Smartish Gripzilla is an underrated classic. I had this like 3 years ago for my iPhone 12 Mini and was really happy with it. The groovy, gripped sides and the grippy texture on this case are unique and unbeaten. The name „Gripzilla“ is serious. And please keep your way of measuring the magsafe strength with that Nomad mount 😃
I love the Wallet Slayer vol.2 by Smartish. Lightweight and comfortable and holds all three cards in the back, and this is coming from a Casetify Case for the iPhone 15 Plus.
Funny, I've kept this case in my cart on Amazon for a while, just haven't hit the buy button just yet. Great review though! I love the love it's getting.
I love my Gripzilla for my 13 Mini, and I have used either the Gripzilla or Gripmunk for all my phones for years. The magsafe is ridiculously strong- almost too strong! It's a little too heavy for me though.
This is my weekend warrior. Being outside a lot on the weeken, in the back yard, bbqing, I need a strong protection for my phone and this case is just amazing. Almost didn’t buy it because of the aesthetics, but it’s not bad at all for all the protection I get from it. Grip and fit are amazing. Such a sturdy case. Not the prettiest case but does an amazing job.
I just ordered my spaced out Gripzilla directly from Smartish because last time Amazon took two and a half weeks to deliver. Smartish only took five days. I also just ordered another flower case. I might order a clear case as well. I wouldn’t have known about them if it weren’t for you so thank you T.
It’s actually my go to case after you recommended it for the 13 I think? I use the Gripzilla for work and the slim for home. Also, unlike the Caudabe, it holds up better when you use wipes to clean your phone.
I used the Caudabe sheath for almost a year and not once did I have to clean it because it had smudges or finger prints. I did a few times to clean it and sanitize, but again, never to clean smudges or fingerprints. Also dropped it 2-3 times and not one scuff mark.
Hey, Tee! I've been enjoying your videos for a while. I like all of the things you touch on in every case review. I'm not sure how much other people care, but I'd appreciate it if you'd note whether a case has slit buttons or not. I prefer cases without slit buttons because I don't want any lint or dust making its way through the slits to the phone. I know cases use slit buttons as a way to have responsive buttons. I prefer cases that have responsive buttons in other ways, such as floating buttons. Keep up the great work!
This case and the Gripmunk are affordable alternatives to the Dbrand Grip Case. Are they as nice? No. But the grippy texture is very similar. AND the buttons on the Smartish cases are better than Dbrand.
Love the content man, just subscribed a few weeks ago. Any opinions on “Bare” cases? Specifically the Bare Armour that they’re releasing in Natural Titanium. It looks great, but I’m new to the case game and never heard of em.
Is this fit better than the previous versions? The reason I ask is because I had this case for my iPhone 12 Pro and dropped it from my back pocket, it came off and nicked my phone around the edges.
Keep the nomad base! If you’re adding another method, fine just keep this as the baseline testing. If you’re speaking about “scientific”, we need the baseline for testing. 9:50
Btw tee you can switch to those magnetic sheet & a gauss meter. (Tech up! Channel does exactly that). But your 600g+ base is next best thing. I hate when influencer ask to increase the price. Never do that please.
Yeah I could and I actually have a gauss meter and have for awhile. It's just sitting here collecting dust. I did have some magnet paper as well but I don't know where it is lol.
I might have missed it, but is it missing the small section of the MagSafe that’s on the bottom of the magnet? That little line at the bottom? The magnet to help with side to side movement
You’re referring to what’s called the “alignment” magnet, and I think it’s in there based on other companies I’ve asked who don’t show it but still have it.
Hmmmmm that's tough and I have a few options. Caudabe Synthesis hasnt come off my phone. Phone Rebel Gen 5 is up there too along with the Spigen Enzo Aramid fiber version.
@@Lachlan_McDougallthe Caudabe cases are not very grippy imo. I think the synthesis is actually more slick on the back than the sheath. It’s also odd why they only put the new microfiber lining on the sheath and not both cases. Makes no sense.
I emailed Smartish and they replied back fairly quickly explaining something was wrong with their printer for the custom colors, they got it fixed and will be sending a replacement case. Great customer service! @@TechnicallyTee
Idk I think it's fairly rated. The thing is extremely bulky and doesn't really look good so. I don't see anything that stands out enough to be noteworthy.
