You also forgot to mention the horrific ghosting that's clearly visible in almost every low light photo and video you showed.

I can relate to this, since I still have my 8 Plus performing just great, I must find something really differentiating to do the upgrade. Thanks anyway, I think I will wait for the 12 Pro Max or even next year's iPhones.

@@timifrco1 you don’t find significant improvements from the 8 plus to the 11 or especially the 12? It’s like night and day!

@@watchreport Nearly every person I know can't tell the differences in a blind test. Additionally, I shoot mostly with daylight, that makes it even harder to tell the difference in some environments in a smartphone screen. That's why I usually update my iPhones in a 3 or 4 years interval. But I admit, I already feel the need of being able to shoot good photos at night time. Looking forward to see the 12 Pro Max improvements, because I still think night mode is somewhat better in the S20 Ultra and the Pixel 5. Cheers.

@@timifrco1 same I have the iPhone X and will still not upgrade to the 12. You can still get as good photos with the X or 8 if you know what you’re doing But more importantly, I have my mirrorless camera for seriously improved photography. PS - No 120Hz refresh rate is definitely a turn off as well. They’ll probably include it in the iPhone 13 or something, so I’d rather wait for it.

@@watchreport the 8 plus is the same sensor as the X, and honestly, the differences are negligible as this review shows, e.g. 6:48 Or at least the differences are definitely not worth $700 for the upgrade.

Anyone can upgrade whenever they want to but why would you want to do it every year it’s better to save your money every two years or three that’s funny nobody should upgrade except for tech reviewers😂

Wondering, if you will notice same thing as I do: when using camera app on both (12 and 6), the 6 have .... better screen refresh. I mean the preview from the camera on the screen is less jitterry when you move your phone.

yes please this will push apple even further to ship an even better camera next time

pixel 5 uses still the same sensor as the pixel 2. even with that sensor its nearly on par with the iphone 12. and the nightmode is far better because of the ability to have 4 minute long exposure (astrophotography). when the pixel will use a good sensor next year, it'll blow away the competition
