Omg tee the case looks amazing thanks for installing those items definitely not an easy job to do in camera so hats 🎩 off to you. I may have to get this case. 🙏🏻
Thanks! Yeah it was tougher on the video side for sure but I got through it. Just wanted to show what you have to go through if you want to use everything in the packaging.
How would you compare this to the Gripzilla? I have the Gripmonk (and love how it feels in my hands) but want something more protective, so I'd consider upgrading to the Zilla, but this design has me very curious. I feel like the fit and drop protection probably are better on the Flex, I've seen the Gripzilla pop off phones pretty easily.
I mean the gripzilla bas the grip one this for sure. This is a different design no doubt and I feel like some will like it and other won’t. If you need that grip then another option might be better but the way the case is designed I don’t really have a hard time holding the phone in the case.
Rebel has been my go to case since it’s debut (when it finally drops each year lol). I do wish this version had the blue inner shock absorbing material like the 11 series did but it’ll be my daily driver until Gen 3 drops. As always love the review Tee keep it up man 💪🏼
I just ordered the Flex case for my iPhone 13 Pro Max after seeing your review and found that it actually was in stock when visting the Phone Rebel website. I had the first itteration of the Phone Rebel case which also had the open sides for my iPhone 11 Pro Max and loved it. Hope I'll be just as happy with the Flex, thank you for a great video!
It’s here let’s goooo!! I also love how the phone rebel case has all these features like stronger magnets, aramid fibre, unique side less design and they still manage to include a high quality screen protector in there, unlike other cases that are more expensive and you don’t get all that lol.
@@TechnicallyTee Yeah but those FloLab screen protectors are supposed to be pretty premium. MobileReviewsEh did a great test on many high quality ones about a year ago, and the Flolab NanoArmor won. I'm pretty impressed that they're including a FloLab protector with this case.
Yeah I’ve heard some good things about them but what I hate is when you order Flolab protectors they come with the installation tray and the included one here doesn’t.
I had this case on my iPhone 11 Pro and now I’m waiting for the gen 3 crystal series for my 13 pro ! Maybe even the flex series lol I really enjoyed the open side design and the way it feels when you swipe up from the bottom or swipe down from the top
Got the flex for my 13 Pro & 13 Pro Max and it’s definitely the best case out there. After installing the side protectors I immediately took them off as they weren’t perfect and gathered heaps of fingerprints. I think it looks and feels better without the protectors. Now just waiting on the frosted Gen 3
@@Paa375 I’ve got the flex, Gen 3 Rebel and Frosted and currently I’m loving the flex. I swap between the flex and frosted (which is awesome) but don’t really care for the Rebel Gen 3.
I didn’t get the flex case but bought the crystal gen 2 and holy hell man, honestly the best phone case I have ever used, this dude is doing cases right, whoever he has to make these things is just incredible 👍🏻🙌🏻
So just got the regular phone rebel for my IP 12PM. Returned the mouse case, had a big lip on the bottom of the case. Very happy with the rebel version, was $20 cheaper than mous, and came with a screen protector. Can’t wait to get the flexible version.
I had a Rebel case just like this for my XS Max and I really liked it. They just came back in stock for my new 13 Pro max. Going to order one now. Thanks for the video because I didn’t remember if it came with bag safe. Keep up the great work. 👊🏻
I bought two of these cases just in case I damage one. This is my favorite case. What I love most is the attention to detail. Every time I look at it, I notice a new detail or cutout. The engineering behind this product is phenomenal. Outstanding review, man.
Thanks much appreciated! You know people think I’m crazy but I always have multiple of the main case I use. I drop it and it gets damaged, pull out a fresh one! Lol.
Just get my hand on the phone rebel flex series! I just love it ! I mean I never feel such feeling holding a phone with a case ! Thanks you tee ! But they got to admit that they haven’t made those side protection to be install! I manage to install them but 😪 VERY Hard to install ! But at the end I am very happy for my purchase! Thank you again
You get it, TT! This design reduces the chance of droppage because those corners dig into your hand (not in an annoying way), giving you a more secure grip. Does the rear lay on table design give you a flat landing or does the camera bump still create slight rocking? I probably won't bother with the sides myself, having a non-Pro iPhone, i'd prefer to keep the aluminium look, sans gloss, but good on them for including a few of them. May've been easier for you to install the sides if the phone was mounted in an adjustable stand 💡😏 Seems not many others are into this style of case, so an in-depth review like this is appreciated. Even your struggles were good to see, as it provides evidence of the tedious process to install those side strips - anyone can say it's a struggle, but to see it for ourselves is better.
Absolutely man because I hated the video was so long but that’s the real that you’re going to go through when installing everything involving this case. It’s funny because I’ve been using it for the past few days and loving it while I wait for the Gen 3 Phonerebel cases to come in.
I think also part of it is there is the case doesn't extend around the sides which lets your fingers get around the phone a little bit more. I'm using the Apple Silicone Case right now but I'm gonna grab one of these when I get paid. I wish they had other colors but I usually rock black anyway.
@@jayhartRIC Yep, that’s the point. I also had an Apple Silicon case for my last iPhone, but when I saw a frameless case like the Flex was released, I picked it up & never looked back. The extra reach it gives you makes one-handed use much easier.
