@@sandrazhao8803 I wanted to know what are the values for drilling and cutting on carbon steel, of 8mm caliber, I have a machine of 750 w but it does not do the drilling as it is seen in its video ... for that reason I wanted to know values of perforation, the cut in my machine is great but not the drilling ... thank you very much for your answer!

No affiliation with the channel. But judging from the cuts, he is using shop air with a 2mm diameter nozzle running roughly 2000-4000mm/m and his focus is going to be about 3mm into the material. Running shop air into 8mm, i would say he is pushing maybe 8bar in gas pressure. Cant really crank it, keep in mind it is only 500w, but atleast its a YAG.
Just speaking from experience with the specific beam generator theyre using. 500w of a 1070nm beam is powerful enough to cut at a decent speed greater than 1m/min on 8mm thick steel with either a 125 or 155 head.
Yeah, i guess its possible with a very good settings. I've ran 500w fiber laser before, for me the average was about 700-900mm with oxygen, wasnt really playing with a high pressure since it affected the cut quality. On the most cutting charts the average for 6mm is about 600-800mm/m.

It is 8mm, its just the laser power obviously is not 500w. Actually i had 500w and i was able to cut 8mm with the right focus distance, the speed was about 0.7-0.8m/min. But the edge quality was not as clean as in this video. And piercing takes a lot of time as well, so i had to pre pierce the parts with high pressure.
