The iPhone 11 Pro (in my case the Max) is one of the best iPhones I've ever owned, and I think it's held up really well 5 years later. Any of you still using it in 2024? Join the discord! --- discord.gg/CWvGgGUZ2P
I had this iPhone from December 2019-October 2022, and I passed it on to my mom, to upgrade to the 14 Pro. Its going strong with 82% battery health, while my 14 Pro is hanging on to 87% battery health.
I don't ever want to upgrade from my 11 Pro. I am confident in saying that this was a golden year for the iPhone. Everything that has come after it is just a slightly upgraded 11 Pro. It's also running the iOS 18 Beta like a charm
Be for real the iphone 11 pro was also a slightly upgrade to the XS or XS max. Biggest differences was the camera. Also newer iphones are by far better at least the pro models with 120hz display, always on display and the 3 cameras at the back of the iphone 13 pro, 14 pro and 15 pro are gigantic next to the iphones 11 pro and 12 pro.
@@andr3970 The 11 Pro was actually a large jump from the XS, It fixed the major battery life issues present with all previous iPhones, and the camera jump going from the XS to the 11 Pro is way larger than any subsequent jump. Always on Display will eventually result in burn-in, which is a concern given how long I've had my 11 Pro. 120Hz is nice but doesn't fundamentally level up the user experience, and the large cameras on the newer iPhones are sure a good jump over the 11 Pro, but the quality in most photos isn't THAT much better, like the jump from the XS to the 11 Pro
I disagree…the iPhone 13 Pro Max had a far more significant impact on the iPhone series due to it’s 120 Hz, most powerful battery, and a very good camera system!
@@Erdadler The 11 Pro had the bigger impact because it formed the template for all the iPhones the followed it. The frosted glass back, triple camera system, night mode, and more
I love the 13 upgrades to the battery life across the board. Pro motion to pro phones, awesome cameras, smaller notch, double the 64 starting storage. dang
13 pro max is the GOAT when it comes to battery life and also the pro motion display feels amazingly fluid coupled with iOS' awesome animations. Next best for me is 15 pro series due to USB C and upcoming AI features
Well, the 11 Pro instead of the 11 Pro Max would make the module relatively larger so it will be more tolerable to look at, if you can get by with a smaller screen.
@@Chillednfunked and completely unnecessary if you’ve ever taken apart an iPhone. All that space is purely to add a bump that’s noticeably larger, with the purpose of fooling the consumer with the “bigger is better” scheme. They could just make the phone 1mm thicker, add an extra 400mah of battery and sink those camera bumps like the 11 Pro. Dummies.
@@Chillednfunked i can vouch for that. The 11 pro, together with the 12 pro, have their camera modules that are just tolerable to look at atleast for me.
@@benedictsarmiento7125personal preference i know but i like how big the camera modules are on the 15 pro max cause it looks proportionate given the size of the phone. i will say it looks ridiculously huge on the 15 pro though.
@@habibkoko251 Mine was absolutely cooked. But my battery was shot (75% health) I'm sure with a new battery I'd have been able to keep it for another year or two. But I figured I might as well upgrade to a 15 Plus.
@@habibkoko251as an iPhone 11 (base) user, it can last a day without charge mid-day. I have 79% battery capacity and it still lasts me all day (light use with minor gameplay).
Similarly to you I bought my iPhone 11pro at launch. Used it for 2 years, gave it to my mother, one month ago I got it back from her and now I am happily using it again. It doesn’t feel old or outdated.
Still using an iPhone 11 Pro Max since 2019, even when I had to buy another one with the max storage after my original one maxed out during a concert(256 to 512GB). Plan on upgrading to the 16 Pro Max this year, hopefully.
that's a nice video. it's nice to know people who use an older phone than me are still happy. makes me think if i really need to upgrade my phone myself
I bought an 11 Pro Max not too long after it came out. It ended up becoming my mom's phone for the last 3 years and we just passed it down again to my dad, who's XR was on its way out. It still has 95% battery health and runs surprisingly very well on the latest iOS.
