I’m watching this video using my 8plus, Apart than battery life,which I have to charge it twice a day, everything is perfect for me I’m not a gamer, I just using my phone to browse the internet, watching RU-vid, Disney+, Apple TV, Netflix, also Facebook, Instagrams, and Twitter So, overall, my 8 plus is still strong 😅 and I’m okay with it 🥰
Apple laughs at everyone that each iPhone is twice as fast as the previous one, and in the end, the iPhone 8 from 5 years ago is still strong and there is no difference between it and the 14 Pro, but the issue is nothing more than marketing
Don't you notice that, besides the speed, the 14 pro Max handles multitasking much better than the 8+? And the battery life? Not to mention the extra photo sensors and added technologies like LTPO2. It's clearly a billion times better. Even if for its time it was clearly the best phone if we don't talk about battery life and fragility of course. It would be great if for once in the history of mankind we could analyze things instead of believing what suits us, it would be a major step forward though... 😁
Its not only the speed is the power it has, just by opening apps iphone 14 is chilling while iphone 8 is under stress, for example in a demandibg task such as rendering the difference would be more evident, and thats just 1 example bc in every single aspect iphone 14 folds iphone 8
Shows how well iPhones age. I have a 14 pro max and my mom is still using my old 8 plus, only thing it needs soon is a new battery, she has no desire to upgrade
TL;DR: The Weather Channel’s second launch comparison was very helpful. The rest, not so much. Longer: The most useful part of this video is the second launch of The Weather Channel. I wish the creator had led it load completely on the 8+. TWC uses: GPS, real-time animated graphics, and is constantly checking for updates to display nicely packaged info about a constantly changing subject (the weather). If I’m not mistaken, many apps and (especially) websites are designed to launch quickly. Once you are in and using them, you see how much power each app takes. While it appears that the 8+ launches nearly as quickly as the 14 pro-max, I assure you that the 8+ is giving users an experience that’s much slower and more taxing on the phone.
IPhone 8 Plus is good too I currently have that phone. I like both of these iPhones the old and new but everyone has their preferences honestly I like the new one and old one so it doesn’t matter to me 🙂 they both something in common both iPhones but the cost for the are different one is much higher than the other. Hell both of them cost though but not as much as the newer one, but I’ll eventually go back to my iPhone 11 get that back like I use to..
Insufficient RAM memory, so applications that were already open have to re-process their startup. If you want to measure speed, the most convenient thing is to close the applications every time you open it
I honestly wanted the iPhone SE 3 to be an IPhone 8plus.. due to the large display and with the A15 chip and the battery of the iPhone 14. It will make a good work phone.
8 plus with a telephoto lens? And a simple battery replacement could breath new life to the iPhone 8 plus. Multitasking is alright not the best clearly when the 14 pro doubles the amount of ram compared to the 8 plus
The rounded design was very nice and the phone still looks good, but a little dated. Full screen is better, but the 6-8 were definitely very good looking phones.
Length wise from the rear. It looks about the same size as the pro max. But at the front. Clearly the pro max has more screen But the bezels on the 8 plus lets me hold my front in different ways.
There's no actual difference between these two phones when it comes to performance, main difference is that 14 pros has dynamic island and pretty slightly better main camera. But it definitely not worth it buying 14 pro max if you already have 13 pro

I have poco x3 pro 6/128, im using it for just gaming and yt, its sheet, lag like hell, its old just 6 months, now i will go to 8+, i like screen ratio and body and i saw it wouldnt lag
iOS not is a true multi-tasking system like Android, but they have a good RAM management because iOS "freeze" apps in second plan, Android still run they, why that Android is more RAM hungry and the smartphones have more RAM, also SOC influence in multi-tasking and iPhones SOC are really powerfull, except in GPU area this area Qualcomm is totally king
im currently with the iPhone 8+ and after reading the comment section, you guys don’t understand how much it’s difficult to use these days. like the battery is a huge burden and it heats up so fast i can do nothing properly. Plus it bugs a lot and the new iOS wont be compatible with the device. im thinking of switching to the 14 pro max and i hope its a good choice 🥹👍🏼
U can pick up an8 plus for around £150-200 in excellent condition with 256gb. The 14 pro max is £1309! The difference: >Better battery >Much better camera >Much better video recording >Brighter more colourful screen >More room on the screen with only the dynamic island now on it with has been made into a useful feature. >it’s faster but not by too much > it’s a 5G phone where as 8 plus limited to 4G >more memory available if needed > faster charging That’s pretty much it so if you are able and willing to pay £1309 for this instead of £150-200 then fair enough.
You are right except for "faster charging" iPhone faster charging is worse that Samsung that also is bad, imagine versus a chinese brand that charge 100% in 50min R.I.P
Last iPhone I bought was the XS MAX it stopped working 8 months after purchasing which was in middle of the covid pandemic. I still had my iPhone 8 Plus and the tech at the Apple Store told me to keep my 8 plus instead of fixing the XS Max. They couldn’t replace it because it was a refurbished model and the new screen was expensive to replace. I’m currently typing this on my iPhone 8 Plus, still working great, no issues just changed the battery last fall so it’s good as new.

Eu tenho o meu iPhone 8 Plus 256g ha 5 anos, nunca troquei a bateria e ainda está com 78% ainda dá pra aguentar mais um pouco iOS 15.6.1 Me atende muito bem
Considering core 5 vs 3 and 6ram vs 3ram? Iphone 8+ did so well. I have one and works so good. New iPhone 14 series are just rubbish. I use also a Samsung s22 ultra for photography because is way better than iPhone 14 pro max. My advice is get both! And iPhone 8 Plus and a Samsung s22 ultra

Not true. There’s very little difference performance wise between the two anymore. In fact the 23 ultra bests the 14 pro max in every area. (And yes,I had an iPhone until this year).
When the iPhone 8 plus is new , people are like ‘Oh it is basically the same as the iphone 6s plus or even the 6 plus, iPhone hasn’t evolved that much , it is not worth to upgrade.’ Fast forward to now , people are saying the same thing to the 14 pro max that it is not so different from the 8 plus . According to this theory, then you shouldn’t upgrade your phone in your life , since the 6plus =8plus=14pro max = iphone xxx from the future .
This was underwhelming (not the video but the comparison) I thought the 14 would be like at least twice as fast but apple’s marketing just makes everything better on paper
