AGAIN?? Yeah I know, kinda repetitive lol but I just wanted to talk about this one more time and give some updated thoughts on the state of the iPhone and some other stuff. More videos coming soon!
@@CrazyPanda688 Just use it on dark mode and don't be an idiot. By which i mean keep closing the background apps when you can. Don't use wireless Carplay too much because it sucks the battery in a lot. Leave it alone during system/software updates. That should preserve the battery life. Try to not let your phone go lower than 20% if you can. Use Battery Saver Mode when it's actually necessary, don't switch it on at 80% or so or keep it on permanently. Switch it off for brief periods every once in a while. Maybe switch it off for 30imutes or so every 2 weeks. Lastly, don't use the phone while the charger is plugged in. That's the fastest way to tarnish your battery health.
Just traded in my 13 pro on Monday for the 13 mini and so happy I did. The one-handed usage possibility is amazing and so much lighter. I’ll miss the camera and pro-motion upgrades, but hopefully Apple re-releases the mini in the future in some way.
I would say that Mini users think more about their phone in long term and actually want to use it less than someone getting a Pro Max. We tend to not upgrade our phone as often. We don't rlly need the newest chip or camera for the minimum of tasks... So having a Mini every 3-5 years would be great.
I use 13mini, must say this is Apple's one of a great phone in lineup. Super handy, you don't need two hands to use the mini, feels more like a PHONE, feels good and nostalgic.
Well said actually feels like a phone not a tablet selling my 15 pro insurance gave me when I broke my second mini and getting a 3rd new sealed on eBay
I have been waited for the smaller phone since years then finally replaced my iPhone XS by 13 mini. Its best phone i had ever, 5.4" is still big enough screen to write emails, posts on socials and watching YT videos or gaming. No more larger phone ever if possible. It lays in pocket perfectly no matter you're in work or on sport activities like running or biking, and completely no issues with battery working time - one day of very active up to two days when i am not using phone a lot.
Have to say, that iPhone 13 mini is my first and so far only apple product, that I own, and the main and only reason why I bought it was its form factor (I desperately wanted a small phone again), and after three months of usage, I can say that I 100% love it!! Don't get me wrong, I hate iOS, android is like the light year ahead, and I still can't "adjust" my thinking to ios "idealogy". But I really love the phone itself, it is small, has good materials, it feels really "premium" in hand, and it FINALLY after many years fits into my pocket again. ;-)
I love my 12 mini more than any other iPhone I’ve ever owned. I will be using it for awhile I imagine. I hope they do what you mentioned in the video abc release a new one every other year or even every 3 years. I think they should do a mini iPhone one year and a plus the next.
I have big hands and I got the 13 pro max but I miss the feeling of having that little phone that just fits and does what you want it to do. Like the phones back in the day
Dude iPhones last years, they get software updates for like 6 years and then security updates Beyond that. If you ever have problems, I would suggest having the Apple text line, even new phones will have problems. Point is, you definitely don’t need a new iPhone every year. Say you got a new iPhone 14 pro or even an iPhone 13 mini or hell an iPhone SE (3rd gen) (which they still sell both on Apple’s website) right now… I wouldn’t be surprised if it lasted you 10 years. Hell I can receive calls on an iPhone 4S with having “calls on other devices” turned on from my iPhone SE (2nd gen), which I think is amazing since anything before iPhone 6 won’t work with a SIM card since they don’t have VoLTE, but yeah I’m pretty sure you can receive calls on any iPhone with iOS 8 and macOS Yosemite or later, which means it’s possible with an iPad 2, iPhone 4S (can be locked to any carrier, doesn’t matter) or as old as a MacBook Air or Pro from mid 2012.
I looooove my 12 mini. I’ve been using it for over 2 years, and, aside from a slight decrease in battery life, it’s been perfect. I’ll hold onto my Mini until it dies.
@@pemuda7075 I have a video talking about my experience. I was hesitant to buy because of the jelly scroll, honestly…it’s only there if you look for it. You won’t notice it if you aren’t trying to find it.
i love using the 13 mini, it’s the closest thing i can get to the peak of iphone, the 5s. i’m hoping this thing lasts for years, or until apple releases another mini. it’s perfect form factor and flagship abilities meet all of my needs, and i love showing it to big phone people who can’t fathom using something this small, great phone 👍
I’m a 13 mini user as well. I have the same experience with the battery deteriorating. I guess it’s a disadvantage of having that smaller battery, also with the ios and app updates, they cause the battery to run a little too hot.
Great video! I actually switched from S22 Ultra to 13 mini and I can’t see going back! Big phones are obnoxious and outdated IMO. Yes the mini is a little extreme but I love it! 🥰
There’s nothing extreme about the size of the 13 mini lol. 10 years ago the 13 mini would have been seen as gigantic because of the screen real estate, even though the form factor is barely bigger than a iPhone 5s
I got the mini a month ago and it's the best phone I ever had, it's compact, doesn't feel in your pocket, good camera, a really good performance and you could use it with one hand making multitasking a lot easier, battery last me an entire day with no problem I'm not a heavy user tough but for the use I do it's good, even I traveled not long ago and had no problems with battery.
