Apple has recently released iPadOS 16.2 update to all the ipads including M1 ipad Pro, iPad Air 5 and the recently annonced M2 iPad Pro. IPadOs 16.2 has stage manager and full external monitor display support for the m1 iPad Pro, iPad Air 5 and the recently announced M2 iPad Pro. Older 2018 iPad Pro and 2020 iPad Pro wont be able to have Stage Manager with Full external Monitor Support with iPadOS 16.2 update. I'm using an Insignia 32 inch TV as my external monitor with my iPad pro 2021 with a Satechi stand/hub USB-C. I can get the iPad on the TV in Stage Manager fine, the black lines are still there. Do you happen to know what settings I might need for the Insignia TV? Or where I could find them. Love your channel. Thanks

Thanks for the Stage Mgr., info. Where does my Bluetooth mouse have to connect to, the monitor..? When I connect my M1 iPad Pro to my Dynex monitor nothing happens. It will not even mirror my iPad. I do have the blue plug showing in the top right corner of my iPad so it IS connecting. Any thoughts you might have I would be grateful hearing from you. Thanks again!

Maybe the usb hub isn't taking that much power from the iPad pros USB C, you can connect the default charger to the charging port on the USB hub before connecting it to the iPad. It will work. And the mouse needs to get connected to the USB hub if it is wired one. If it's wireless then connect it the iPad using Bluetooth.. everything will be fine.

When I play a video like RU-vid, HBO, Netflix, etc. the quality video is low. This happen when I used extended o duplicated monitor.

Everything works except this one thing: I can’t resize windows by dragging from the edges. I’m using an M1 iPad Pro 11 inch, 4K monitor with wireless mouse. I tried different sequences of when I plugged in the monitor. no fix. I tried erasing all settings. No fix. Then I wiped the iPad, and started over, no fix. Any suggestions? .

hi , i am using ipad pro 11 inch , 2021 , i connected to my exteneal monitor, right now i can see mirror of ipad pro and left & right side with black shade, i cant able to use extend option, in setting > display &brightness i cant see arrangement option also. can u help in this ?

If it’s m1 device then it should work but at least you need 1080p display and connect it via HDMI

I have camera rotation problem When using the Zoom or Teams app, my camera rotates so I appear sideways when I move between the iPad and external display

hi bro, i just ordered xreal air 2 AR glasses and it's coming next month, it is best compatible with samsung dex, ipad and mobiles with v3.0 and above version of type c port . can u suggest best budget ipad/tab/mobile or any other device that can support xreal air 2 ar glasses external display. PLEASE REPLY.

Ipad air 5 is the one at the price supports full external monitor(work well on xreal air2) samsung tab s9 FE series is also great for most tasks except not that powerful.. any samsung flagship phones since s8 supports dex. For affordable samsung go with Samsung Galaxy S21FE or S23FE

Is it possible to get the full screen when the external monitor is mirroring the ipad? With that option, I get the black bars on either side.

When it’s mirroring it will actually show black bars because of iPads aspect ratio which isn’t 16:9(typical monitor aspect ratio)

Ya that’s the same as the public stable variant… check the build number. It should be 20C65

Unfortunaly Samsung Dex is much ahead in terms of compatibility. Im buying S8 Tab instead. Great video!

My display backlight stays on after the iPad locks. Is this normal? Any way to get the monitor to sleep?

It will automatically go to sleep. But you have to turn on power saving on your monitor … but it’s normal

If you’re running 1080 p monitor you will face more of these. Some apps don’t support resizing. And other thing you have to grab the all from the corner using cursor

@@XTechByJoinTheAvid thank you. I’m using a 2k monitor, and in one of the previous iPadOS 16 version it worked. Hope Apple could fix this bug soon.
