I've spent a few loooong nights trying to make this the most interesting, useful camera comparison possible - would really appreciate your feedback! Enter the Giveaway HERE: bit.ly/3EF6Pj2 (100% free and international - All phones purchased by myself)
Like so many things I love how complex the comparisons really are. Really does come down to what people want to do with it. That night mode stuff is crazy these days though, both camps are scary good.
I find myself constantly impressed with how you are more concerned with telling what you perceive as the truth rather than try to appease iOS fans or Android fans. I have tremendous respect for you doing that. Because I've seen plenty of videos where the bias for one OS is really quite obvious, and their reviews reflect this, but almost ridiculously so. Keep up the great work, I admire your ability to be un-biased when reporting, and it DOES make a difference.
This guy deserves more subs. He was able to explain and compare pros and cons of the 2 phones. If anyone is struggling choosing which phone to buy (especially camera main) this vlogger is surprisingly good at pinpointing what you need to consider.
Very detailed! The best camera feats comparison so far. But i’d still go with iphone. I’d love how realistic photos can be. Most of the time, just on a personal note, photos taken from S21 really looks good looking at the phone’s screen, but when it’s uploaded or copied to my laptop or looking from another device, it’s kind of a different than looking at its phone screen. But photos taken from the iphone looks the almost same when uploaded or transferred to another device. My observation only.
@@augustuslunasol10thapostle Dont be hater, i have s21, note 20 ultra Snapdragon and iphone 13 pro max, dude, iphone 13 pro max upload way better pics at social media. (IG, FB, WHATSAPP, ETC) Android photos just look better in the device.
Not really, it's no surprise for anyone who consistently uses Samsung. Those of us with Samsung know how much its improved, its the Apple heads that can't seem to figure that out. It's not a surprise if you remove a tech bias and read some specs without scoffing at the company you wouldn't reach for.
They’re both incredible, and their differences are small enough that neither is going to hinder your average user. Choose whatever ecosystem you prefer, as honestly, phones are so polished nowadays you really can’t go wrong.
If you want to use your phone to make videos that are more than just some memory moments in you phone, you HAVE TO go with iphone. That's the only case where it is not about just choosing the ecosystem you prefer. S21 ultra videos are garbage, filming short movies is a pain in the ass compared to Iphone. I wish they could steal Apple video software and update this shitty videos recording phone.
Samsung has poor brightness in slowmotion It has very very poor focus even in normal shoot. Obsolute rubbish this guy has spoken regarding these two features.
I’ve said this before & I’ll say it again. I love the way he presents his findings in a non-biased method & give sound reasoning. I’ve seen others that seem to lean way too much towards one brand or the other. Watching these videos are making me really debate. I have the iPhone 13 Pro Max, but I haven’t activated it yet as I’m still just making sure I really want to switch operating systems. The one thing(outside for some silly loyalty for some reason I still can’t escape) that made me lean towards iPhone is that I have an old MacBook & I’m not ready to shell out big bucks for a new premium laptop.
I’m using a 9-year old MacBook - I’ve never had a Windows laptop last more than 3-years. Apple products last… I switched from a Samsung S8 to a iPhone XS, now to an iPhone 13 Pro Max. I could easily trade-in my iPhone XS, it’s in great condition, no physical damage and the battery is at 88%. My S8 was at about 64% and had a damaged screen in about 4 places. Apple products are definitely a much better investment.
"You can take really small things, and blow them out to very large proportions. I found this, VERY useful". LOL. Haven't seen any comments on this, so good one.
@@TheBlock70 are you stupid. He meant he is watching it on a Zflip so when he flip it open the comparison has both phones on either end and the crease in the middle has the middle thing Arun using to keep score. Smh
I have done pro photography and videography. I have had Apple and Android phones. I would say Android is better at Instagram-style images (like the cat photo in this video). But here's the thing, that would pretty much be a software thing. And with the 13 Pro, it looks like you could just brighten the shadows (esp. shooting Pro Raw), and/or shoot in "Vibrant" mode to mimic that look. I'd test it out by my 13 Pro has yet to arrive!
@@jen-EL I have! It actually seems like the Apple software is more HDR now, but it could be a setting I'm using. My method seems to work pretty well. I would say the camera's are relatively equal with different strengths and weaknesses.
Thanks for testing night videos for the flare! I REALLY wish that they would just fix this already...in many night scenes, the quality aspect is just ruined by the floaty green blobs flying around the screen...and forget about getting some nice photos of you in of the christmas illuminations (your face will be covered in green blobs 😅)
@@frufrufrufru1999 but i prefer samsung, i don't like apple so i want a good samsung phone better than iphone i could get the 13 if i want but i want s21 ultra
I’ve owned a s21 ultra and currently own a iPhone 13 pro max, honestly both are great at taking photos, while the iPhone is more reliable and consistent , the galaxy can take some awesome photos with the right touches.
Samsung photos look better but for what I can see Iphone is more close to real colors. Amazing comparison as usual, the quality of this channel is unrivaled in terms of details and thoroughness.