13 mini is the best phone I’ve ever had, coming from a non- (or might go as far as saying anti-) apple guy. The only way I’d stay with iphone is if they’d released a new mini every once in a while. Definitely using this one till it’s dead. (Only bad thing is battery life if you’re a power user, which I am not)
since the iPhone 5S I've been always been dreaming about the iPhone Mini. The iPhone 13 Mini is definitely my favourite iPhone ever! I don't have so many apps and have a screen time about 30min per day. Also, the camera is fantastic and much better than my previous iPhone 7 Plus
I love my mini. The battery has def gotten worse lately but I quit all social media and don’t really scroll on my phone as much so it’s not a huge problem
It was July, went to an Apple authorised store to check the latest iPhones. I was truly in love with the 13mini. The form factor, ergonomics we’re just wow. But this would be my phone for atleast 5 years and hence I switched to a 13 which I feel is a decent size. However, I really wish apple should have continued the 5.8inch screen on the regular models as they were a sweet spot by not being too small or too large….
I’m on my 3rd 13 mini first 2 broke due to my own fault and insurance keeps hooking it up 14 pro then 15 pro and I just sold em to a homie and brother for cheap and get another 13 mini I love it so much one handed use is goated. With the 15 currently out and 16 is around the corner in about a month I just bought a green 13 mini 256GB new sealed in box off eBay for $600 I’m standing my ground. Almost bought refurbished for $420 but I’m about to start college I need that full battery health and hopefully keep this phone going for another 5 years I’ll repair it I don’t care or let insurance give me $900 and buy another one sealed new
Potato gang! Loving the 13 mini content ❤ I have a 13 mini myself and adore the thing. Honestly, in certain settings, the screen still feels large, and it being so bright and vibrant it’s still a great media consumption device, alongside being the productivity champ. Love the humor in your vids, keep up the great work!
I just bought the 13 mini last Dec 2022. It's very handy size-wise but OneUI is much, much better than iOS. The many inconsistent ways to go back in iOS frustrates me: swipe down, top-left button, top right button, swipe right from left edge.
The Iphone 13 Mini is the phone for me. Probably the best phone I’ve had in awhile. It’s comfortable, refreshing and fun. I would prefer to see smaller devices in the long run. Having to carry less weight is essential. Plus, having stuffed pockets while walking around may not be the best idea. Hope Apple will continue with the mini form factor, as an alternative for us who want to have a break from all these gargantuan phones. Sadly, This 13 mini will be the last of the breed. Shame on Apple for ending the Mini series. If Apple still want to continue with the mini, I think Apple should update the mini lineup every 2/3years.
I personally wish Apple would bring back the first generation SE. I purchased one in 2017 and it just began to fail functioning. I went to purchase another one but it’s no longer available only a refurbished one at $269. I defaulted to the 13mini. I like it okay.
OG SE is still my favourite iphone to this day. The newer SE models no longer makes sense, because they made them the same size as the phone original SE buyers didn't want.
I know Apple is going after the sales but I wish Apple would always just make a Mini Line Up, a Regular Size iPhone and a Plus size iPhone all having the same specs minus the bigger battery on the larger models. The Pro can stay the same with its regular and Max size.
I love my iPhone 12 Mini. I would upgrade to the 13 mini if Apple doesn't listen to all the great reviews of the phone for their next line up and bring it back. Great that so many reviewers are championing its comeback.
I think the Mini is going to be my next iPhone! I mostly spend my time on the Mac so I'm not a heavy smartphone user, but I do like to have great cameras and speed when I'm off in the weekend. The Mini feels about right
Large cellphones have become a nuisance. Many in my cohort are moving away from that. I myself rock the iPhone Mini 13. Many times when I run out to get milk or some such, I just wear my iWatch w/cellular. When I do carry the Mini, it's in my pocket. It's a great device.
I currently have the iPhone 12 Pro. Got it the same year it came out which has been 2 years already. Though I originally wanted to get the mini, I figured I’d treat myself to the Pro models. Now, if I do decide to change/upgrade my phone this year. I just might lean back towards the mini model. Besides, before I got the 12 Pro, my phone was the original SE. The battery health on my 12 Pro is at 87%.
For the part where you said when you “installed the ios16 beta and the battery would die faster and the phone would heat up while running it but now it’s good.” I think ios16 beta fucked up a lot of battery’s, I had the iPhone 13 when it first came out downloaded the beta when it dropped and went from 100% battery to a 93% battery life in 2 months. So it wasn’t just the 13 mini. It was a lot of iPhones trying to support the beta. The beta killed a lot of battery’s and Apple couldn’t figure it out until the real ios16 came out.
