iPhone 11 in 2024... Is It Worth it? 

True, Fun fact: I created my own RU-vid channel and I gained 457 subs and 2k plus followers on tiktok by only using an 8 years old iPhone 7.

But 3-5 years is very much justified. Eventually, iOS updates will be so old on some of those that you can't get apps to work. Feeling that pain plenty on my iPad Air (same chip as the iPhone 5). No YT, no Netflix, the list probably goes on but I gave up lmao

Same..I got my 11 since early 2020 and it works perfectly fine throughout these 4 years but the downside is it need a battery replacement after every 2 years of usage

What’s the difference. They’re all fast. Have great bright displays, take great pictures and surf the net quickly. My 8 I just got rid of for a free 11 worked just as good as this 11.

13 for sure! 11 is limited to LTE and idk about other areas but near my home it seems that signal got worse after the 5g implementation (wife has SE 2020)

Noticeably better low light and moderate light photo quality, better speakers (in 13 Pro anyway not sure if different), better battery, 5g support, iOS support for probably 2-3 years beyond. 11 is still a great phone though, if my 11 Pro didn't have its screen shatter in 2022 I would have ran it until at least the 15-16 rather than get a 13 Pro

@@Weather_Nerd I’ve done speed tests with my wife’s 12 mini which is 5G compared to my 8 and now my 11. Almost no difference. Very slight.

@@Weather_Nerd It’s all about how you use it I suppose. Most people aren’t away from a charger for 12-15 hours a day. When I was an HVAC tech, I’d plug my phone in any time I was in my truck for gps to my next call. Now I’m a funeral director and anytime at at my desk I plug it in. I think very very few people are really concerned about battery life only that they don’t realize how often they’re actually able to plug their phones in. There are means of charging everywhere. Photo quality? Yeah. There are a lot of people who want better quality photos. I’m not a photo snob so I can’t really tell a difference in day time photos between the 8 and 11. At night it’s more noticeable. But the day time photos between wifeys 12 mini and my 8 aren’t very noticeable at all. And I don’t know anyone who goes around using their external speakers. Everyone had AirPods or some other in ear audio device. I think the speakers on my 8 are actually better than this 11.

Yup. Someone gave me an 11 and I had an 8. Works exactly the same. Great display, runs fast, browses the web and takes great pics. Never understand why people upgrade so often. Status symbol I suppose.

@@EyeForKnowledge. Camera quality and battery life alone are worth upgrading every 2-4 years for many of us. Can't say I understand every year upgrades but if that's what people like. My 13 Pro still feels like a top tier phone and I would still have the 11 Pro if it didn't break, though the jump to the 13 was larger than expected in the best of ways. Really depends on how you use your phone I think.

@@Weather_Nerd I think the pictures on my 8 look just as good as my wife’s 12 mini. I mean maybe a little better in the daytime. In the darker environments they’re noticeably different. But I don’t really take many pictures. I just know a lot of people who can’t seem to pay for their necessities in life yet never seem to miss a phone payment after they upgrade every year or two.

The newer iPhone's don't have OLED flicker, where as the older models (X-12) did. So you will not have headaches with the iPhone 13-15, I can guarantee you that. I myself couldn't stand the OLED flicker on my 11 Pro Max, and I was so happy that my 15 Pro Max didn't have that. My 11 Pro Max would always give me eye pain, which led to migraines.

​@@Joshtheweathermanthat's inaccurate. LCDs don't have pwm. Oleds do and 15 pro max has the same they all had since the 12 which is 480hz.

I was reluctant back then for reasons like this, I’m old enough to have used Nokia smartphones and at the time they could do anything, later came android and they were the natural successors. I used many android phones for 8 years. But I can’t remember a single time that I needed to share a file with anyone over Bluetooth, and it’s simply because nobody needs it for this particular purpose. Wi-Fi Direct is another thing that almost nobody uses. It’s handy when there’s no network connection available but it’s a rarity these days, especially if you live in a city environment. So, I think you should try the iPhone, and if you realize that you really need to share files over Bluetooth, then go back to android.

Gives me a headache. And a lot of people.

My battery health on my 11 pro max is at 75% and my battery definitely still last a whole work day

@@KamalHossain-rn1ox it’s the original battery. This is my second 11 and is only 18 months old. In the last 4 months it’s Just gone downhill with battery draining and major lagging.

Probably battery issue bro, if the battery even original it may be defect. Heating also effect the performance and battery degradation

Yes but still usable and performance is acceptable at least for me, I can’t use oled screen so for now I am stuck with iP11, SE 3 is a good option too but the screen was very small and battery not that great

In terms of looks the iPhone does look better and u can get it refurbished for around $200 USD the a24 has a chin in terms of processing or how fast the phone is the a24's chip is slightly faster however and goes for around 200$ new, ask ur girlfriend on what she prefers tho the processor, or looks

Think you commented this twice but I would destroy the battery of an 8 like it's nothing and the camera quality is nowhere near good enough in even moderate lighting conditions (I know, wife has the SE 2020 which uses the same camera lens but the images are actually better than the 8 thanks to the processing done by the A13). We all use phones differently. My wife gets by fine even with the pisspoor SE battery. I could 100% tell the jump from the 11 Pro to the 13 Pro and didn't even expect to. It's large in certain aspects that average users perhaps wouldn't so readily notice.

It should get iOS 18 to take people into 2025. Plus security patches. When I bought my iPhone 11 December last year I knew it wouldn’t have a lengthy amount of updates but I chose it because it was reasonably priced. With many apps they can still run for quite a while after the software stops updating, obviously depending on the app

Apps don't drop iOS support years later tho, and Apple still release security updates for unsupported (major updates) phones.

Don't think that iPhone 11 will live as long as Xr.. rumors that iOS 18 will changed much than what the previous iOS updates does so..the chances for the 11 to getting the iOS 18 is slimmer..