@@allenkulasingham7861 Mobile cameras are meant for click and shoot! Not for professional work dear! But if you want to taje professional stuff .. You can use pro mode on samsung and edit it... That 108mp camera will give u almost dslr level results in pro mode!
for the past years i thought you are just like some other youtubers who could be bought by companies for bias reviews. Thats why i rarely watch your videos. But after watching this, as an IT graduate, all i can say is superb. No bs whatsover. You know exactly what you are doing. Nice reviews :)
@@defnotatroll It's a good argument, but the real point is not the price. The point is, if you're in the market (for anything) it's nice to have good options to choose from.
I never really cared about taking pictures on my phone, but then when I got my s21 ultra I figured why not take a few seeing as how that's a major selling point for this phone and I gotta say I love the camera on this phone.
See the new features i found on my new IPhone 13 pro max but 12 pro does not hav them...🚨▶️ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-byMke2n-AGs.html
I love how objective he is. I watch his reviews and can never detect if he has a bias; he just goes at both brands/companies in the same manner. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 IMO iphone had an impressive year finally making some much needed advancements while Samsung became a little too comfortable, so I hope this s22 lineup is more quality vs quantity. Either phone is great, but I get the iPhone draw. If I didn't use my phone like a full on Laptop I would have an iPhone for sure.
LOL!! @ 3:17 Apple's favorite lesbian Aunt, Tim Cook. 😆😂🤣 Giving i-phones away should be a hate crime. I don't know anyone that I hate enough to give them an i-Phone. 😆😂🤣
Not to forget, s21 has a pro mode where you can keep the shutter open even for 60 seconds if you want. More light and more details if you are using a tripod.
But the portrait Samsung photos colours are not the real colours they might be more colourful but if you would be making the photo the iPhone would show what you see and not make things more colourful while they aren’t
probably one of the most detailed review of the camera of both phones. My conclusion? get the one that works for you. if you are hardcore Android user, no need to switch to Apple and vice a versa. Both Apple and Samsung did a great job. can't go wrong with either. what a time we live in that our phones can do such things!
Absolutely, detailed comparison on everything, like portrait, landscape, etc, not hating but so much better camera comparison than Marquez browni's camera comparison which is so pointless. Wrong spelling i know.🥲
@@aren650 I am also very struggling to grow my channel and get views but this just is not the way to do it. People need to watch your content because they want to do so, not accidentally watch it and hate it.
Honestly, I am quite surprised by how well both these phone cameras are, Apple is committed to improving its camera performance. Samsung on the other hand is just trying to keep a great balance....The S21 Ultra is really good, even the selfies its just incredible.
@@hyolinn5829 my S8 still has good performance. The only thing I'm worried is battery, but batteries degrade over time so yeah. If you speak from experience then maybe that's just for you.
I agree. As the phones are slowly taking over the dedicated camera market, photos from an actual dedicated camera should be helpful in the comparison to see who is getting closer each time 👍🏻
Thank you for helping me shop for a new device. Your camera function analysis and comparison is superb! It's such a tough decision but I keep coming back to the Galaxy S21 ultra after watching 2 of your reviews. Thanks again!
Lol same here I watched the review with Samsung s21 ultra nd iPhone 12 pro max almost two years ago and this again still yet Samsung still leading I just ordered for s21 ultra wish I had more money I could have purchased the s23 ultra that will be lunching in few days
@olight I don't even own samsung (Sony). Well well well, what do we have here, where I was telling you were a fanboy? But this passive aggressive attitude of yours tells me all, case closed (drops mic).
I love all the hidden PassionFruit and RickRoll easter eggs hidden in every video, it's been amazing watching this channel grow! thanks for all the content arun!
You call Samsung's warmer tone fake in some shots but when it comes to the iphone then it's more realistic! How that thing works? Not fair bro, do not disappoint me 😅
Mrwhosetheboss: Samsung has a 40megapixel resolution, while Apple is using a tiny 12megapixel Me watching in 144p: wow that's such a big difference mhmm
True. What do you think of the Vivo X70 Pro...the camera and video beast? I'm a die hard user & fan of Xiaomi Redmi phones for their rare special add-ons. I'm intrigued by Samsung's camera until Vivo X70 Pro came. Apple iPhone is great too, i just live their Bass output & robust sound on speakers 🔊. No other phone can beat them.
I was watching shorts and then just your google and siri comparision video came and now I am addicted to your channel, I love how you express all the functions of the phones 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
This is honestly one of the most in-depth camera test videos that I have ever watched. Thank you Arun for the great content that you produce constantly!
2:57 "You can take really small thing and just blow them up to large proportions. I found this very useful." ..... Me: (He is still talking about the phone, right? Or something else?) 🤣😂😅
Great comparison review as always. 👍🏼 I’m fully entrenched in the Apple ecosystem, so I won’t be switching to Samsung. But because of the competition, we all win! Looking forward to upgrading my iPhone 11 Pro Max to the 14 Pro Max this Fall. I hear the camera updates will be substantial.