I've been using the 12 mini for a year (bought it second hand for a steal) after no android devices made phones small enough not to fall out of my tiny hands and my trusty Sony xz1 compact stopped working. I was very sad that there wasn't a 14 mini, not because I'd want to buy it now, but because I would like to buy another small phone in a few years when the one I have stops working. I don't really care if it's apple or Android, I just really hope small phones won't disappear completely.
it didnt sell because NOBODY knows it exists.. they never marketed or advertised it.. i hve my mini since 2 years and i have somene almost daily come upto me asking me what phone is this.. most people had no idea a mini was even released
In India 14 plus makes a lot of sense because the difference between the 14 plus and the pro is HUGE here and plus everyone here prefers a larger screen than “pro” or niche features
i've also noticed battery drain in my phone and i'm honestly convinced it's magsafe. using a 12 pro and it seemed like once i committed to magsafe entirely, the battery went from 100 to 90 health in like 5 months. definitely not as big of a deal as it is for a small phone with already lackluster battery like the mini, but still... strange.
wireless charging is incredibly inefficient and generates lots of heat from dissipated energy, which can damage the battery in devices and is considerably slower then wired charging. If the battery keeps getting worse it would probably be best to go back to using a wired charger.
not long ago just got a 13 mini, i absolutely love it, battery life is far better than my old iphone 11, but that is direct reason of the battery capacity, but no, i love my new phone and its such a perfect size ngl
im still chilling on a 12 mini after just over 2 years, still an amazing little phone that just feels right in the hand since i had a first gen se from launch then got a 12 mini around november 2020, battery life is an issue yes i am looking to replace it some time soon but once thats done im happy using it for another 2 years and if the stars align by then the mini might just crawl its way back into the iphone line-up
They're likely bringing the mini back with the 16. Apple plans their line 1-2 years ahead of time, so they likely already have plans for a 15+ next year. There's a chance that they can pivot in time and make a 15 mini, but it's unlikely.
I'm clicking thinking "don't make me buy one now, don't make me buy one now, i'm satisfied with my 13 Pro Max and it's hard to resist the best and cutest form factor of a beast which is 13 Mini"
People say 14plus is not worth as 14 PM is just $100 more. But this is not everywhere. Take India as an example, the difference bw 14P and 14PM is above $500, even more if you take deals on 14Plus as sales are low,the difference is even more. So sidelining 14 plus and comparing it to 14 PM on base of price is not good, not every country is as blessed as US..
I’ve never thought I would purchase an iPhone with a notch design. Bought a Mi Mix in early 2017, then got myself a Vivo Nex S in less than two years. Phones just stopped getting bigger since then. Ironically I just bought an iPhone 13 mini because that my need for screen size has still gotten bigger and bigger. To the point that I’m using my iPad mini as my main device. I no longer need a large screen on my phone.
I got mine 10 months ago, I think. NO intention of replacing it, till it breaks. It replaced a Samsung that crapped itself. Think of the stress that premature upgrades puts on the planets resources. And ask yourselves, do you REALLY need it? Or do you watch videos like MBK, etc., and buy into the bullshit of marketing?
If there would have been a 14 Pro mini I would have purchased it over this 14 Pro I just upgraded too. It was gonna be either the SE, 13 Mini or 14 Pro and in the end I decided to go with the top tier phone of today.
i've had my iphone 13 mini for a year now. battery life is at 87%. not the greatest battery (i have to recharge my phone in the evenings in a school day) but other than that i love this phone
the most valuable iphone becasue of high opportunity cost to developed and already removed by apple. it really suit some user who want easy use easy carry
What 2 apps do you use for your wallpapers? This video and the previous one about the 13 mimi you show going between screens and 2 apps stood out to me where they seem to be wallpapers? One is like a live one/video?
How do we start a bring back the mini campaign. I am sure there is enough of us that can flood the Apple inbox with an email asking to "Bring Back the Mini!!!"
Great video. I have absolutely enjoyed my year and few months with the 13 Mini, but over the holidays I got a killer deal on a regular-size iPhone 13 with double the storage + a discounted cellular plan through my job that I couldn’t resist. I have been preaching the gospel of the 13 Mini since the day I got it, but I have to admit, I don’t regret moving on from it at all. Your mention of moving onto other phones like the Pixel 7 Pro in your case inspired this comment. I am both still in love with the idea of the Mini and the form factor it provides while also extremely grateful for the extra screen and battery life I get with this brand new regular 13. I think it just goes to show how much Apple nailed it with the whole 13 line, and I am certainly glad I decided to give myself this niche experience of owning a smaller but equally as powerful smartphone in a world of Pro Maxes and Ultras.
Been using my iPhone 13 Mini for a year now. Love the small phone, still wish it was running Android though. Battery is still at 99%. If I ever want a better phone I'll get a sony. I never want a wide phone again, the narrow phone is so much more comfortable.
Thinking of getting this. I’m due for an upgrade still have 8. And I don’t like the idea of a chunky phone. Like why do I want a screen on my wrist and a big one in my pocket. You know. Doesn’t make sence too much in my daily life. Plus I have small hands .😂