I know how to install a screen protector well, but if I had a good one on like the Spigen and this one didn’t come with an installation kit, I would not go through the hassle of doing it with no guide. You’re a more patient man than I am now days with these 😂
Poured over you channel most particularly after upgrading to an iPhone 13 Max Pro recently. Today my Phone Rebel Flex case showed up and immediately it went into action. It’s really interesting the integrated experience one gets with this case. Being able to see & feel the actual sides of the phone is a pure delight. Understandably this isn’t the case for everyone, the geometry and edges suits me perfectly. The contrast between this case and the Mgnaooi Magnetic case are noticeable, both have merits. Depending on the given day or tasks it’s good to have variety onboard. Now I want to get a Melkco leather case because sometimes you want that supple feel. Funny how I bought two MagSafe cases and haven’t purchased that type of charger yet. Again I really love this Phone Rebel Flex, thanks for your top case advice.
I haven’t got the flex as I’m still on a 12 pro max so I have the rebel series that covers the sides. Been on a year and i love it. Definitely the best case I’ve ever owned. Like you said the MagSafe strength is awesome, I actually use MagSafe accessories I wouldn’t use on the raw phone. Couldn’t recommend it enough. Like you said the only negative is the lack of a screen protector guide frame
Flolab does make an edge-to-edge screen protector. Phone Rebel is using Flolab screen protectors which aren’t cheap but I can’t stand the cutout lines anymore so edge-to-edge FTW
Yeah I see they aren’t cheap but he still needs an installation frame these days. The cheaper good protectors have them so I feel all should still this point.
Thank you for engaging and detailed reviews! What's the weight of this case? Another RU-vid channel has a device that measures the strength of the magnets. Have you considered doing this? It would be so helpful in rating MagSafe magnet strength between the cases.
Great video! Handled the screen protector like a champ! I work for one of the major carriers and all our screens come with installation frames but I get Amazon shoppers coming in to get them installed and I feel always the same as you did here (I do turn the phone vertical when applying without a frame) lol but great job on the video! Best personality on RU-vid!
T I had the first generation case. It’s best to install the screen protector when the case is on the phone and use the case as a guide for the screen protector.
I'm just adding another comment. I have the Gen 3 Rebel Aramid case. I would never have bought the one you got with no sides. I won't go back to my Infinity Mous case. The magnets are so weak it constantly falls off the charging stand if you just barely touch the phone to check messages. I've got the IPhone 13 ProMax. It is heavier than the one you have. Maybe you'll be okay with it not falling off like mine did. Also the grip on the Mous Infinity case is so slippery its hard to hold onto. That's why Mous makes their cases so durable cause you constantly drop them because they are so slippery.
Yeah it’s all personal preference but I have went back to the Mous because after a few days my Gen 3 started to creak and make some weird sounds and I’m not sure about the quality on it. Might do an updated video but I don’t have any of those issues with the Mous and yea it’s a little slippery but I would rather deal with that then weird noises when gripping the Gen 3.
@@TechnicallyTee He’s pretty cool the guy who makes they’ve been dropping phones for a long time helping u know which case to buy. Still lovin ur reviews man keep it up😎
Thanks Tee for this great review long waited for..!!! Hope you do like your flex case as much as we do & I just got mine today and was so happy to see your review of it.. 100K still waiting for it my friend, you deserve it.. 👍
Def a great case, and different style, the MagSafe by far the strongest..Great review and much needed lol ur the only RU-vidr to review dis new version.
Thanks you Tee for your reviews ! You re making the difference bro! You re making want to buy a lot of case! I just know that I won’t be disappointed !!! Thx you man ! Keep it up
Hey Tee, nice video. Ordered this case after watching your video. Yet to receive .. Best part is it’s having a screen protector also 🥰🥰🥰…Thanks for making videos of cases and sharing so much information 🙏🏻🙏🏻😊😊😊…Take care..Stay Safe
I really like the way you review cases with such dedication and patience (that screen protector and sides installations were painful to watch haha) love your vibe though man
@@TechnicallyTee that was really amazing of you to do that for your viewers, that’s why i subscribed to you instantly after watching your video for the first time, I live in India and I have ordered the Sheath in gray color for my iphone 12, shipping charges were high but u sold me the case😂
I just got my RebelGen 3 Aramid case. I know it’s different from the flex case. Mine is the best case yet to. The magnets are the best yet. It blows the Mous case away. I know this for a fact.
Hey man!! I have it, but I have been having issues with using apple pay with it on!! I have tried to reach out to them about it.. and have gotten no response!! Have you had this same problem?
Yo, can you review the Rokform case for the iPhone 13 pro max or even the regular pro? It’s 60 bucks and looks practical but there are zero reviews on it.
I've always seen Phone Rebel cases in the ether, and idk if I'll take the leap and buy this case, especially with the installation process (like you said, this should be addressed) and the sides being that exposed...can't help but wipe them down every 10 min haha. For that kind of money, I'd rather have the Caudabe Sheath (which I just purchased, thanks to you!). Great job with the video and review!
I had the Rebel case (the full case with covered sides) for my old iPhone 12 Pro Max. To me, it’s the Mous case further refined. Love my Mous cases but the buttons have sucked on all of them, the Rebel case had amazing buttons though. Other than that, Mous = Rebel but the Rebel is a bit cheaper. 👌
The new Gen 3 Phone Rebel is going to have floating metal buttons like the Apple case and some other leather cases. That’s the ultimate button style for phone cases
Great video as always! I would love to see your review of the Ringke DX case for 13 Pro. It's not as well known as their other cases but I think you'll be surprised how snug the fit is.
@@TechnicallyTee Looking forward to it! Too bad it doesn't have magnets on it, but I would very much like to hear your honest thoughts about how protective (or not) it is compared to other cases like the Sheath or Gripzilla.
I’ve had this type of cases before where the sides are exposed and it made grabbing the phone very slippery made me uncomfortable, not the case with this case??
@@TechnicallyTee Yeah these stainless steel sides will get to looking ruff if not protected, them strips won’t offer much protection as ya pointed out on just the right drop