"It can take really small things and really blow them up out of proportion". Now just that one sentence got one particular group of people interested 😂
I just recently switched from the S21 Ultra to the 13 Pro Max. In my opinion, there’s no comparison in the two. The S21 Ultra camera is much better. I found myself using the 10x zoom feature more than I realized. Using the iPhone has made me realize how much I miss that phone.
@@thomassoares5844 One UI at least gives you the option to alter the layout and choose other launchers. With iOS, you essentially “get what you get.” If you like cutting edge technology with a ton of options, go with the S21. If you want a simplistic approach, then go with iOS.
Both phones are impressively good; it just comes down to what specific camera feature the consumer wants. And thank you for the very detailed comparison. No one does it better than you do. ❤️
"sometimes the anticipation of having the new tech is often more fun than having the new tech" Is possibly the truest statement I've heard from a tech RU-vidr.
Lifted almost straight from Star Trek. "After a time, you may find that ‘having’ is not so pleasing a thing after all as ‘wanting.’ It is not logical, but it is often true.” - Spock
idk - I somehow constantly hear hissing in the plosive sounds, especially bad with words ending in an "s" this review is full of. The delivery and pacing though, great
Get the iPhone if you got more office work sorta stuff. For businesses and stuff, its really good. Get the Samsung for the other stuff, if you wanna spend alot of time on it doing complex stuff, i dont really know how to explain😹 But I’ll side with the iPhone!
While Arun is doing some important tests with the two phones and speaking some important information, I'm just zoning out, vibing to the banger music in the background.
This dude is by far the best techtuber out there, his videos are simple, entertaining, and informative, he never acts like a fanboy for any company and gives facts. Respect for you Arun, keep it up!
I would definitely be curious to see a comparison when the new pixels get released. New camera modules along with Google's almighty processing. Good times indeed for mobile photography
@UCxLx7_2UA06CmAcxnRRMsqg Considering iPhone 13 Pro Max is newer that S21 Ultra and plus lacks on many things I wouldn't say so, and what this guy said was comparing the new Pixel phone that is coming and incase u don't know Google's image processing is better than any other company
I've never used an iPhone in my life however, I must admit that the cameras are beautiful. Too bad they are terribly overpriced here in Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹. Keep up the good work and hope to watch many more of your amazing videos.
@@DeathPerMinute the price ranges from 12-14 thousand dollars for the pro and pro max models. And that's just for the entry level storage 128GB. Prices are crazy here.
I'm the kind of person to use a cinematic mode with a 21:9 ratio all the time than use the stabilization. Gotta live the childhood dream of a film director somehow lol.
@@ImotekhtheStormlord-tx2it ok and? You know apple buys displays from samsung that means samsung have no rights on the display and apple only buys the base display from samsung and calibrate the colours and everything by themselves.
Why is it that no one focuses on creating a good selfie camera for video? Even many high level vloggers are now using phones to record, and it’s nice to be able to check that you’re well framed.
allow me to introduce you... foldables phones. zflip, zfold, matex fold... etc can use their main camera for selfie. Their where also dual screen phones from nubia and zte that had a screen on the back but they didn't make sequel. Also their's the xiaomi flagship with a small screen on the back but it might be hard to frame yourself with it. Anyway, there are options at differents price point.
@@Natsukashii1111 the Xiaomi phone is the closest to what I'd like to see. As someone who works in construction, the folding phones are just too fragile.
@@NicESpurling foldables are surprisingly sturdy since you can drop them and they would be fine, but yeah, if you drop your phone in paint, it wouldn't be as easy to wash as a normal phone. I have a friend at my workplace that did that with his phone, his charging port is dead but he can still charge wirelessly so it's fine, paint might clog the hinge on foldable phone even if the phone itself would survive...
@@LukeyWolf it’s Samsung latest generation till January and it still has the second latest 888 chipset. Not talking about exynos. So to call this last generation would be wrong. It’s still 4-5 months left till s22.
I love how every video sounds boring on the title but when you watch the video you get hooked and you end up watching the entire video. Thanks for that.
Thanks for this, I'm still using a Note 8 and it's finally dying slowly on me now. So I've been trying to hold out for the S22 Ultra or, if Samsung ever decides on bringing back the series, the Note 22 Ultra. But it seems the S21 Ultra can easily keep up with the next gen phones!
I have note 10 plus 5g it's holding up great plus its still has external memory if I were u I will get the note 20 ultra with external memory way better than s21
I cannot recommend it enough, you will be blown away with the 10x optical zoom and 108mp camera which for some reason he left out of this video. I’ve had it since it released and still love taking pictures of stuff, something I’ve never felt with any iPhone I’ve had. iPhone cameras just feel boring in comparison.
@@ragingblade504 s21 ultras cameras are way better note 20. Most parts of the phone are better from performance to speakers. External memory isn’t the only benchmark of a phone
If the iPhone 13 Pro Max is this good on release (still not upon several software updates and refreshes), imagine how great it will be in 6-10 months of updates and new features! The battle was very tight of a just-released phone against a phone that was released more than 8 months ago...