I got my 11 pro since august 2020 and I’m still on 99% battery health. I’m a heavy user too and everything runs smoothly still. Thinking to upgrade in a year or 2
Writing this comment from my iPhone 11 Pro 256GB that I got used in early 2023. I of course would like to upgrade, but honestly every time I think about it I came to the conclusion that I sure “want” to upgrade, but I certainly don’t “need” to upgrade. Great video as always, one thing you didn’t mention: the 11 Pro (not Max) it’s the only Pro that can somewhat still be used one-handed (if you like me have quite big hands) thanks to being 5.8” and with curved edges. Funny enough in 2023 I originally bought a 12 Pro for myself and the 11 Pro for my girlfriend and after a couple of days I decided to switch to the 11 Pro “giving up” 5G, MagSafe and other minor improvements to retain the smaller size (fits better in my pockets and has double the storage, also). Battery on mine is now at 80% health, still holds decent charge but not a full day anymore. For now it’s still ok, if my father ends up buying the 16 Pro as he seems intended to, I’ll buy his 14 Pro 256GB and sell my 11 Pro, otherwise I’ll be replacing the battery on it and just wait another year 👌🏻
I replaced my 11 Pro’s battery 18 months ago and its capacity is already down to 82%. I plan on keeping this until the 17 Pro launches but the year ahead ain’t gonna be pretty. Shame because outside of that, this phone really is a powerhouse to this day.
i've got the 11 pro, and i got it refurbished. only downsides are that 64 gb of storage isn't enough, max battery health is an 81. some glitches but otherwise works fine. the crazy part about it all is that last summer, i dropped it in a lake. it was probably 8 feet deep, and under water for a good 2 hours. the glitches are probably because of that, but they don't make the phone unbearable to use, just slightly annoying at worst, for maybe once every few weeks. i love the cameras, i love the size, i've dropped it who knows how many times, and the glass back hasn't cracked, or the front bc i keep a screen protector on it. it's still a fantastic phone and unless it suddenly gives up because of the water damage, or we get to a point where it wont support newer ios versions, i don't see a reason to upgrade
I got a free 15 Pro from my current employer but I still keep my 11 Pro Max. The 15P is amazing especially the camera and there’s really no going back once you experience ProMotion but my 11PM is still running really well for its age. I’m keeping it until its battery no longer holds a charge anymore.
The iPhone 11 Pro (not Max) was the one that made me go back to iPhones after being severely disappointed with the Note 9. The battery life of the tiny 11 pro was somehow better than the Note 9. In some ways I still think the 5.8 inch form factor was the perfect size. If I hadn’t accidentally broken it, I would still be using it till now.
iPhone 11s are nice phones. My mom had the 11 and traded in for a 14 and my dad had the 11 pro max and upgrade to the iPhone 15 pro max. I am going to drowngrade my iPad 2 to iOS 8.4.1 but failed due to putting wrong information. I will get a pc soon so I will get iTunes and restore it back to 9.3.5 and try again
Still love my iPhone 11 Pro. Bought it back in 2020 at the Apple Store and it still works amazingly well. Battery is still at 89% capacity health. Might upgrade to the iPhone 17 when it comes out. But honestly I could go another few years with it.
@@BLVCK_06 yeah actually. I don’t really see it being drained too much if I use it smartly. Without too much wifi. I also never have a case on my phone. I love the phone without a case and I find it reduced my battery drain a while ago. You just gotta preserve it in your own ways. It was the first phone I bought myself, so I found myself actually taking as much care of it as possible.
still rocking the 11 pro and its great honestly i recently changed the battery myself and since then its been running like a champ really great to see more than a full day of live again. I dont want to upgrade really unless they come up with a round design again. I love my 11 pro actually its just a perfect sized phone with almost top tier cameras i just wished they had like a 5 times zoom back then
Good one! I do think the 11 Pro have a nice design we only did see that year, and that´s why i like it. I do have all iphones from day one and ofc. the newer ones have better specs and 120hz/cameras but still a nice solid device with round corners we not see anymore.
Still loving my iPhone 11 Pro that I got second hand from 2022. Only downside is the storage, 64gb is really not enough! , and the battery health is at 73%. Almost wanted to trade it for an iPhone 13 mini because I like the smaller form factor but hesitated because it would mean the battery life will be shorter and lose the telephoto camera. I also like the 13 Pro with all the upgrades but am not fond of the bigger screen. I still think that 5.8” screen is the sweet spot. I thought I should just replace the battery and probably upgrade the storage (there are services for replacing the memory chip) . Will it be worth it to do that since the 11 Pro is near to its last OS update or should I just wait and get the newer iPhone ?
Seeing that the 11pro is holding up well gives me more confidence in my decision for battery replacement on my 14 pro. Spent too much time on the fast charger lol.
