We have the same case brand! Mine has an extra fold over that holds the Apple Pencil well. If you are still interested in a grip I just took a grip from a mechanical pencil!
Yay! You have joined the pro club! Also, zoom and import are available in notability too. I love goodnotes but I take all class notes and annotate all PowerPoints in notability due to the voice recorder
I brought this a few days ago .. well the 12.9 Wit 258GB .. and i dont regret it lol its cheaper to get my books because i just get them in PDF & i love it because you could highlight make notes in the book with goodnotes .. the split screens! Journaling ! I love this i pad
don't know if this is too late but you might want to try onenote, it's free from microsoft and it's organised like a notebook, with sections. it doesn't have a wide range of brushes but it's pretty great
i think the grip/case helps from messing up the side of the ipad. after a while putting the pencil back and forth to charge, it starts leaving a mark on the side of the ipad!
