My iPad Air 2 has been stuck in recovery mode for around 5 years now. Probably slightly more than that. And, i still cannot get the device to operate. It’s not dead. Still lots of battery power. Took it to the Apple Store in Southampton. They said, they needed to keep it for 3 weeks. I’m just wondering why….. when it only takes around a minute to get it out of recovery mode? Unfortunately i don’t own an apple laptop 💻 or a desktop 🖥️ for that matter. I’ve got an iPad Pro; but very unfortunately not able to get it out of recovery mode with this device. Sunday pm 21st May 2023.

Hey my ipad 6th generation got disable then I connected it with iTunes nd it updated the software and after that my ipad is asking for passcode nd then verify passcode nd after that attempting data recovery nd then data recovery failed nd then it again shows enter passcode and this process continues

that itune screen didnt show up for me

it does not work for me at all. Now it does not show that you need to connect to restore any more. It just displays the white screen with apple logo.

Hi there, my device went into recovery mode for no reason. When I turned it on it was in recovery mode, which was quite weird. I have connected it to iTunes but when the restoration is about to finish,it says: iPad not found. Please reply asap. Thanks :)

The official Apple method (YOUR DATA WILL NOT BE NOT LOST) 1. Download iTunes on your computer and open it (does not need to be a Mac). 2. Plug your device into the computer using charging cable (preferably the original cable). 3. A message should pop up - if not, do the following depending on your device: iPad models that don't have a Home button: Press and quickly release the Volume Up button. Press and quickly release the Volume Down button. Press and hold the Top button until your device begins to restart. Continue holding the Top button until your device goes into recovery mode. iPhone 8 or later: Press and quickly release the Volume Up button. Press and quickly release the Volume Down button. Then, press and hold the Side button until you see the recovery mode screen. iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, and iPod touch (7th generation): Press and hold the Top (or Side) and Volume Down buttons at the same time. Keep holding them until you see the recovery mode screen. iPad with Home button, iPhone 6s or earlier, and iPod touch (6th generation) or earlier: Press and hold both the Home and the Top (or Side) buttons at the same time.