What I like about the 11 pro is the difference between the standard 11. Especially in comparison to next year the very little differences between the 12 series. Also the 11 pro itself was a bit smaller. Never had one, my biggest screen size phone to date is the 13 mini
Bought mine 2nd hand 2 years ago, and never misses a beat! Battery life these days are at 80% but still lasts me till the evening. The camera on zoom wobbles but is still exceptional quality for a phone. No issues on lag, just gets a bit hot whilst charging and using it. Overall, it will take a lot to move on to a 13 plus, and would only happen if I break it!
I went from the iPhone X to the iPhone 11. Wasn’t really happy with the 11 so I sold it and got me an 11 Pro Max. I was way happier with it. Ended up selling it to get the 12 Pro Max. To this day I still have the smart battery case that came with my iPhone 11 Pro Max. Going to be traveling soon and might pick another 11 Pro Max just so I can have a phone with a Sim card. Having an iPhone with no Sim card tray really sucks.
As someone who’s used the 11 pro since the the month it was released it’s definitely starting to show it’s age in some aspect. Notably the battery life (which is expected) but also with my external speaker volume seeming very lacking nowadays to the point where I can’t hear media as well as I think it used to be able to earlier in the phones life. I still have my old iPhone 6 & 4s and the speakers on those old phones are NOTICEABLY louder. Hoping when I finally upgrade either this year or next year the speakers will be louder lol.
@@REIGNREDOX you’re welcome. Samsung and pretty much all other smartphone companies do the exact same thing. No company wants to waste money and resources on R&D every year when they got other things and features to spend their time and resources on. They’ve all figured out their brand identities and stock to it so it can be recognized anywhere by anyone. They only make slight tweaks and adjustments to the design but not a full on change or overhaul.
@Testimony201 Yea tbh I can agree with that, but when you had a iPhone for many years and you make the transition to snmsung (ANDROID) It's a huge huge change!
@@REIGNREDOX well I was on Android, arguably a budget android phone and when I made the switch to an iPhone arguably an old iPhone at the time, it was life changing and I was like nah I’m not going back. My first iPhone was the iPhone 6s in 2020 now I use a way better iPhone than the iPhone 6s but I still loved that phone and cherish it. Android so cool but i love my iPhone and I’m happy you got a nice Samsung phone, a bleeding edge phone in the tech world. We all have our reasons for switching and choosing to stay with our switch or reason not to switch to one or the Os’s. I respect that. Good luck.
I owned that phone for 4 years and loved it! To me it’s the iPad 2 of smart phones! Remember the iPad 2 was a hot seller for a long time because it was thin and ran really well! The iPhone 11 Pro Max was the last time I cared about upgrading my phone every year! Prior to its launch, I upgraded every year, then stopped. I just didn’t see the need to.
Got the 11 Pro Max a month after launch, been great over the years, had a battery replacement last year. Probably gonna upgrade to the 16 Pro Max this year as the lack of memory and storage (64gb) is hurting a lot, and the earpiece is thrashed.
back then I bought a maxed out iPhone 11 Pro because I was pissed off at work because they were making me get a new phone so whatever the top dollar one was... that's what I have. That thing is not missed a beat since. Still takes a good photo.
I still use my 11 pro max in a daily basis. I bought it since launch. I might upgrade after 2yrs now. This is why i love iphone, u will get around 5yrs os support and the only thing u need to change is the battery. I also carry an anker powerbank with it just to make sure I have extra juice all throughout the day.
I've had a longstanding crush on the iPhone 11 Pro since it launched. If I ever get round to making enough money to consider buying one, I'll get one in Midnight Green with maximum storage.
I just got iPhone 15 pro max I upgraded from the iPhone 11 and I am very happy that I upgraded since my iPhone 11 battery health was going down and it needed to get replaced I got that message
My iPhone is on 76 battery and it’s been pretty damn long since I had this phone finna jst get 14 pro max tmr love 11 pro tho it lasted very long great phone lots of memories
Actually upgraded to an midnight green 11 pro from my iPhone X last year. Loving it ever since and don’t think I’ll upgrade anytime soon. (Maybe upgrade to the 13 pro by then I dunno)
The 11 Pro is the smallest ZP/A iPhone that supports Dual Nano SIMs. It was the most comfortable phone I’ve used to date, unfortunately replaced it when the battery started expanding. What a shame; would have switched to a 13 Mini but it didn’t have Dual Nano SIM where I’m from.
Still using my xs max with 81 percent battery health. It’s been 6 years for my phone still going smooth as butter. 11 pro max was my favourite iPhone but couldn’t own it.
Man 3D Touch was such a missed opportunity, sad it got ditched with the 11s. Am I the only one that hates how they do the finish on the pros? I think having glossy on the back & frosted on the camera bump is so much more elegant looking.
I still use the iPhone 11 Pro as my work phone, and I love it! Other than some charging port issues, it works like a charm, and is great value now for what it is!
I bought recently an iphone 11 pro max 256GB for 300 usd with 76% battery and I feel it's a great phone (I jumped from iphone 11, that was my first ever iphone). I will replace it's battery and I'll upgrade to a 14 pro max or 15 pro max when this phone's newly replaced battery dies.
@@recreationalvideos1585 between 9 to 11 hours of turned on display. If you were to genuinely use your phone just for calling it may even last multiple days
Thank you so much for such an amazing video. I’m still using the 11 Pro Max 256gb and I’m planning on getting the new battery and I hope we get iOS 19 as well coz I will be using this phone for another 4 years for sure. I don’t see a reason to upgrade this iPhone yet, unless, in 4 years, if the iPhones have gone notchless… Subscribed!!
I have it still. It's great phone. I have 82% battery health but I'm not heavy user and my battery still runing perfect.. So for now I'm absolutely not upgrading to newest iphone
You forgot to mention that night mode is only available in the main camera, so there's no night mode on front facing, ultra wide and telephoto camera, that is the big difference from iPhone 12 that it has night mode in all cameras. Night pictures with no night mode on front facing camera will look bad if there's not direct light.
Believe it or not my wife experienced some overheating / battery issues when she had the 11 Pro Max. I proceeded to upgrade her to the 12 Pro Max later on, which she had for 3 years before I got her the 15 Pro Max. Not sure why her 11 Pro Max had those issues, but I know she enjoyed the 12 Pro Max so all's well that ends well I suppose.
question for the users of this phone, want to play zenless zone zero portably, can this phone handle this game, is 4gb enough ram, or 6gb ram from 12 pro is better option?
Man watching this, is making me regret doing a trade-in with my iPhone 11 Pro Max! Should’ve kept it! It was still on “iOS 15” my reason is because I loved the midnight green live when you press the screen! Aw! I miss it now!
See my 11 pro I have had for around 4 years and my battery health is at 76% and it tells me that it’s significantly degraded and all but like I haven’t experienced any slow downs or unexpected shut downs or anything of the like my phones been perfectly fine for as long as I can remember and my battery life I feel like really isn’t bad it’s probably definitely gone down a little but it lasts me an entire day with ease for sure so like do I even need to get it replaced?
Just got a 512 gb works really fast still especially the battery which has me really really surprised. I dont mind not having 5g lte is very reliable especially whwre im at for t mobile but i still have my s22 ultra if i ever wanna switch back to high end phone but just got tired of the size and just wanted to use iMessage and facetime for the meantime
i have had my iphone 11 pro since it came out and i replaced the battery recently and i think i will be using it until it stops getting software updates. dont see the point in upgrading just yet.
One year ago I bought iPhone 11 brand new from argos, and phone really good, and 1year and battery health 100% I don't want other phones Maybe I'm wait when we have iPhone 17 or iPhone 18
I curently use the iPhone 11 Pro Max and Samsung Note10+ LTE both are good phone i miss 2019 phone design guess i'll hold to them both as long as i can
I am happy with my iPhone 11 Pro but I think it’s time to upgrade as I have recently started facing issues. Especially using twitter feels so choppy I have not seen this issue in any other app, the phone usually runs warm, and background closing of RU-vid music app when I lost network while driving
I just got this phone few days ago as a birthday, btw in my country there are taxes on phones and without paying them the phone can’t make calls so my iPhone 11 Pro is tax payed and is worth more rn than a box pack iPhone 15 just because of the tax 😢and a tax payed iPhone 15 is worth a sedan 😭
My 11 Pro Experience has been AWFUL!! I lost faceid from a slight contact with water due to the display FRAME unadhering from the display and letting water in and also leading to one of the leses on the back to fall of from water. The battery has been terrible along with some major stutters and slowdowns even while being on iOS 16. I am really wanting to sell this thing and even downgrade to a XS just to get faceid back.
Yo me it is the best iPhone when it comes down to handling it, how it feels in your hand. Also many features round it up to a long lasting device for normal people -bear in mind I had almost all iPhones since 2007 and I hate flat square edges. Long live iPhone edge too 😂
18.1 IS MAKING MY 11 PRO MAX!! SLOWER!! IT IS STARTING TO SHOW ITS LIMITES!! And I do have plenty of rooms in my storage… so it’s not that! ANYONE ELSE????
